One of our go to places for food. Staff always pleasant we love each and every one of them. Never a bad experience. Food never disappoints.
Love this place #1
Excellent food and service. We try to eat there at least once on our trips back to South Boston.
not bad. not too expensive either.
Great food, vibe & quiz night too
Great place for beer, gets busy at times. Will be back.
Great bar and great staff.
Great place for drinks and bar food on an off night. Gets a bit crazy during peek weekend hours and major sporting events.
Good sandwiches. Great service. Great atmosphere. Loved it!
Omg, what's in the tomato soup, it's soo good. Corned beef is good, steak tips, steak and blue cheese on pretzel roll . Food was good but drinks were a bit weak
Stopped in at Stats recently for some dinner. Great food, cold beer, decent prices but above all great service. Hannah was my server, and she was fantastic. Professional, friendly, and I didn't have to look around for her, that means a lot. More...
Classic dive bar with great food. Plus we saw some bruins players!
Nice place, you can have some good drinks and the place has a good vibe
Great selections! Service was a tad slow considering there was a game and the pride parade. Just not thought out on management level for help. Prices were okay considering location. Would go back to give it another shot! More...
bar food, mmm, quality stuff. I like it here always quality food & service. Service treated us so kindly. The bill was decent for the quality. Food is similar to a cafe in Indianapolis I liked. More...
Really enjoyed the Mac and Cheese Fritters. So tasty with the buffalo sauce!
Good food and drinks.
Go here for trivia and bruins games. Beer of the month best deal in town
Recently ordered the bacon cheeseburger, the pretzel crusted chicken sandwich and the chicken club sandwich. All three sandwiches were excellent. The cheeseburger and pretzel crusted chicken were served on pretzel buns and the club was made on sourdough toast. The sandwiches were huge and served with french fries and a pickle. Pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. More...
I found this gem walking in the rain looking for food while in area for a conference and thought the food was pretty good. Went back this year and it was even better. Sports bar bonus if that is your thing, easy enough to turn out if it isn't. More...
People know this place as a crowded bar, but the food is excellent. Go midweek or early if you want to avoid the bar crowd. The buffalo tenders and steak quesadilla are my go tos, but also love the Greek salad with salmon. More...
Excellent Avocado Burger, enjoyed my lunch.
I visited Stats for the 1st time recently, great food and great prices, but what will bring me back is the service. A wonderful lady named Leah was my server and she was professional, polite, knowledgeable, and friendly. I could not have asked for more and I will certainly be back to Stats. More...
Best place to southie Sunday
The staff is awesome , so friendly and attentive. Great food and great selection of beers!
Lots of good times were had over the years at Stats. Twisted Teas and Truly's never not flowing. Dr. McGillicuddy's and fireball shots at the ready. Food is amazing and underrated here, seriously. DJ Sammy Sprinkles will forever remain a legend and a favorite on those eventful nights. 10/10 would drink at again. More...

Wonderful people, service and food
Steak and cheese egg rolls, Cajun chicken tacos, and buffalo tenders all excellent- pleasant surprise for a sports bar. Tons of TVs and great beer selection. 5/5
Good burger and price, no crowd at lunch.
If you want to watch a big game this is the place to be especially in the summer
Steady dose of Fetty Wap had the whole place jumpin
Comfy bar to meet up with colleagues and school mates after work
Sundy games and sunday brunch

Best waitress hands down Danielle Corcoran.
Upset the Sox lost last night but the atmosphere at stats was electric. Great food and service as always, but the music last night was on point between innings. Vibe manager was killing it!
Stats is one of my favorite places and Katie Romano is my favorite bartender
Great place, fun crowd and packed for a Tuesday evening.
