Great newer restaurant that replaced Papa Vinos in Troy. We had a large party that rented the private room for my grandma's birthday dinner. We had a set menu that had 4 options - burger and fries, steak medallions, chicken picata, or salmon. They serve delicious hot bread at the beginning that reminds me of the leaves at Kruse and Muer. Then we were each served a house salad. The entree portions were very generous. I ordered the salmon and I am a little disheartened to say the flavor just wasn't there for me. Salmon was a little too fishy and the dish desperately needed some salt or seasoning in general. My kids got a chicken tender meal and a kids size chicken tortellini and those portions were also very generous. The breading on those tenders is SO GOOD. The highlight for me here was the service though. Our 2 servers were so kind and really did their best to accommodate our large party. More...
Love, love Station Square! We have been there countless times- both in the bar and the dining area. The food is very good and the service has been consistently good. We had my mother's 90th birthday brunch there in July, on the patio outside, and everything was wonderful- they were very accommodating. I highly recommend Station Square for lunch, dinner, happy hour, buffet, anytime, it is wonderful! Oh and try the Station Square salad with chicken, it is a wonderful mix of flavors. More...
Came here for the Sunday brunch. Wide variety of food and all of the portions are small enough that you feel like you can try everything. Coffee is delicious as well. Very attentive service and the price is right as well. Highly recommended. More...
Really great happy hour and specials. Tonight is wagyu steak night for $8! Always well prepared, decent beer selection, and the toffee crunch is phenomenal... one of our "go to" places in RO!
Good brunch! Excellent maple glazed salmon, fresh made crepes and omelets. a carving station with brisket. Lots of breakfast and lunch offerings, including the Station Stack, which is eggs Benedict on hash browns instead of an English muffin. The cold table has salads and a huge bowl of shrimp. They also have a full bar if you are so inclined. More...
Can't beat the Prime Rib Special for Taste, sides for the price.
Wow, went there tonight with friends; had a great waiter; he shared some recommendations on menu items and was spot on with what he recommended. Had lamb chops and swapped out the sides for asparagus and and fries. The drinks were awesome, great pours. Went with three others and everyone enjoyed their meals. Can't wait to go back again. Great food and great service!!!
I've been to Station Square Kitchen + Bar twice now. The first time, I met a friend and it was Happy Hour. We'd intended to order a couple of appetizers and then dinner, but the appetizers were HUGE and delicious, and we couldn't even finish them. We ordered the beef tenderloin tips, which came on a bed of wonderful mashed potatoes -- a meal in itself! -- and the Station nachos, which were a bit unusual, very crispy and satisfying. We were pleasantly surprised at how good the appetizers were and vowed to come back for an actual meal. The second time, my sister and I came for Sunday brunch. It seemed to be the only choice, but we were not disappointed. It's $18/person, and the choices are very good -- brisket, prime rib, chicken wings, salmon, an omelette station, salads, desserts, eggs, a lovely banana French toast dish, all executed very well. It didn't have the taste of food sitting out a long time or of mass-produced fare; everything was fresh and nicely prepared. I did find that the iced tea is pricey. I really can't understand why restaurants charge so much to put a tea bag in water. But that's really my only complaint. More...
The service is wonderful and the food is even better! I met a friend there for lunch and was impressed at the high quality food for the price of $8! I've been back several times and have not been disappointed. Their Sunday brunch buffet is really good and my boys really enjoy it every time! More...
Food is always delicious and well prepared.
I was impressed with the great service from our welcoming hostess Delaney and our attentive and friendly waiter Paul. Both have excellent customer service skills and will keep us going back as repeat customers. The menu is diverse enough with something for everyone including kids. The traverse city cherry bbq salmon was amazing. The strawberry waffle dessert is a must have. The atmosphere is very clean and modern. There is outdoor seating as well. More...
Amanda Koczara was such a good hostess. Very kind and looked like a hard worker. I never saw her just standing there, she was always doing something. The only thing is that there should be more games on the kids menu. More...

Awesome service, food and vibe! Fun staff! Will definitely be back! Amazing brunch, lunch and cocktail hour.
Great overall experience from the service to the food. Highly recommend this establishment.
I really enjoyed this place. From the ambiance to the food, it was all great. I ordered the beef rib tips, they were cooked to perfection. My date ordered the steak medallions, also amazing. Not to mention the bread was fresh and hot served. Would definitely come back and refer this place More...

I’d recommend beer or wine (cocktail was so/so), the food was excellent. Presented well and cooked perfectly!
