My name is Dylan Magee, I came to work for Star Print during my work experience and it was enlightening. I got to see the full process of what they do and how structured they are as a company. They had me help with production for the first couple of days where I went out and shadowed the fitting process. Then I moved onto design, for example I created a logo for Pendle Counselling Services. To play to my strengths they had me to design and spray a graffiti styled artwork for their production table. First I sketched some designs for what it might look like, once I got the design finalized I measured the table and created a scaled down version that I could transfer my design onto. It was then scanned onto the system and printed out onto some vinyl to fit the full size of the table. Using the scale of the printout I created stencils that I would be using later. Once I had all my stencils completed and organized I began spraying the vinyl and over the course of roughly 8 hours i finished the project. I enjoyed making it and they were all very supportive in my process of creating it. They helped me to be more comfortable in a working environment and to discover what I truly wanted to do as a profession, working there was a great experience and i can't thank them enough. More...

What information do you need from a client before you start work?
Prior to an order being placed we require the job specification for accurate pricing and turnaround times. Your address where to deliver the printing products to and your name of course :)
If you miss anything out during this stage our friendly staff can message, call or email to ask any further details to move to the next level. We make ordering a very simple process.

What inspired you to start your own business?
This business was founded by the director's father in 1985 and carried on until he was diagnosed with PSP (Progressive Supranecleur Palsy)
a rare degenerative brain disease which effects 1 in 100,000 people; balance difficulties, difficulty eating, slowing the brain overall until you become a prisoner in your own body.
In May 2017 the death of their father caused them to concentrate heavily on the business to increase sales and to reach out to new clients to be our clients and make their dream come true.