I have the pleasure of coming here weekly post sports league, and it's a great place to hangout. I can only speak on the appetizers and drinks, but that should be fine because MAN the appetizers are great. The chicken tenders here are wild. Wild. Like, it seems that they take practically entire chicken breasts and bread and deep fry them right there. The normal chicken tenders are good, but there are also cajun tenders and buffalo tenders which keep getting better as you progress. The plate is so huge that you could definitely get that as your entire meal, and likely not finish it all depending on how hungry you are. Another noteworthy app to try is the steak and cheese egg rolls, which are exactly what they sound like. Also give the honey garlic wings a try. The nachos had mixed reviews, some people loved them and some people (me) thought they could have been better, but I'm from California so what can I say? Overall there haven't been many complaints from anyone and I come here with a large group every time. Service could be better, but if you come with friends and have a few drinks and some chicken tenders you probably won't care. Good vibes, good food. More...
Fun, great food, great staff.
One of the better townie bars in southy. But in the end it's all basically a townie bar.
This place was pretty good. Really nice sports bar with some pretty good brunch options.

Very good place
Buffalo tenders are great. Good spot for a game if you can get in. It's quite the gathering spot for bro's and basics for Sunday funday.
Fun place, very authentic southie, good party vibes
Love the industrial theme. Brand new tv's. Staff is so friendly and efficient. Great drink menu. Highly recommend!!
Had a great experience tonight with the manager Maureen who really went above & beyond to turn a mess up around. As someone who also works in a restaurant I really appreciated her great customer service and wish my managers could take a note from her! Will be back soon :)
Great service and food
Good place for good bar food and beer. Watched WC game and enjoyed the atmospher--nothing too crazy. Very good service.
Excellent brunch.. Great staff
Honestly, I wasn't expecting much but the food and beverage selection was good! Nacho and the Buffalo tenders are a must.
I come in here all the time and each time i have gone I have never had any issues. The food as well as the service are both amazing. The buffalo chicken dip and wings are definitely my favorite items on the menu. They have a lot to choose from and everything about this place is just great. My food also always comes out so fast which I love. I definitely recommend going here everything is great. More...
Found Stats by accident and just wow!! Veg burger was very unique and delicious. Sweet potato fries are magical--fluffy and crisp at the same time and no greasiness. Server was amazingly efficient and very nice. Oh and the Down East cider on tap is fantastic. Clean and nice atmosphere too. Music at a reasonable level and TVs not overwhelming. You can have a nice conversation here and totally enjoy yourself! More...
Went with friends to watch the Sox game and had a great time. It was also trivia night which was a lot of fun. They have a great beer selection and a good food menu.
Loved the food that I ordered Marinated steak tips with fries. The server was very polite and the food runner. The place has a fast customer service and its always crowded.
Good place to have a drink & food, nice spot to go to in southie...
"I once drank a thousand beers."- I just noticed this unfinished review from 2015. I do not remember this specific day but I think what I was trying to get at here is that, while I don't think I necessarily drank one thousand beers, I must've drank an above average amount of cocktails this day and for all intents and purposes had a very nice time. Finding this unfinished review is a revelation to me and it has shown me that I have a great talent for writing yelp reviews. Effective immediately I am quitting my stable job as an Accountant and becoming a professional yelp reviewer in order to make millions of dollars (like Logan Paul). Lets all get rich, Tim More...
Got food delivered for the first time tonight and it was awesome! Got burger and steak sandwich and we both enjoyed them. Delivery was quick too.
One of South Bostons finest establishments. Very underrated spot to grab lunch, a casual dinner, or watch a sports game. Highly recommend putting in your meal at the same time as you appetizer if you chose to get one as the slow service is the only negative part about eating here. I've gotten many of the appetizers and they all have been pretty good. I'm a big fan of the Reuben. Have to get the sweet potato fries as a side or you are doing it wrong. More...
Of better known local landmarks, there are innumerable. But in my experience, nothing so aptly sums up the modern Boston experience than Stats Bar and Grille. Each time I arrive at Logan airport, I faithfully check in on my college compadres and confirm I should set my Lyft/Uber coordinates due southwest to meet them at Stats. There, I never cease to find exactly what the name suggests: tall, intoxicated bros, bud light slick floors, Tom Brady worshippers and Good Will Hunting accents complete with how-do-you-like-them-apples-esque exchanges. The circular bar keeps things interesting, the staff are friendly, and it only takes 7 minutes of shoulder edging and uncompromised attempted bartender eye contact to order from their decent draft list. Though I've never experienced it, they also maintain a bar food menu and a brunch option. So check out Stats, where you can grab a bud with your buds and debate the greater questions in life: why does the word grill sometimes have an extra "e" and is that chick at the bar checking you guys out? Spot was Bangin on a rainy Sunday afternoon, food was fantastic and service was in point, what more can I say, burgers are amazing.