This is the fifth time that we have visited Station Square. We have NEVER been disappointed. Today for Father's Day I made a reservation for 10 with Delaney (which had to be adjusted 2-3 times). Her politeness and courteousness were exemplary. We arrived at 4PM and were seated immediately. The service provided by Ethan was impeccable and no one complained about the food which was excellent and served in a timely manner. The restaurant was completely filled but you could hear the person across the table when they spoke. I called the owner after we arrived home to compliment him on his staff and the ambience.Alan BriscoeLake Orion More...
We had an awesome time celebrating a graduation dinner here! Ethan, our server, was very attentive and checked in on us frequently and at just the right intervals. The food here was pretty good! Highlights include the seafood pasta, which was delicious, as well as the grilled salmon and scallops, both of which we really enjoyed. The Margherita pizza was a great starter as well as the complimentary bread they provided for our table. The burger I got was just a tad bit dry, but overall the portion sizes were very generous here. More...

Great music and food on a Friday Night!
First time visit, very satisfied with all elements. The mushroom bisque, avocado toast, calamari and cream puff were all very good.
Nice scene at this restaurant bar . First time here and my friend and I enjoyed the happy hour . We ordered 3 appetizers. The beef tips with mushrooms and a tasty gravy over mashed potatoes was great . The next app was Parmesan schrimp and they were excellent . Our last app was peppers with goat cheese glazed with balsamic oil . The peppers were a little too hot and we probably won't order them again . But if you like them hot go for them . One draw back ; it took a long time to get our food . My drink was strong but my friend didn't care for her second glass of wine . All in I still like this place and we will give it another chance . Great wait staff and food
My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by this place. We decided to stop by here for lunch and they happened to have a buffet set up for Mother's Day weekend for $13. 99 a person. The staff was friendly, the buffet was clean and organized with a huge selection of food. Additionally? Lots of options on the menu both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. The food also was good and flavourful. We liked how they were constantly changing and cleaning to make sure things were fresh. I would definitely go back! Cream Puffs for the win!! Avocado toast was delicious too. More...

Great food! Great service! Great atmosphere!
Enjoyed a great dinner there tonight with Friends. All 3 meals were delicious. We had the Traverse City Salmon, the Seafood Pappardelle and the Chicken Piccata. The food was beautifully plated and very good; our waiter Ethan was delightful and the restaurant is very well prepared to have children too. All around a perfect evening. Oh and the sticky toffee cake is scrumptious. More...
The craft cocktails were good, I had the Mule and the Violette. The calamari was in strip form (like Big Rock Chophouse) and it was good quality with flavorful dipping sauces. I had the Chicken Madeira for my entree and it was delicious and was a huge portion that I also enjoyed eating the next day. My fiance had the seafood pasta and really enjoyed it as well. I would come back here! More...
First time visit here. Apparently it has been open since June 2018 (formerly used to be a Papa Vinos I am told). Plenty of space, very broad interior, plenty of parking outside. They seem to have plenty of daily specials, and since it was Monday - I opted for the $7 (each) salad for two (all you need to to do is by 2 beverages). I tried the Station Garden, which consisted of: Arugula, frisee, fennel, tomato, blue cheese, avocado, roasted pistachio, lemon & extra virgin olive oil. I liked it a lot. My friend tried the Kale salad which consisted of of course kale, crispy pita, feta, red onion, corn, cucumber, tomato, fresh-herb vinaigrette. I liked that they have plenty of options for vegetarians. As for the meat lovers, they do have burger specials on Mondays too! Applies to a choice of House Prime, Station Chop House, Inferno (wow), Southwest Ranch and Veggie burgers. Maybe next time I will try that. Our service person was Ray and he was very attentive. They brought out fresh bread and soft butter, which I liked. The regular menu seems to have something a little different from the mainstream food offerings, each entree has a little change or twist to it. I shall certainly be back to check them out again! I recall they have an Easter brunch special posted at the door, do not recall the details. Another useful tip is 25% off all carry out Monday thru Friday. And for the happy hour folks - again Monday thru Friday 3 to 6 pm. (applies to premium cocktails and appetizers, have to try it next time I visit). More...
I have visited twice, my first visit was at the bar. The bartender was knowledgeable, polite and quick. He has bartended in Vegas and his cocktail knowledge shows, try his Basil whiskey Smash. My second visit was in the dinning hall with a group if 5. Everything was lovely. My guests enjoyed themselves and i signed up for their rewards. So why not 5 stars? The pepper appetizer not appetizing haha. And i love peppers, it had no heat to it not sure why they use that kind of pepper. Now go and try the place for yourself. More...

