Stauntons on the Green was the perfect place to stay while in Dublin. Quiet and lovely, I could enjoy a view over St. Stephens Green from my room, and a view over the lovely Iveagh gardens out back while walking downstairs. The staff members were so lovely and gracious, helpful in moving heavy bags, and in allowing me to invite cousins to breakfast at the last minute. Their breakfasts are hearty and delicious, including my new favorite bread -- tea brack (raisins soaked in tea)! I loved sitting in the breakfast room in the evening to read the newspapers, or enjoy tea or a nightcap. A few minutes walk to Grafton Street activities, it is also next to the new Museum of Literature Ireland, which is well worth a visit! Thank you so much, Stauntons staff! When we arrived, we signed in and the receptionist asked was that the only bag pointing to my case. I said Yes, and she answered I'll get the porter to bring it up to your room. The receptionist then told us how to get to our room and if we needed anything to dial 0. The room was clean, bright and lovely. There was bottled water, sweet jellies and tea/coffee making facilities. On our way out for the night it was raining so I went back in and asked could I borrow an umbrella, No problem said the receptionist. I was delighted and it kept us dry. The breakfast was super delicious and the staff were very attentive. Fresh bowl of fruit and yogurt and some delicious orange juice before the main breakfast. This was our favorite hotel in all our 14 day trip in Sept.2019. It set the standards high for all of Ireland. Beautiful rooms, wonderful quiet courtyard and garden. The upgraded room was worth the money for me, I enjoy a large area. I cannot say enough about the welcoming staff. Always going out of our way to help us. Try to get a garden view, the front views were a little loud with the traffic noise.. But we are country people, and not used to it. One night we went to the local supermarket and picked up dinner, and ate it in the garden. What a relaxing beautiful night. I love this hotel!!! ☘️ More...

Nice location, easy to get to from airport. We arrived late in the evening due to multiple delayed flights. Staff helped unload our luggage from our taxi in the rain, and the desk manager gave helpful directions to a market open late nearby. There was a nice Mediterranean takeout restaurant called Chili’s that had delicious chicken shawarma and falafel open late. More...

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at Stauntons on the Green. The location is ideal for touring around Dublin, the rooms are well-appointed and comfortable. The breakfast was probably the best hotel breakfast we have experienced with a friendly waitstaff. When we encountered a minor issue with our room, the staff was more than accommodating and worked very quickly to remedy the situation. They were also very helpful with restaurant recommendations and arranging airport transportation. Our room was on the 4th level of the original Georgian inn and the only surprise was that there were no elevators, which we didn't mind. But, if you are adverse or unable to climb many stairs then I would suggest calling to make your reservations and request a ground or lower floor room. More...

A fabulous recent stay and already missing our vacation with you! An upgrade to both rooms on arrival and daily cookies left in our room for tea time. Any requests to the staff were followed through immediately. A lovely clean, garden facing, quiet room with a black out blind to ensure the best sleep. The hotel is close to great restaurants and the Gaiety theater where we saw Let it Be which was amazing! Super shopping nearby and the stunning St. Stephen's Green Park to wander through and see swans and lovely pathways. The Hop On Hop Off Bus is easily within a few mins walk from the hotel. Grafton St and Temple Bar are easy walking distances too. Breakfast is amazing at Stautons and it was fun to meet others on holiday. The hotel is small enough to easily meet other travelers in the front lobby. I would highly recommend staying here. There was some noise with early morning construction on a building close by and at the hotel but with older buildings needs to be done. Thankyou for making our 31st Anniversary so special with a bottle of wine to our room with chocolates. We hope to return another time! More...

Booked the room a few days in advance and nabbed a nice room for myself. The bedroom was clean, the bed was big and comfortable. Check in and check out were impressively quick, and the staff was very friendly. I want to thank the staff especially for keeping my phone charger safe for me to collect later that afternoon, when I realised I forgot it after check out. Tea & biscuits upon arrival. The toiletries products were by VOYA. Bathroom was clean, and water hot, though there was an odd noise from the bathroom fan when left on for too long (shower + brushing teeth etc.). It was a great location for me as I needed to go to Baggot Street, Pearse Station and Aungier Street - all were under 15 mins walking distance. More...

What a great hotel. really wonderful location right on St Stephens Green. The staff are all lovely and friendly. Bedrooms are spacious and nicely decorated. We booked this hotel last minute and what a gem it was. Location is perfect, staff were just fabulous, decor was lovely, bed was so comfortable, the towels were lovely and fluffy, the shower was excellent, the breakfast was gorgeous. ..I could go on. Oh yes the extra little touches of the fruit left in bowls and the fruit infused water were that bit special. Great place to spend our four day holiday in Dublin. The staff were very accommodating and Tom was exceptional in welcoming us our first day and making many recommendations - many of which we followed and were very glad we did. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful and quite delicious.