Great brunch spot! Weekend nights and afternoons usually get a little too crowded however. The layout of the place doesn't allow that much movement around the bar and thus people get crammed together into a college house party hallway-like situation. Despite this, it's a great way to meet people and talk together about how terribly crowded and poorly designed the space is. More...
Great place to sit and have a beer. Can get a bit noisy.
This place attracts South-end heavy drinking young crowd. American food selection. Loud music!
Good people watching
I hear the trivia on Tuesday nights is pretty awesome
Great place with good food and good beers and lots of TV screens (mainly sports).
The Staff is GREAT!!!!! Very attentive food is Great and the service is always Top Notch
Small, cool, post college kids
Hot food, cool sports! All good!
GREAT TIME - STAFF is 5 STARS always taking GREAT CARE of the customers and FOOD/DRINKS are some of the best in #BEANTOWN Miguel and his crew take care of Bizznezz Top of the Line
Great local bar
I've gotten carry out from here twice and both times were excellent. I had the burger and chicken pesto sandwich.. Would definitely recommend both. The jalapeño ranch is great
Don't get me wrong, I don't do the Sunday Funday lines that last for 2-3 hours and are 50 people deep. But this bar can be a great spot if you catch it on a night where the crowd isn't too big. They have good beer deals for the area, miller lites and bud bottles are $5. It doesn't usually take too long to get a drink at the bar, and the overall bar is a U shaped bar and has quite a few seats.I've had the chicken caesar salad wrap and it was good. They also have a turkey burger with a sun-dried tomato pesto which is delicious. The bar is bi-level and can hold quite a few people. There's also plenty of TV's to come in and watch a game. It's hit or miss if you're going to catch a big crowd, but it's a good bar. More...
Came here for dinner with friends and was again very pleased with the service and food that we received! My only complaint is regarding the spinach artichoke dip. It comes with "pita chips" that are not very typical when you think pita chips. I'm not even sure how to describe them but I was not a fan of them. Still giving them a 5/5 because the service is fantastic and the portions are huge. Easily shareable with a few friends. More...

Good appetizers. Good burger. Good staff. Not a sports fan, but I'd visit again outside of game time.
Bartender was the coolest ive met in a long time. Good drink prices and a great "come as you are" atmosphere
Fun little spot. Beware of the $20 cover and the inattentive bartenders though.
Really good BBQ bacon burger, and great monthly beer specials.
Fun spot fit college kids
Really good brunch - and free Bloody Mary (or mimosa or screwdriver) with meal - can't beat that deal. It was a little slow service but the meal was fantastic. Had the buffalo chicken and sweet potato hash and it was well worth it. Potatoes were also really good and crispy. Highly recommend More...
I gotta say I love Stats. If I was a Brit, this would be my "local" as I'm here at least once most weeks. For a sports bar in Southie, Stats has a really solid menu with a wide variety of choices. Though most of the unhealthy fried stuff is the best. Personal favorite would be the Cajun style chicken tenders - but be sure to get extra sauce (that's what makes them good). The service can be hit-or-miss but the waitresses are usually up for a bit of good-natured banter. The drink menu is nothing special but they do have a beer of the month which is only $3 bucks per pint. If there is a major or local sporting event happening day or night expect this place to be packed (line out the door for the Pats) so show up early. Definite recommend for some solid food and dancey / top 40 and occasional 90s early 2000s rap (Yes!).Also - if it's EVER a toss-up between Stats and somewhere like Playwright or BBG - please do not go to one of those places they are trash (especially BBG). Go to Stats. More...