Sunday Brunch was superb!
First time tonight Food was great - server was great Love the Brussel sprouts
Found this restaurant scrolling through OpenTable. Always looking for good places with a varied menu as everyone seems to have different tastes. This place is run by one of the ex-chefs from Kruse and Muer and managed by Kelly who used to work at Andiamo. Stated off with the amazing bread which I guessed came from Kruse and Muer. Amazing!! The lake perch was excellent with a winter squash medley and some tasty rice. Didn't get drinks, but Happy Hour is currently 3pm-6pm Mon-Fri. 1/2 off about 8 different salads on Mondays. Brunch buffet on Saturday and Sunday. Check it out! More...
Went here last night with my wife and another couple. Max "the bartender" waited on us. Great personality! He can definitely make some amazing drinks. It's a great spot for Sunday Brunch--with free face painting! We have been a handful of times and their gluten free offerings (that ive tried) have all been really good! The hostesses that weve encountered seem to need to work on their communication. We were once sat at a table that was meant for another group, and another time we waited for about 5 minutes before anyone even walked by, then got attitude when we didnt want to sit at the bar. The servers have all been very pleasant and the bartenders are great!!! More...

Service was great, every one at the table got salads but me and they all loved them...I got the chicken ciabatta and it wasn't very good. I have visited Station Square twice now for lunch with co-workers. Extremely pleased with both of the "8 for $8" menu items chosen so far. On the first visit I selected the Parmesan Crusted Chicken, and was blown away by the flavor and generous portion size. The vegetables were very fresh and cooked perfectly (not overdone as in so many restaurants). The bread is a very close knock-off of Kruse and Muer bread - so addictive! (I was told that their chef came over from those restaurants, but I cannot confirm this.)Our male server (sorry, can't remember his name) was outstanding - friendly without being fake, and very attentive. On the second visit, I tried the lunch portion Beef Tenderloin, and was again very impressed with the flavor, quality, portion size and overall execution. Our female server on this visit was a little less friendly and attentive at first, but she warmed up after our drink orders. Overall, I'm extremely impressed thus far, will definitely be back, and would highly recommend this place. Keep up the great work, Station Square! More...
I've eaten here several times and always been happy. The menu is large and diverse, there's really something for everyone here. The house bread is so good and I love the beef tips appetizer; I often get it for my meal. The burrata caprese app is also good. I love a good salad and the grilled salmon and grilled chicken salads didn't disappoint. The only thing I've tried that I wouldn't order again was the veggie burger. The service is always good and we've never had to wait long for anything. They also have a good kids menu. More...
The best customer service experience our family has had in a restaurant setting in years. Our server, Jeremy did a phenomenal job managing our very large group, as well as, our two small children, one with food allergy restrictions. Very impressive. Also, at one point the owner had a staff member bring over her children's toy cars to help entertain our boys as we packed up to head home after a very long day. Oh...and the food was amazing. We will be back! More...

Wonderful dining experience, stylish ambiance, and a welcoming staff.
I came in on a busy Thursday night to eat dinner with my dad. My dad went only a week after opening and had a very mediocre experience here- but was willing to give it another try. We were both glad we did. Our server was Georgia, she was so friendly, treated us like family. She gave honest recommendations, which led to us trying the calamari. Now, I love calamari and have had it at various places and I can tell you this sways from traditional in that it has fried hot pepper rings in it as well. I LOVED the extra zestyness and the sauce served with it was very tasty. For entrees I ordered steak and my dad ordered a burger. We both really enjoyed it. The steak was a very generous portion and a great cut of meat. One of my pet peeves with steak is that it is often not allowed a rest time in lower rung steak houses. This one was, which made a huge difference in tenderness. The service was great, and I should mention our waitress was extremely busy. She never stopped moving, yet we always had water refills, condiments, and didn't have to wait for the bill. Over all a great experience. I would just recommend honing in on menu items and cocktails to make every meal just as fantastic as the one I had. More...
Brought my siblings and cousin here for dinner last night and it was our first time checking this place out. We didn't have reservations but the wait was only 15 minutes so it wasn't bad at all. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip as an appetizer. We all weren't too crazy about it. It and a weird consistency and we all agreed that we have had better. They do give complimentary bread and that was really good and fresh out of the oven. For dinner, I ordered the inferno burger. All burgers come with chips but you can substitute fries for $2 more. The burger was actually really good. I hadn't had a good burger in a very long time. My only issue was having to pay extra for fries that werent anything special. Finally dessert, we ordered the raspberry chocolate dessert and the sticky toffee one too. Wow. We literally inhaled the desserts they were soooo good!! I could have eaten one whole dessert on my own. Service was pretty good too and overall ambiance was great. Overall, I would def come back. I'm giving 4 stars because of the spinach dip and the extra charge for no reason. More...
