About

Stephen James” is a singer/songwriter/producer who started out his music career as a DJ in the 90’s, during which time Stephen also taught himself how to play the guitar, drums and piano. He learned his production trade through getting his diploma in music engineering and singing, writing and producing his own albums. To date, Stephen has 4 personal albums under his belt and has remixed for Nelly (It's getting hot) and Ginuwine (differences).
Stephen has more recently been working with other independent artists from ages 13 to 50 and
has taught them songwriting and harmonies as well foundation lessons into music production and transformed artists that have wanted to become part of a band. By taking time to create melodies, arrangements, and lyrics for the individual’s specifications, Stephen has been a great teacher passing on his self-built knowledge of the industry.
With what has been described as crisp production, Steve engages the imagination in every song capturing the moment allowing for a greater connection to the music for the listener. Stephen has also recently been mixing, mastering and creating beats with melodies and hooks to complement independent rappers’ structured lyrics and has been featured on a number of their tracks on youtube.