Pretty good service and good at handling a large party with split bill. Tried the nachos, and spinach and artichoke dip which were both great! Had the clam chowder as well which has bacon in it (LOVE) and split a Caesar salad that was pretty average. Also tried a pistachio shot here delicious like candy. Went here on a busy Sunday during a Pats game and staff was pretty friendly and good with it being crowded.Only four stars because not that clean of a place and bathroom was pretty gross. More...
Used to live across the street from Stats and its a solid sports bar in Southie. Major issue with this place is how crowded it gets and the crowd wasn't my favorite, as much as I enjoyed going there this is not the sort of place I would wait in a considerable line for. Biggest selling point here is the brunch. Its an amazing value and you get a drink (mimosa, bloody mary, or screwdriver) included with your meal. Bonus points for the fact that they serve the mimosa in a pint glass. More...
Usually this place is always happening and packed with sports fans and young Southie professionals. Today the vibe was happy & light and they were playing loud hip hop music. The food was spot on for American Bar & Grill, love that I could get healthy bar food ...but what made our experience a four star and not a three star was our awesome waitress Jessica. Sometimes a server can make even a quick lunch that much better and she did just that! More...
You never have a bad time at Stats. The food is always good, not great and the beer is plentiful and cheap. They give you a free bloody, mimosa, or screwdriver with brunch - and have fireside beers on tap for $3. How can you beat that?
Phenomenal food... Food is very fresh and delicious. I mostly order out from Stats using an app so i can only speak on how it tastes when it comes to my door. Great every single time. Steaktip salad with apples and cranberries is my choice every single time, its healthy, very filling and like i said before very fresh. Highly recommend Stats. More...
Stats has really improved their food selection over the last year. They have added more modern (and delicious) food choices to their menu such as "Mac and Cheese Fritters. " Their food is definitely better than typical bar food. It gets crowed whenever there is a game on TV and the crowd is really fun. I would recommend going for their trivia night (Tuesdays) -- they give out good prizes and the people who run the trivia are fun and engaging. More...
The staff was friendly and the appetizers we sampled were wonderful. The establishment was able to host over 100 guests easily. The acoustics were fine even with the large party. In fact it was refreshing having a conversation not shouting at an event like this. The local IPAs were delicious and I highly recommend this bar. More...

Solid brunch spot in Southie. Hearty portions (we had lots of leftovers) at reasonable prices. The homemade donuts were certainly a highlight. It was loud and crowded at the bar on a football Sunday around noon, but we were seated right away in the back. Our server was on-point and attentive, despite the full house. I was impressed. More...
I was visiting Boston a few weeks agofor my buddies engagement party. He took me here one night, he used to be a bouncer there. We ordered steak salads, and they were pretty good, like an 8/10, surprising for a bar type of setting. The beers were cold the servers were decent, the bartenders were cool 6/10 for the service staff. 8/10 for the prices. The vibe is cool and fun. I don't even know why they would ever need a bouncer, you know? We even returned to Stats for brunch that Sunday and it was yummy. I would make this spot my spot if I lived in the area. Thanks Stats More...

Great job last night. I guess they didn't know kickball started. (Shame on you BSSC) So the place filled up all at once and they handled it amazingly. I was people watching and the staff worked very professionally to get the job done. The manager addressed us when we sat down, got us our beer quickly and flawlessly executed our food. Normally I wouldn't think to go to Stats, but you won me over. Nice job. More...
Ah Stats.... this place has the sort of atmosphere that makes you want to pound shots at 10:00AM. The food is pretty good, I've mostly been here for brunch but they also have delicious shrimp tacos and burgers etc. Its definitely more of an atmosphere sort of place than food destination, but it's a fun pregame spot. Went here for brunch on Sunday and we loved it! It has a young, fun atmosphere and the food was delicious. They have a ton of entree options and each comes with either a bloody mary, mimosa or screwdriver. I suggest the mexican omelette with a mimosa, and whatever the beer of the month is. This was a fun place to go to watch March Madness and enjoy Sunday brunch. Great food and great drinks at a great price - I will definitely be back! More...