Pleasantly surprised! Good food great service. Nice upscale restaurant with plenty of options for adults and children. Would definitely return.
Very nice atmosphere and open space layout. There is something for any taste. Went there twice for lunch. My wife and I had the wedge salad and it were fantastic. Appetizers are also great.
I was really sad to hear Papa Vino's closed down but was also excited to try out the new restaurant that took over the building. I had won a giftcard for this restaurant so I decided to give it a try. My boyfriend and I ate here Friday night and it was super packed; we only had to wait for about 10 minutes for a table though. The restaurant was spacious and clean and our server was extremely friendly. We also really enjoyed our food- so I'm surprised to not find a higher rating here on yelp. We ordered the lamb chops and the fish and chips. Everything came out in a timely manner and served hot. The bread was also very refreshing and yummy. We plan on coming back to try some of the other items on the menu! More...

Over all, pretty well done. Was a little annoyed that our hostess wouldn't see if she could get a booth for us when clearly there were plenty empty. But that was a small thing. Our waiter was great, very knowledgable. The appetizers were amazing. The bread was great. It was kind of funny that the bread came out with 2 small little wrapped pads of butter, but really not a big deal. The dinner itself was pretty good, though my rice was barely cooked. When my husband took up bite of it we both agreed that it tasted almost completely uncooked. We felt the place was somewhere between upscale and family friendly. They are pretty new still but I think they are on their way to be something awesome. More...

Located on a sub lot of a large strip mall. Inside is a stark modern looking pub with a barroom area to one side. My sister and I went here for a late dinner. I had the short ribs and she had the salmon. My potatoes was ok. Nothing special about them. My asparagus was cooked great and the short ribs were so tender and juicy that I didn't need the accompanied knife they gave me with the plate. Goodbye Papa Vino's and a warm welcome to Station Square Kitchen and Bar! I love it! My mom loved it too, although she misses her Papa Vino's coupons. I brought her here for lunch. I love the new look. It's more contemporary and less ordinary looking with dark wood tables. We both had the fish tacos ($11). It's a good price for two tacos stuffed with a huge piece of fried cod and a side of tasty rice. I was completely sated. We had a side of homemade potato chips which would have been bumped up a notch if they were served with a dollop of a sour cream and onion type dip. I thought they were a tad over cooked. My mom liked them though. When I return in December I will come back for happy hour in the bar area where their fish tacos are just $3 a piece. That's a bargain considering they are the same full-sized tacos from the regular menu. They have a great beer menu as well. I know this place will have great success. I look forward to my next visit. Five coworkers and I went here today for Troy Restaurant Week - I always organize a lunch for coworkers and I during TRW, and this year we chose this place because it's new. It's located where the old Papa Vino's used to be, but they've done a major renovation, and it looks very nice. The TRW menu was $15 for 3 courses, which was a great deal. I started off with the garden salad, and the dressing was very tasty. They also give you some small baguettes of bread, which were very good too. For my main course, I had the beef tenderloin tips with mushrooms, which came topped with crispy onions and mashed potatoes on the side, and for my dessert, I had the cream puff with Moose Tracks ice cream. All of the food was delicious. One of my coworkers noticed she only had 2 or 3 small pieces of tenderloin tips, whereas the rest of us had 6+, and she casually mentioned it to our dining group; the waiter must have told the manager, because a few minutes later she came over to inquire about it. Later they brought my coworker friend a plate with more beef on it - excellent customer service.Station Square gets a 4 rather than a 5 from me because waitservice was very slow at the beginning - I waited about 10 minutes for a water refill, which is a pet peeve of mine - and a little inconsistent. After the salads/soup were served, though, the pace picked up, and we actually had a few servers bringing us food and water refills.I would definitely come here again, their sandwiches and pizzas are reasonably priced and they also have larger entrees. I saw on their Instagram page that they have a $5 spinach dip during happy hour, too, as well as $5 drinks. Overall the food was very tasty and I liked the new interior of the restaurant, too. The food was good. Will go there again.
Came here on a Saturday night. The restaurant is very nice inside but it seems to be missing a little something. The bread they give you is delicious. We ordered the feta spinach artichoke dip which was good but it came with some hard pieces of bread which didn't go well. Would have been better with chips or pita bread. Then I got the tortellini, which was fine but not the best. My husband got the short ribs which were pretty good. Both meals were served a bit cold. More...
