Status Home Design opened in the Fall of 2015. We opened with 7500 sq ft, 10 vendors, and large interior design studio. Within the year, Status was able to add a 5,000 sq ft showroom expansion, 30 more vendors, and a full seamstress/upholstery studio.

Great Shopping experience! Complimentary food and drink as we entered. All the staff was very pleasant and interactive during our wondering. Items showed some markdowns. It was our 1st visit - we normally go to Queen of Hearts about once a month. I shop there a little more frequently due to marketing needs for my business. Such a fun store! Like most consignment stores, you never know what you'll find when you stop in. But unlike most consignment stores, everything is displayed SUPER neatly so you don't have to dig around. They have beautiful light fixtures for display, and lots of reclaimed wood for sale, along with some great furniture pieces and adorable decor. What’s your interior design process?
I always start with the consultation. This is either in person at the design center, or in the space, we are working to create. Nowadays, I am doing a lot more virtual consultations so that has been an exciting change in the industry. After I compile a list of what's needed to complete the project, I go to work on selections and pricing. Each project is unique, but I always formulate a budget and schedule. I provide samples, selections, and project boards so the client knows exactly how we will proceed. Whether it's my project or one of my designers, we see each one though beyond completion because in the design industry with trends changing, you want someone you can count on.
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
Each of us has our own personal style, but my expertise comes with being able to design for any client and their style. It is my job to listen closely to their needs and help them create the space they desire. I strive to reflect your very personal style in every corner of your home or business.
What do you love most about your job?
I LOVE helping clients, customers, and friends create an environment to reflect their personal taste and fulfill their expectations. I provide a confident design for living or working that sets us apart from others. Having the final result embrace a memorable and timeless atmosphere is my highest ambition. Each client is unique and should feel like their surroundings are an extension of themselves.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have always had a passion for design and decorating. I opened my firm because I knew I could help people on a larger scale. I also own a 12,000 sq ft retail store which allows me to help people buy special items for their homes even if they aren't using a designer. I love what I do because I love helping my community. I even write a blog about great design projects and what they mean to people. I married together two things I love - design and people. Status Home Design, Status Design Studio, Inc., and the Status Life Blog were born from this passion. Coming soon is the Status Market which will allow customers to shop right from their homes.
Why should our clients choose you?
I love helping to create beautiful, interesting spaces. My clients are more than clients, they all become friends. I've been in the design business since 2000 and recently won the award "best interior design firm" in Gwinnett County. I have also recently begun teaching design trends because they are everchanging. As a designer, it's my job to know the trends as this is what my clients will be expecting. I give the same attention to each and every client and no job is too large or too small!