This is a GREAT bar! The nachos are delicious and quite addictive...lots of cheese, onions, peppers, guacamole, salsa, halapeno peppers, and sour cream. BUT there are really fine items on the menu as well. The customer service is amazing, and very quick. I found the women who take care of the bar are quite charming and very social. A customer can even take one's food to go as well! The beers are exceedingly good and there are many tvs to watch your favorite sport. I LOVE THIS PLACE and will continue to keep coming! More...
We met up with some friends here and had the best time! The bar had great music and good drinks. I had a great time here. There was a larger number of women than men here which was interesting and made for great people watching. We will definitely be back!
I've known Jim Statiros from his previous location on Broad Street, and what I've come to realize is that these Greeks really know how to prepare food. Everything I've ordered here has been phenomenal. Among some of the dishes I've enjoyed are burgers, the goat cheese salad, the buffalo calamari, and the Cuban. Don't be fooled into thinking that since this place is a sports bar it offers the same "so so" food as Playwright and BBG. And unlike its rivals, it has $3 beer specials!Stats is 5 stars in my book, which can be broken down as follows:-great for viewing sports games-newer, nicer, and cleaner inside than Southie sports bar competitors-affordable "underrated" food menu-superior crowd to competitors' (tolerable mix of Southie originals and yuppies)-happening night life-attractive staff and amicable owners More...
I usually go here in the afternoon for lunch with friends, they are always so nice and the menu is "all American" everyone can find something great to eat. Had a great time at Stats! It was the perfect way to end my weekend in Boston. We arrived around 10:30pm on Sunday night and it was the right kind of crowded. Made our way to the bar and ordered the first round. Quick, attentive service from the bartender. We moseyed our way to the upper level and grabbed a table in the far left corner, overlooking the bar. Let me tell you, this is a fantastic bar for people (read: guy) watching. There was a beautiful crowd below for the four of us (best friends from high school) to observe. Not to belabor the point but there were honestly four dudes for every lady. Now I'm a happily taken girl, but those odds are ever in your favor. At the table, we had a really sweet server who helped us the rest of the night. She made small-talk with us and it ended up that we had an acquaintance in common. Small world! Loved how she took a few extra minutes from her busy night to connect with us.Neighborhood bar feel with a good-looking crowd and great service. How can you go wrong? More...
Stats is one of my favorite bars in Southie. I tend to avoid it on the weekends but love trivia Tuesdays! Their salads are surprisingly good and creative -- weirdly enough Stats is my favorite place in all of Boston to get a salad. The other food on the menu consists of your standard pub fare and is pretty decent. They don't have too much going on in terms of unique beer, but do have a $3 monthly special which usually features something decent (Sam Alpine Spring, Brooklyn Summer, etc).Definitely a good place to grab dinner or watch a game in Southie! More...
I've done Sunday Fundays at many places in Boston and I'd have to say that this place is probably my favorite. Lots of young people, tons of TVs, and lots of huge football fans. This is probably the most bro bar I've been to in Boston as everyone is talking about fantasy football and gambling on the games. If you don't like those football I'd advise going another day (though I'm certain its like that every night). Lots of very friendly wait staff and some surprisingly delicious food as well. I'd highly recommend Stats to anyone under 30. More...
Great place to watch a game and have some beers! The food is solid and the place has a great feel to it! Keep up the good work!
pretty good place, nice bar food.BF had a bleu cheese burger, was pretty dry and not so flavorful. would not order again. sweet potatoe fries were very good . i got the steak tips, tasty, nice rice and some salad. a pretty balanced meal in a bar scene. beer was cheap, beer of the month is only 3 dollars More...
I always have a really good time at this bar. The crowd is late 20s and the place is always packed. There is an upper and lower level so it's bigger than it looks when you get inside. The bartenders were quick and easy to get their attention. Overall a fun place. More...
Best place to be on a Sunday by far!!! Place is always packed - good service and TONS of beer on tap!