The food is exceptional. Excellent service. The bar is well stocked and the drinks are creative and good! The appetizers are amazing. The burnt tips could be a meal, comes on a bed of delicious mashed potatoes and covered in crispy onions. Their home made bread is served hot. I can't say anything bad. This place is our new Go To. We love it. Oh and the NY strip is HUGE! Enjoy! More...
Loved our waitress Kiera! The appetizer was ok ( artichoke dip) not cheesy enough. Dinner was good, my husband had fish tacos, I the southwest burger.
First visit to Station Kitchen + Bar, it looked like a new place so I was excited to try. I was torn between the crab cakes, the chicken Florentine and the Seafood Pappardelle so I ordered the Seafood Pappardelle after a short conversation with our server Ethan who said that was his favorite dish. I was not disappointed, it was absolutely delicious. There were ample portions of shrimp, scallops and crab meat and the sauce was outstanding. I will be returning to try one of the other two. I picked on my friends food and the burger was great. The truffle Parmesan fires was heaven! The Alaskan Codd fish and chips was crispy and flaky. Cooked just right! 5 stars overall for Station Square kitchen! Service was great! Can't wait to go back and try other items More...
It's always a treat to try a new restaurant. We started with the pork belly tostadas. My first reaction was, "These would taste better if they weren't on store bought chips. " Next, gazpacho in lieu of a salad. It was a bit thick which was fine...the heavy salt content could have been adjusted. For a main dish, I had the baby back ribs. Our waiter assured me they were fall of the bone and one of their best menu items. He was right! They were a bit meatier than the baby back ribs I'm used to but there is nothing wrong with that. They could have had a bit more sauce but extra sauce was provided. Awesome. The side items included a cheddar potato hash. This was a disappointment. It tasted dry as if it was placed under a broiler to warm up and was desiccated in the process. I didn't finish it. Other sides included a small piece of garlic toast and mixed vegetables. They were fine. I'd recommend trying this place. Hopefully they will work on any short comings and continue to do what they are good at. More...
Delish, everything we had was on point and fresh and fast, loved all. We have been there twice and will keep going back
Enjoyed a great lunch with my mom and daughter this afternoon after a trip to Target. Service was great, food was great, and it's kid friendly.
It was very busy but good. We sat at the bar and we had only 15 minute wait . So we just sat and ate at the bar. The only thing is the bar could be bigger and longer. But we would go back. The service was good . We went back second time very good and Max was are bartender very nice and very good service. The owner came by and introduced him self and ask if everything ok and good. We go back again. The fish tacos good and the Southwest burger good and there truffle fries excellent. More...
Having dinner at Station Square in Troy with my sister Julie and sister Nancy. The food was excellent and John the manager was very friendly and hospitable. I would highly recommend this restaurant! They also have a happy hour every day from 2 to 6 PM Monday through Friday enjoy everybody! More...
After three times here, it's safe to say it does not disappoint. Everything is cooked to perfection and the menu appeases a wide variety of tastes. Great drink options as well. Service is a little slow, but overall a nice experience for a relatively new restaurant. More...
Two of us had the Seafood Pappardelie and loved it. One had broiled whitefish and liked it and said the rice was tasty. The bread was very good. The server was great and the manager came to our table twice to see how everything was. We will be back. More...
Great service, white fish cooked perfect!
NY Strip was delicious! Staff was very friendly, manager came over to introduce himself and ask how our food was, and they have M43! Definitely will be back!
FanTASTIC! First-timers tonight, food and drinks were delicious and the service was top-notch. Will definitely be back.
The atmosphere is really nice and I enjoyed the outdoor seating area. I went on a Saturday evening around 7pm and was seated right away. The complimentary bread is very tasty. I had the seafood pappardelle but had them change the sauce to marinara. It was delicious! The seafood was fresh and plentiful. The service was good and quick. I can't wait to return and try something new! More...
Started off with the best welcome from the hostess! Then the inferno burger......yum.

Very clean, great food and our waiter was great!! We will be back again!!
We went with 2 other couples for dinner. We did not have to wait to be seated. I had the Chicken Florentine and my wife had whitefish. We enjoyed it. The waitress asked us for desert before we were done eating. Also she gave us our checks before we were done eating. Otherwise it was a positive dining experience and we will be back. More...
