Great newer restaurant that replaced Papa Vinos in Troy. We had a large party that rented the private room for my grandma's birthday dinner. We had a set menu that had 4 options - burger and fries, steak medallions, chicken picata, or salmon. They serve delicious hot bread at the beginning that reminds me of the leaves at Kruse and Muer. Then we were each served a house salad. The entree portions were very generous. I ordered the salmon and I am a little disheartened to say the flavor just wasn't there for me. Salmon was a little too fishy and the dish desperately needed some salt or seasoning in general. My kids got a chicken tender meal and a kids size chicken tortellini and those portions were also very generous. The breading on those tenders is SO GOOD. Love, love Station Square! We have been there countless times- both in the bar and the dining area. The food is very good and the service has been consistently good. We had my mother's 90th birthday brunch there in July, on the patio outside, and everything was wonderful- they were very accommodating. Good brunch! Excellent maple glazed salmon, fresh made crepes and omelets. a carving station with brisket. Lots of breakfast and lunch offerings, including the Station Stack, which is eggs Benedict on hash browns instead of an English muffin. The cold table has salads and a huge bowl of shrimp. Wow, went there tonight with friends; had a great waiter; he shared some recommendations on menu items and was spot on with what he recommended. I've been to Station Square Kitchen + Bar twice now. The first time, I met a friend and it was Happy Hour. We'd intended to order a couple of appetizers and then dinner, but the appetizers were HUGE and delicious, and we couldn't even finish them. We ordered the beef tenderloin tips, which came on a bed of wonderful mashed potatoes -- a meal in itself! -- and the Station nachos, which were a bit unusual, very crispy and satisfying. We were pleasantly surprised at how good the appetizers were and vowed to come back for an actual meal.The second time, my sister and I came for Sunday brunch. It seemed to be the only choice, but we were not disappointed. It's $18/person, and the choices are very good -- brisket, prime rib, chicken wings, salmon, an omelette station, salads, desserts, eggs, a lovely banana French toast dish, all executed very well. It didn't have the taste of food sitting out a long time or of mass-produced fare; everything was fresh and nicely prepared. I did find that the iced tea is pricey. I really can't understand why restaurants charge so much to put a tea bag in water. But that's really my only complaint. More...

I was impressed with the great service from our welcoming hostess Delaney and our attentive and friendly waiter Paul. Both have excellent customer service skills and will keep us going back as repeat customers. The menu is diverse enough with something for everyone including kids. This is the fifth time that we have visited Station Square. We have NEVER been disappointed. Today for Father's Day I made a reservation for 10 with Delaney (which had to be adjusted 2-3 times). Her politeness and courteousness were exemplary. We arrived at 4PM and were seated immediately. The service provided by Ethan was impeccable and no one complained about the food which was excellent and served in a timely manner. The restaurant was completely filled but you could hear the person across the table when they spoke. We had an awesome time celebrating a graduation dinner here! Ethan, our server, was very attentive and checked in on us frequently and at just the right intervals. The food here was pretty good! Highlights include the seafood pasta, which was delicious, as well as the grilled salmon and scallops, both of which we really enjoyed. Nice scene at this restaurant bar . First time here and my friend and I enjoyed the happy hour . We ordered 3 appetizers. The beef tips with mushrooms and a tasty gravy over mashed potatoes was great . The next app was Parmesan schrimp and they were excellent . Our last app was peppers with goat cheese glazed with balsamic oil . The peppers were a little too hot and we probably won't order them again . But if you like them hot go for them . My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by this place. We decided to stop by here for lunch and they happened to have a buffet set up for Mother's Day weekend for $13. 99 a person. The staff was friendly, the buffet was clean and organized with a huge selection of food. Additionally? Lots of options on the menu both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. The craft cocktails were good, I had the Mule and the Violette. The calamari was in strip form (like Big Rock Chophouse) and it was good quality with flavorful dipping sauces. First time visit here. Apparently it has been open since June 2018 (formerly used to be a Papa Vinos I am told). Plenty of space, very broad interior, plenty of parking outside. They seem to have plenty of daily specials, and since it was Monday - I opted for the $7 (each) salad for two (all you need to to do is by 2 beverages). I tried the Station Garden, which consisted of: Arugula, frisee, fennel, tomato, blue cheese, avocado, roasted pistachio, lemon & extra virgin olive oil. I liked it a lot. My friend tried the Kale salad which consisted of of course kale, crispy pita, feta, red onion, corn, cucumber, tomato, fresh-herb vinaigrette. I liked that they have plenty of options for vegetarians. As for the meat lovers, they do have burger specials on Mondays too! Applies to a choice of House Prime, Station Chop House, Inferno (wow), Southwest Ranch and Veggie burgers. Maybe next time I will try that. Our service person was Ray and he was very attentive. They brought out fresh bread and soft butter, which I liked. The regular menu seems to have something a little different from the mainstream food offerings, each entree has a little change or twist to it. I shall certainly be back to check them out again! I recall they have an Easter brunch special posted at the door, do not recall the details. Another useful tip is 25% off all carry out Monday thru Friday. I have visited twice, my first visit was at the bar. The bartender was knowledgeable, polite and quick. He has bartended in Vegas and his cocktail knowledge shows, try his Basil whiskey Smash. My second visit was in the dinning hall with a group if 5. Everything was lovely.My guests enjoyed themselves and i signed up for their rewards.So why not 5 stars? Found this restaurant scrolling through OpenTable. Always looking for good places with a varied menu as everyone seems to have different tastes. This place is run by one of the ex-chefs from Kruse and Muer and managed by Kelly who used to work at Andiamo. Stated off with the amazing bread which I guessed came from Kruse and Muer. Amazing!! The lake perch was excellent with a winter squash medley and some tasty rice. Didn't get drinks, but Happy Hour is currently 3pm-6pm Mon-Fri. 1/2 off about 8 different salads on Mondays. It's a great spot for Sunday Brunch--with free face painting! We have been a handful of times and their gluten free offerings (that ive tried) have all been really good! The hostesses that weve encountered seem to need to work on their communication. We were once sat at a table that was meant for another group, and another time we waited for about 5 minutes before anyone even walked by, then got attitude when we didnt want to sit at the bar.