As a sport's bar, it does not disappoint. Has everything you want in a "yeah dude" bar, and a couple things you weren't expecting. Let's check the list: - Flat-screens? yup, lots of 'em. And they show Boston sports teams too! - cute staff? yup, tons of eye-candy, cute bartenders a'plenty- bar food? yessir. And it's good too! didn't see that coming. The pizza's are great, the buffalo chicken tenders are freakin' awesome, and the salads are tasty if you like salads- Beers on tap? whammy! they also run a beer o' the month for $3. Yes Please! - Sports bar service? Hellz yes! Of course the service is slow, it's a bar. Get another beer; It's just more time to smooth out that pimp KG jersey and get ready for the gang of 24 year old chicas that showed up dressed up just to get messed up. It's a popular spot for sure, always packed on the peak nights. Pretty solid yuppie/local crowd, good meat market Southie scene. Always cracks me up seeing girls dolled out for a night out at Stats, but hey, those heels aren't going to wear themselves. Doyourthanggurlll. More...
Always packed. Always been lucky enough to score a table. Full of men. Beer. Pretty decent food menu.Lots of tv's for games. I have no complaints.
Went there for the first time last weekend after work. I had only of heard of Stats but never seen or visited. I worked till about 10:30 that night and headed over there after. By the time I got there the place was packed. I had to wait for someone to leave to get in. But it was only a few minutes. I'm sure lines do form once it gets later. It's a decent size neighborhood bar. It fills up mostly with young adults and locals. Seemed to be a good mix of groups and then singles. Pretty ideal for the sharks and people looking for a one night stand. I couldn't find my party it was so packed. Not a bad thing. Very lively and they had a good amount of tv's in the bar. Once I found my party I wasted no time catching up drinking. they have a decent selection of drafts on tap, but they make a great cocktail. I had a few Stoli Razz and Soda's, quiet a few actually. My party knew people who worked there and the owner and they raved about how great the place was, and they were right. It's a nice bar to go out and have a great time. I hope to try the food next time, what surrounding tables had all look and smelled great. All my Stoli cocktails were nice and strong. About $7 for each drink which is better than a downtown price at that time of night. Once it's packed it''s kind of hard to make your way through the bar to the opposite end, but if your small you shouldn't worry. But aside from that, no complaints. The door staff and servers/bartenders were all very nice and attentive. Great first night there, capped off my late night Dominos made for a good night, minus the heartburn. i'll definitely be back. If there's one thing that Southie has covered, it's local watering holes. However, we occasionally stumble onto a nicer version here and there. Stats being one of them. It's a cross between a sports bar and a cozy local bar. Their menu is a tad more creative than the burger and chicken finger options you can expect just about everywhere. I haven't been knocked off my stool with anything I've ever eaten, but if we're going to eat at a bar this one's not so bad of a choice. They usually have drink specials (that they update on their twitter -- clever), and are a proud carrier of Pumpkin Head during the fall season. Yes, that includes the cinnamon sugar rim, mmmmmm. During the warmer weather they open the windows up to the street, which keeps things nice and open and breezy. The atmosphere is great, lots of young professionals that generally work or live in the area. Overall, I'd say this is a good spot if you're in the mood to grab a few after work or just hang. My only advice: say yes to the buffalo calamari, it's exactly what it sounds like; say no to the edamame burger unless you've just had your wisdom teeth removed. I've never eaten a blander sandwich in my life. Everything about it sounds amazing, but then you get this tasteless textureless thing in a pita... I guess they tried, right? More...
My home away from home. These guys know what we're looking for in a bar...good food, good beer selection, top-notch waitstaff & bartenders, tv's everywhere. No wonder the place is packed every day. Check it out for Sunday Funday, start with brunch and watch how the day progresses. My favorite bar in southie. More...