My friends and I have visited Station Square both for lunch and dinner. We were at the restaurant the first night it opened. At that time it was total chaos. Every time since it has continued to improve. The waitstaff is outstanding. Ask for Michael, Miss Kitty or Brad. You will feel like the most important customer in the place. Appitizers that are worth trying include calamari or beef tips. I am trying a new one each time I go. Hamburgers are done perfectly to taste. I love seafood and the salmon either planked or on a salad are excellent and cooked to perfection. Lamb chops are also winners. This is a new restaurant and is improving each time I go. You can be formal or in summer shorts and will feel welcome. They also have an outstanding wine selection. Prices are on the high moderate side. One last thing - you have to try the deserts. Carrot cake to die for. More...
As good as it gets. Food was delicious and plenty to choose from the menu. Wait staff was attentive. I like the renovation, the bar seems to have a great happy hour and the place is very clean. Hope to go back. I had the flatbread w/burrata and my husband had the seafood pasta. More...

Great salad, steak tips, scallops, and yummy chicken strips! Drinks are great, beautiful decor and vibe. Lovely outdoor area.
This is such a convenient spot for a restaurant, so we were excited to see someone take over the old Papa Vino's location. The inside of the restaurant felt familiar from Papa Vino's, but it's a simpler and cleaner design now. It was a nice night, so we opted to sit outside on the patio. Despite the fact that you're basically sitting in the parking lot of Target, the patio is actually quite nice and there is strategically placed landscaping to mask the reality of where you are.We were greeted by our super friendly and perky server, Sophia. She was very attentive and, when asked, had a good knowledge of the menu and some recommendations. The menu covered a wide range of territory with a lot of good choices. We decided to start with the beef tenderloin tips. They were quite good and the Cabarnet sauce was excellent. For my entree, I chose the Gulf Shrimp Linguine. The description stated "spinach, goat cheese, toasted pine nuts, a sun dried tomato pesto" - I love everything in that phrase...and it was delicious! My wife had the tortellini and she really liked hers too.The rest of the family wants to give it a try and there is a lot more to explore on the menu, so we will definitely be back! More...
We were greeted with a friendly welcome and shown to a table right away. Our waiter was attentive, happy and professional. The food was excellent. My husband had a seafood pasta and said he would definitely recommend it and definitely order it again. I had a white cheese sauce chicken nachos and I too would order it again. Both dishes were amazing though very rich and a bit heavy. This is a restaurant I plan on visiting again. More...
When you first walk in this place looks very nice and comfy. It has two feelings where when you walk in it seems fancier but then when you move towards the sides where there is the booths it seems more relaxed. The give you this bread: which I didn't have because of my allergy but my family I went with said it was amazing! Along with their cold butter! We ordered a burger, scallops, and the ribs. The burger was just okay. Just a basic burger Scallops were decent as well a little too lemony for my taste but my family enjoyed it The best part were these ribs. The meat would fall off the bone and they didn't have too much dressing on them but they did give you a side of sauce if you wanted more. The prices for this place were pretty high and for the amount of food it didn't seem balanced at all. The only reason why I would return would be for the ribs. More...
Very nice dining atmosphere. Good selection of drinks, and variety of food. Reasonable prices.
This is closer to a 4.5 star review rather then a straight 4 star review. I came here for dinner with a friend last night as we like to try new places. From the amount of cars in the parking lot, I thought there would be a wait but this was not the case. I got seated right away. The menu has a wide variety of food choices from small plates, to salads, main dishes, pasta, burger and pizza. The prices are about mid range with the small plates running around $10 to lamp chops at $27. Their menus is fairly straightforward and lists all options that are gluten free. Which is just amazing being a gluten free diner and not having to guess or to ask for another menu. I started with their chill gazpacho. Which was really nice but definitely had a kick to it. So if you are not prepared it will get you. My friend enjoyed the bread which reminded both of us of the Papa Vinos bread (i.e.the restaurant that was in this site previously). I then had the pork belly tostadas and parmesan and truffle fries. This was just the right amount of food. The pork belly tostadas came out on a plate and were easily a one bite type of food. The truffle and parmesan fries were good but there was not a lot of truffles on them.I will probably be back because there are other items to try. The reason for my decrease is the fact that there was no gluten free dessert options. Had there been one this would have been a perfect place to come over and over again. The wait staff were attentive and our water stayed full. More...
I walked in to the restaurant with a few girlfriends and was greeted with a warm smile from the friendly hostess. We were seated promptly, with no wait despite the place being quite full. Our server was young, but was very knowledgeable and kind. She recommended the chicken strips and avocado toast. We ordered both along with the calamari. The chicken strips were crunchy, yet tender. The avocado toast- one of the best I have ever had and the calamari was fresh and had the right consistency. I ordered the fried cod tacos for my entree (which came out after about 7 minutes) and WOW! I want to know the sauce they put on that. The breading was perfect, proportionate amount of slaw and filled just right. I also ordered 2 vodka cranberry and they were mixed perfectly. My friends ordered the lamb chops (cooked to perfection), the scallops that looked amazing and the linguine which also looked delicious. Really glad to have a place in this area that is warm, approachable and high quality. We really had a great experience which is usually hit or miss with brand new places in their first stages. Very well done. Can't wait to be back! More...
