I'm only basing my review on the client-to-customer experience, not on the trip experience booked through Stellar Travel (I can follow up on that). I was interested in traveling over New Years this year (last minute: 41 days out; crazy) and I was having a hard time finding good deals using an online travel agency and I wanted to talk to someone for a change. I called, got a human voice on the other end and Lisa was very prompt. Asked me only 4 questions about my travel preferences and interests and within 30 minutes, I got an email with package options. I ended up booking the Cancun trip because of one little tidbit in the email - the personalized recommendation by Lisa on why I should choose Cancun over the other. We recently returned from an Alaska trip coordinated for us by Tracy Hughes. We had three wonderful adventures in 12 days - Denali, Homer, Whittier/Girdwood. Each detail was expertly planned by Tracy. The trip was a delightful blend of a couple of tours and lots of time on our own which was exactly what we wanted. I have had several bad experiences with travel agents in the past. My experience with Stellar, particularly Kay Steck, was (and continues to be) the complete opposite. She is knowledgeable, attentive, and above all communicative. I never felt as though I was on the 'back burner' or wasn't important enough to gain a speedy reply. Being someone who works with coordinating group travel not only for teachers but students as well it's not only my safety I'm concerned about but that of students. I had the pleasure of using Kay two years ago to help coordinate flights for a group of approx. 18 to go to the Galapagos as well as a group flying to Peru. Both went off splendidly and any time I had a question she was quick to answer. Last year the 'powers that be' provided a different travel agent that was simply, easily put, sub par, rude, awful, and waited until the last minute with various aspects of our travel. After going through that experience I was once again able to use Kay and her team. And for that I am absolutely grateful! Once again we had a group of 24 set off to the Galapagos, and ~18 to Argentina. She answered questions about visa's, passport requirements, and brought up a number of things I would not have known to ask. All our students, and faculty, arrived back to Seattle without a hitch and I owe that to Kay's expertise. I have worked with Sheryl from Stellar Travel on two family vacations with outstanding success in both Hawaii and Mexico. She arranged perfect accommodations and gave us excellent guidance, making great memories of both trips . This year I made the mistake of working with a discount agency and am experiencing the exact opposite in customer service, a nightmare in trying to untangle their errors and with an agent who will not return calls. I have worked with Christy in the Past and Now work with Nathan. They have both shown stellar CS and amazing organization when booking my international flights for travel! I go to China about once a Year, and visit over 6 cities and a few countries. So I need tickets booked on many different flight carriers. I have tried to book in the past on Google Flights etc, but its almost impossible to request the seat I want and my special meal. Stellar Travel can always find the same deals as online booking sites, and contact airlines for request seats and meals and do it in a very affordable fee for multiple trip destination. I should have done this a LONG time ago.With today's internet access and prices I thought I could handle creating a great trip myself. Â I soon found myself overwhelmed with options, details, and things I never even considered. Â Nathan and his coworkers created a most memorable, easy, complete and fun trip out of the pieces I had already assembled. Â Giving them full creative license is even better! Â Â All the details fold together in ways I had only hoped. Â Every last reservation, transfer, limo, bus, tickets, and meals were planned out for me or had recommendations on the best way to proceed.We met celebrities we only dreamed of meeting, we visited places we would not have know about, and all the events were orchestrated in ways that helped us get the most of our time and money.I doubt that I will ever travel without their help and advice again! My husband, daughter and son-in-law are headed to Italy for 3 weeks and this trip could not have been possible without Stellar Travel. Rita Goldman first help us and she was so nice and gave us great information to help us choose the right transportation for a smooth trip. Then after she retired she handed us over to Denise Larson who is an angel. We had to change our itinerary a few times and Denise did it with a smile and made sure each time we received an updated itinerary. Going forward , Stellar Travel will book all my travel. My boyfriend and I had a great trip to Mexico, thanks Kari at Stellar Travel. She took care of everything, got us a great airline rate and put us in Secrets Maroma, it was an amazing resort! We used Stellar Travel for our trip to Hawaii last summer. Initially we were going to take a cruise and Sheryl gave a consice list of three cruises available during the time we wanted to travel and to where. She explained the differences and gave me an idea of what would be best for our family. We have a 5 year old so we wanted it to be fun for her and us. We ended up changing our mind because my in laws backed out on us so we decided to go to Oahu. Sheryl wasn't annoyed with us and was extremely helpful in planning our Hawaii trip. Sheryl helped us pick out a hotel which I was quite greatful as the one I suggested that I found on my internet search was too far from the beach. We ended up with a great hotel close to the beach with a view that was unbelieveable. Sheryl also booked activities for us so that we didn't have to worry about it when we arrived. Our company has used Stellar for over 7 years and we just love them. We book domestic and international travel – complex, changing itineraries and all of the agents at Stellar have done an outstanding job making sure our employee’s travel is handled quickly and efficiently and with a smile – best customer service! ! In the unfortunate event that something goes wrong with a trip, delayed flights etc. they are always there to help get the traveler a hotel room or different flights whatever we need they take care of it. I support executives who have demanding and ever changing schedules – I work closely with Tim at Stellar and he knows the travel preferences of the executives as well if not better than I do. When a change is necessary a quick phone call and everything is handled. Susan has been exceptionally helpful in working with hotels for corporate rates – she did all the leg work. We got all the benefit. The agents help us monitor our travel costs according to our company guidelines and are able provide reports for a accounting dept. Many employees have also used Stellar to book personal vacations and have found them to be exceptional in the leisure as well as business travel. More...