I came here with my parents and fiance expecting bar fare and was pleasantly surprised.I'd only ever been to Stats as the last bar of random bar crawls, and usually got water. I didn't even know they had a cocktail menu until we sat down and I ordered my usual St Germain drink, which was perfect. We got fried artichokes, which were light and flakey and warm and came with a dipping sauce. For my main dish I got a roasted vegetable panini, which was very, very good. The veggies were in some sort of balsamic reduction and there was enough variety to assure me that this wasn't some half-@$$ sandwich thrown together for the token vegetarian. The fries were epic.My dad ordered fish tacos that had a side of a bean salad. Dad is quite the gourmand, and only had good things to say about this dish.Maybe I just wasn't expecting much, maybe I was starved after moving into a 3rd floor walkup with a narrow staircase that day, but I am definitely re-visiting Stats the next chance I get. If I were just rating the food, I would only give this place three stars. The staff that I have interacted with every time that I have been there bump it up to four stars. They are always friendly and really nice. During the sports seasons, get there early if you want to stake out a spot for you and your friends since this place gets packed on game days. They have a lot of televisions all around the bar, so you won't really have a problem seeing the games you want to see. Many other establishments should learn from this place when it comes to game days. They actually label the televisions the night before so that when you arrive to watch the games, you know exactly which games are going to be shown on each television so you know how to position yourselves when you arrive. Common sense, and you do not have to worry about the table next to you nagging the bartender to change the channel from the game that you are watching. More...
Lots of tvs. Good eats. Open. Good lighting.Buffalo Calamari is a hit!
We moved to South Boston 6 months ago and live a couple blocks away. Every time we've been here, we've had great service and have really liked almost everything we've tried. The Buffalo tenders are awesome--white meat tenders that are a step above the rest, and easily enough for 3 or 4 to share as an appetizer. We've tried at least half of the salads, sandwiches, and entrees, and overall the food is among the best sports bars we've been to. Flatbread pizzas, burgers, and paninis are our favorites. The only disappointments have been the spaghetti and meatballs and the chicken parm sandwich...but even those were average, not bad. It can get crowded on Friday and Saturday nights (you'll wait if you arrive after 8) and the bar area can get crowded, but it seems to draw a more upscale South Boston bar crowd. More...
Ok, so as someone who frequents this spot fairly frequently, I think its about time I write a review. As another reviewer mentioned, the ambience in here is nice - I think they were going for a cleaner/sleeker take on a sports bar - which they pull off quite successfully in my mind. As a bar, you can't beat this place, which provides a nice alternative to the J for us living on the west side. Any night of the week, you can walk by and expect to see it fairly busy between 7-10. On the weekends, the place is usually packed! Some key features for me:- Prompt service (never had to wait very long to order a drink or food)- Lively environment, chock full of tv's showing every game you could ever want to see (don't see your game, the staff will happily change a channel for you)- Monthly drink specials!! (Finally! They had Shipyard Pumpkin in October for $3 a pint and this month they are featuring Long Trail Hibernator)In terms of food, I have never been disappointed. Have tried a number of dishes which were all pretty good. The buffalo calamari and house (prosciutto cheese and grape tomatos) pizza are some stand-outs in my opinion. Have also had the spinach dip, wings, nachos and a couple of their sandys. More...
I love walking to this bar any day of the week to just go and grab a pumpkin beer with cinnamon rim. It reminds me of college again which is probably why I love it. The bar is filled with the Southie yuppie guys (love you guys, no disrespect) and the girls are dressed in plaid shirts, tight jeans an high boots like they didn't try but you know they spent quite some time getting ready (I'm one of them). It's always pretty crowded. A great place to grab a drink with your friends but make sure you snipe a table early so you don't look like "those girls" just standing there waiting for someone to talk to you. Great to watch all Boston sports games. I have eaten there a few times and I was pleasantly surprised. The salads and pizza are amazing as well as their appetizers such as the coconut shrimp and the spinach and artichoke dip. Make reservations if you just want to eat there. Their brunch isn't bad either. I had a horribly spicy bloody mary and I like them spicy but this was just gross. I guess I had a bad batch because my friend said she had a great bloody mary there. Brunch is wicked (yes, I'm from Boston) cheap and you get one drink with it. Great for a Sunday Funday.Worth checking it out but if you hated college don't come because you won't like it and we probably won't like you either. More...
greasy but good flatbread pizza- it has been too busy to go at night, so we went for lunch and liked it.