If you think of Station as a food court restaurant of this strip mall, it isn't all that bad. It is definitely a step up from Papa Vino's, but it's in the same class of restaurant. The best thing we ordered was the veggie burger, apparently made from scratch in house. It was good. Prices were on the low to medium, kind of like Kohl's nearby.Service is an area needing improvement. There was a bit of a wait for the hostess, and then our server seemed like he was out to lunch. Also one of the people who came by to help reeked of cigarette smoke - you don't find that in nice restaurants these days, even nice food court restaurants. More...
New spot close to Troy/ Bham .. Vegan friendly items include: avocado toast, modified salads, meat/cheese less pizzas, plain fries, side salad, and the bread served at the table. Plenty of choices to bring my Omni parents and all can find something to eat . Drinks are a great pour and they have a good tap list. Friendly staff and good prices/ portion size for the area. Visited here for dinner on a Tuesday evening, it was not busy. Host was not present when I arrived. I had to wait a couple of minutes before anyone came to the front. We were eventually seated. Server was nice and offered suggestions. I ordered the salmon salad. It was very good. Salmon was cooked perfectly and was fresh. I really enjoyed the food. More...
Friendly staff , spacious and fresh establishment . I ordered a veggie burger (I crossed to the green side earlier this year). It was very good and well seasoned , portions were a good size , but the sticky toffee pudding and carrot cake were amazing . I am Brit so I have had few puddings over the years , I was impressed and definitely will be making a visit back soon. The manager came over and checked in on us too , which they do a lot this side of the pond , I appreciated the gesture. Finally a reason to dine in Troy. Fish tacos rock.. pasta was awesome .Plus a good pour .
Fantastic! Our first time there tonight and the food, atmosphere, and service were wonderful. M-43 on draft, and our shrimp linguine and burger were delicious. The owner stopped by to chat with us and make sure we were happy. So excited for this new restaurant near us, and we will be back. More...
We went for an appetizer and drinks. Great place. Great food. The Fish Tacos were amazing! Shane, the bartender was wonderful! We will definitely return!
Very good...enjoyed my club sandwich
This place just opened in Troy. They have a good menu with healthy options which is what I look for in a restaurant. I ordered the lemon chicken with double veggies instead of rice. The flavors were great! My kids got a pizza and they loved how thin and crispy the crust was. I'm glad they opened so close to me. I'll definitely be back! More...
Now I'm a food officianado, and I've eaten at numerous restaurants throughout my life span and I'd like to make something very very clear, I take my restaurant experience very seriously, I'm a man who loves to eat. When I first heard about Station Square kitchen and bar It was to my knowledge that it was a brand new restaurant and me being one that has tried everything I decided to give this place a whirl. When I first stepped foot I noticed a pristine ambiance with enthusiastic and genuine staff as I was greeted by the friendly desk staff. As I sat on my table I noticed how on par their attention to detail was in cleanliness, and as you know when eating in a clean environment you can expect the same sort or cleanliness in all other aspects as well. As I met my server Blake who was totally AWESOME and treated me as a family member rather then a customer, I ordered a nice beer (super large selection of beer by the way) and they brought complimentary bread that is delicious and enough to feed a village by the way! As I finished my bread and beer I decided to order their beef tenderloins to start out with, 15-20 minutes go by and my food arrived much quicker than expected, I dug into my first bite being completely woo'd by the aroma of the dish and fell into a deep trance of all the flavors simultaneously invigorating all of my taste buds at once. And the tenderloins couldn't have been any more perfect. Towards the end of my experience I sat chit chatting with my server about different things and was getting a good laugh out of his sense of humor. Now I've never given a 5* review anywhere before but this place is the absolute exception. From their pristine ambience to their sublime meals and service from the wonderful staff this was truly a remarkable experience for me and I will definitely be visiting this place again. More...
Love this place!!!
