It's been very good and it's been good to have him as a coach. He's a good listener and he's really helped me with parts of my work as well.

Stephen shared with me his 3-Step Breath of God Meditation. I found this easy to listen to, relaxing and felt able to receive God's love and acceptance.

Stephen is a very down to earth person who I found easy to get on with and approachable. He brings life experience as well as knowledge in his field of work to sessions. What's most important is that he has been able to help me work through my concerns and I now take a different approach to life , personally and professionally.
I am not the kind of person who writes reviews but I spends time reading others. So it was important for me to share my review with others. I would recommend Stephen to others without hesitation.

Learning from Stephen is easy. His love for what he does and ability to teach makes working with him so enjoyable.

I made tremendous changes in myself over our period of working together, changes that are embedded within my mind permanently.

Highly recommended coach..

Thank you Stephen

I was recommend to Mr Long by a friend. When I was at my wits end with my compulsion. I had tried all sorts of avenues and had failed to find a solution. My compulsion came after a serious illness. My nerves got the better of me and when ever I sat down I would rub my hands down my legs with quite some force.
Mr Long has helped me to master my compulsion and I'm a new person. By setting small tasks I can go for periods of time without rubbing my legs. It's a moment by moment task but I know that my brain is working differently, that I am normal and not a freak, which I felt before my sessions with Mr Long.

From our first meeting Stephen provided me with practical strategies to help me move forward. Stephen is always thorough in his approach and is very encouraging and supportive. Each session was positive and has provided me with a different and helpful approach of looking at my thought patterns or situation. More...

Stephen is always very supportive and I have always had food for thought whenever I've finished a session with him. I feel that what I have been advised to do has really helped me through tough times. I understand why I react the way I do in certain situations now with more insight than before. I can see a remarkable difference from before coaching to now. More...

I always take a lot away from my sessions with Stephen. Not always mega decisions or significant strategic choices but always helpful, reflective, progressive and thoughtful time.

Stephen has helped me in so many different ways, I cannot begin to recount them all and the positive impact they’ve had on my life. One example is that I have recently made large steps of progress with how I’m able to travel on the Underground network in London. I have been able to travel on my own on the two occasions I have been into London in the last month. Over a period of time, Stephen has helped me to understand how my Emotional Brain (EB) works and given me strategies to help to manage it by mobilising my Thinking Brain (TB). In the past, I would not have been able to entertain travelling by myself because I felt ‘unsafe’ to do so (rather, my Emotional Brain did). Even when travelling with others, I felt nervous and panicky at times. One of the most significant strategies that has helped me recently has been NARA: the idea of ’Noticing,’ being aware of how I’m feeling, and ‘Accepting’ the feelings, not fighting them. When I would fight them in the past, the feelings would either get worse, or wouldn’t go. Now, when I decide (using my thinking brain) to notice and accept them instead of panicking, they start to fade quite quickly. When I ‘Remain’ in the situation I allow myself to feel any feelings I may have, and when I accept them, my EB seems to be able to let them go and starts to feel ‘safer.’ I ‘Attend’ to the breath of God by using parasympathetic breathing and saying a Bible verse or phrase from a worship song to myself. By encouraging my EB by saying that we (my EB and TB) can do this part of the journey with God’s help, I allow myself to choose to accept His help by taking a step back and mobilising my ‘thinking brain.’ I am still on the ‘journey’ of getting better at travelling on the Underground, and making progress each time I do it:-) More...

Q&As

I love most working with clients on challenges they want to improve or overcome. It's a joy and a privilege to see someone breaking free of what's been holding them.

My desire to want to help people. As a former teacher of over twenty years, I know the pleasure it brings when children learn something new, when they shift their mindset to discover that they can do something and the release and opportunity that this provides. Coaching, using psychology, neuroscience, CBT and Mindfulness is enabling me to do see that positive change occurring in others again and again.

I care. I care passionately about helping people bring about the changes that they want to develop. I continuously improve my understanding and skills in various approaches and techniques including psychology (with Derby University), online courses such as neuroscience and neuroeconomics with some of the top universities throughout the world and attended workshops and online webinars with highly qualified Association for Coaching speakers. I believe that I am well qualified and experienced to help clients change their mindset and help them to get free from unwanted thinking patterns and behaviours.