It's a sports bar/restaurant...Huge bar in the middle of the restaurant, like expected. The food. We ordered a chicken quesadilla and calamari for appetizers. Calamari was okay but the quesadilla was awesome!!! I ate too much of it and couldn't finish my entree.I ordered the Caribbean shrimp on rice pilaf and it came with a surprisingly good asaparagas on the side. The shrimp was a little bit too salty, but mixed in with the pilaf, it was SO GOOD. More...
So we are talking bar food here right? If so, this place gets 5 stars from me. I always put bar food in perspective because its terrible almost everywhere I go. And I really enjoyed my chicken tenders at this place. Definitely not frozen. Light batter, maybe a hint of citrus? Not sure, but either way I was impressed. Even if that description does not sound like your cup of tea I encourage you to try it. Throw in some $3 PBR cans and I'm happy. More...
I'm so excited to have a new neighborhood bar with awesome comfort food! I've lived in Southie for 3 years and the building has been empty until now. I'm glad Stats found its home here, the location is excellent and they are a perfect fit for the neighborhood. The layout is great, with the huge open windows along the front so you don't feel like you're in a dark cave and bar set up is nice as well. My friends and I have gotten take out several times and everything has been delicious, if you're looking for some tasty snacks definately try the chicken tenders, the sliders, the calamari, the spanokopeta, the spinach and artichoke dip, the spinach apple salad, the waldorf chicken salad wrap and my favorite the baked mac & cheese. Extra cheesy deliciousness! Perfect place to catch the game and chill with friends. More...
Stats has quickly become my regular neighborhood hangout. I've been here multiple times for both food and drinks in the few short weeks that it has been open. Most recently I stopped in on Sunday morning for brunch with a friend. We were pleasantly surprised by their brunch special offering a complimentary, Bloody Mary, Mimosa or Screwdriver with your brunch order. I had the breakfast sandwich with home fries which I thought was great, good portion sizes and well prepared. More...
I hope the great meal we enjoyed at Stats isn't the exception.. My companion ordered a some kind of salad. I'm unsure of all the ingredients but it contained fresh greens (no ice burg) goat cheese, walnuts and dressing on the side. It was described as fresh & delicious and it was a good sized serving. I chose one of the daily "Specials". It was vegetable ravioli.. I received a generous sized meal of raviolis perfectly cooked. They were served with garlicky sauteed spinach and a large grilled portobello mushroom. It was very good, very tasty & if Stats can get it together & consistently offer diners good food like this, they'll do fine. This location has been home to several restaurants; all of them failed. I had white sangria, it was very strong. I'll go back, confident (hopeful) that Stats has the kinks all ironed out and if they serve good, fresh, well prepared food; the customers will continue to dine with them. More...
I went to Stats on a Wednesday night and it was entirely full--pretty cool for a place that just opened. The decor was really good--stylish look, and more HD TV's than just about anywhere else. The service, which tends to be not so great in newer places, was actually terrific. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu, and when we asked her for recommendations, she actually took the time to discuss the options with us and share some good recommendations, rather than just trying to answer as quickly as possible to hurry us along on a busy night. The food was really good also--they had a combination of standard pub stuff (nachos, wings, etc., which were all good) as well as some interesting options (fried artichoke hearts). Their pizza was also really tasty. More...
I really like this place. It is super clean, the people are nice and the food is really, really good. At my table, we had a salad (fresh greens, no iceberg, stacked high), a burger, steak tips, and lobster mac and cheese. All were really good. We started with some chicken tenders, which are the signature dish...and they were awesome. It was really busy there, and it took a minute to get a table, but they were nice about it, and the place was filled with good looking people, so it was good people watching. More...
This place just opened and it was packed on Friday night. The space was nice and well laid out, and all hardwood floors. The bar was right in the middle. The music was insanely loud but they had good beats going. The bartenders were very attentive and quick and will run a credit card for just one beer (no min). A ton of tv's, great place to watch a game. This place will definitely stay super busy throughout the summer, but has staying power. A nice addition to Southie. More...