This restaurant just opened on Monday, June 18th so a friend suggested a new venue for dinner Saturday night, and thought we would try it as an alternative to some of the usual places in Birmingham. Nicely redecorated reminds me of the Sedona on Big Beaver in Troy. As expected, they were busy on an early Saturday evening and we arrived without reservation or wait list. A very attractive hostess seated us immediately at one the the high top tables in the bar area. The thing I liked about the restaurant was the physical separation of the main dining room from a generous bar seating area. Lots of high tops for dinner, a large room and the noise level was acceptable. I believe they are also working on some outdoor seating, as well. We were greeted by an enthusiastic, bubbly server, "Sophie", who did a good job taking our order and accommodating our requests throughout the meal. We both had generous salads with some delicious salmon. Toward the end of our meal, the manager, John, came over, introduced himself and we talked a while about the restaurant. He wanted to make sure we had a pleasant dining experience and we appreciated the visit. Great venue, reasonably priced, good location. I think this establishment will give some of the other restaurants in the Troy/Birmingham area some great competition! More...
This place has done an amazing remodel. Absolutely beautiful. Pretty much can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Waitstaff is great and the Maryland Crab Cakes were blessed by sweet baby jesus himself. I am excited to keep coming in.
I just went here for the first time with friends and I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the food so much. The spicy Mediterranean pasta was some of the best I've had and the staff were so friendly. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for somewhere new to eat! More...
The service and food were awesome. Our server, Michael, was great. The general manager, Suela, was awesome too. The fresh start cocktail, the spinach dip, and the hot fudge cream puff dessert were phenomenal. Everything I tried was great! We'll be back!! More...
This was our second visit to Station Square! We were lucky enough to be at the friends and family night which was absolutely wonderful! The interior of the restaurant is gorgeous! They did a fantastic job! The outdoor patio is also a very nice feature for us because we love being outside. We went with a group of 6 and decided to get a bunch of different things to share. Started off with the Kale and goat cheese pizza, avocado toast, Parmesan gulf shrimp and corn chowder soup. The pizza was fantastic and the balsamic on the avocado toast was so great I wanted to know what kind they used! I love soup so I very much enjoyed the chowder and the shrimp were so good! We also ordered the midwest pizza, station nachos, calamari, chicken tenders and the station chop house burger! I did not try any of those but everyone said they were great! Our grill masters at the table said the burger was excellent and they are definitely picky when it comes to burgers! And of course we had to order dessert so we tried the carrot cake and the cream puff and both were great! I'm no carrot cake fan but it was absolutely delicious! I couldn't stop eating it even though I was about to explode! Drinks were delish and the service was great considering how busy they were! The manager stopped by our table multiple times to make sure we were happy. Thanks for the wonderful night out! More...
What a pleasant surprise to find such a fabulous replacement to the old Papa Vinos on Coolidge in Troy. A late lunch on Saturday afternoon proved just the respite we needed after a hectic day. The delicious gazpacho came served in a cute bar glass, and the Elderflower Spritz with Prosecco & blueberries delighted my daughter. I had the generously served Warm Kale Salad with braised Brussel sprouts, shaved almonds, dried cherries and vinaigrette. Service was great and the manager even stopped by to check on our food.Desserts are a treat. We splurged on the homemade carrot cake and the "Sticky Toffee Pudding," yum! The interior has been updated nicely -including the restrooms. Be sure not to pass this one by. More...
This place is amazing! We had the nachos, Parmesan shrimp, avocado toast and the Midwest pizza. We enjoyed everything! The service is excellent and you can't beat the prices, especially for such good quality food. We will definitely be back!
This place is in its early days, working out the kinks. But I have to say the food was tasty and the staff friendly. So far so good.
The new Station Square Kitchen was good (maybe not "as good as it gets", but good and I thought I would give 5 stars). A friend and I went on Thursday night. We sat at a high top in the bar and our server was Jeremy and Mahia (sp?), both did a great job. We had the burger and the beef short ribs, both were great. The beer list was okay, clearly they are not a beer place like Sedona or BFDs, but still good; had M43. The wine list was good, probably 12 wines by the glass. No Happy Hour yet, but we will watch for that and will likely be back for dinner again. Keep up the good work! More...
Excited this place finally opened, we've been needing another restaurant/bar in that location for a couple years now! I had the Grilled Veggie Wrap w/ Chicken. It was a little dry, and they forgot the cheese but I added a little ranch and it definitely helped! Sat in the bar area, great service from the bartender! Definitely will be coming back to try different food options! More...

Great food, great service and awesome atmosphere.
Just took the entire staff to this place and it was awesome. Great service and everyone enjoyed their lunch. Between us, we probably had half of the items on the menu and everyone had great things to say about the presentation and then the taste and freshness of the food. Highly recommend this place. I would get in there before the word gets around how good it is and you can't get a seat. More...
