I have spent many years studying and enjoying photography and videography as an art and a way to express and enjoy beautiful images. It wasn't long ago that I finally turned my passion and many years of enjoyment into a gift that I can give to others.

Stella was amazing - We only had one day that our family was going to be together and Stella was able to fit us in to her schedule - and just getting a 3 year old and 1 year old to sit still and smile was a feat beyond comprehension - but in addition she was able to get magical pictures of all of my girls - 2 daughters and 2 granddaughters and from start to finish the experience was 5 star plus - I would highly recommend Stella for any occasion - She is professional, funny, organized, creative and captured memories for a lifetime - Our photo shoot was in Banks Oregon and was simply a time when some of our family were together and we wanted to capture photos of us all - Thank you Stella Maris Photography!

Though I have only seen a sneak peak of our maternity photos, I have no doubt that the remaining images, and our upcoming newborn images will be equally as wonderful.
Stella has a way of connecting with her clients that allows them to truly be themselves so she can capture the real essence of the moment and the personality of the family. One of the best compliments I can pass along is this: I saw a friend this weekend who asked:
"Do you have a best friend who is also a professional photographer?" I asked why she would think that and she responded:
"Because your maternity pictures are SO you, SO intimate, but SO perfect all at the same time. I figured it was someone you knew really well."

What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
I love chatting with clients before their session or special day so that I can get to know them. I don't see a client as a client, but as a friend. Checking in with them later, seeing how life is going and much more. Friendship is the key to a great session.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
My number one question is," What do you plan to do with your images?" It isn't surprising that clients run out of time to print and create artwork from their session so I continue my service with a reveal and order session. I also like to ask my clients about their story, who they are what they like to do, who will be (if anyone) in the images and much more. When starting it is key to get to know the person and who they are.
What do you love most about your job?
The reveal session. I LOVE THIS PART! We don't just stop at the end of your photo session, but we schedule a time to have your relaxing reveal and order session. I help you create artwork that you will LOVE and cherish and in the end you have a completed project from your session that you will be able to display, share and see every day.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have always loved photography as a way to express myself. I also love meeting new clients and capturing beautiful artwork for them. This pleases my heart when someone walks away with such pleasure of the images they are receiving.
Why should our clients choose you?
I have a down-to-earth approach on my sessions. I guide my client to capture the essence of who they are and capture the story they are living. Telling your story is one thing I love to do and I think this shows through my work.
