What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
It's about all the years of learning about lighting, composition, exposure, camera functions and posing come together in one moment... which usually make people comment "you must have a good camera!" to which the answer is " Yes, I taught it everything it knows"
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
1) What date is it?
2) What did you have in mind?
3) Are you looking for albums or wall art ?
4) On a scale of 1 to 10, one being I need someone to take a few snaps to 10, I really want stunning images to treasure, where would you be?
5) Is your budget lemonade or champagne?
What do you love most about your job?
I love creating images that have a 'WOW" factor and far exceed a client's expectations by looking for shots that an amateur photographer just wouldn't see. I also enjoy using creative lighting to greatly enhance image quality, style and mood.
I also spend alot of time practicing the techniques and studying the work and teaching of some of the best photographers in the world. I guess in life we never stop learning and striving to improve.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Photography started as a ludicrously expensive hobby that needed funding. I'm not sure that's changed with some on the new pro cameras that Canon are launching this year.
Why should our clients choose you?
I listen to what a client wants and try to strike a balance between getting great images on a wedding day and letting a couple enjoy their wedding day experience. I also look to exceed a clients expectations.
I offer a balance of quality and value for money so that a client can decide what suits them best and feel more than happy to recommend me to family and friends.
I'm also offering a 'free' evening studio photobooth for all wedding clients booking a full day's wedding photography.
