They are great mechanics and give excellent customer service. I needed a quick oil leak repair and brake fluid change in my BMW, and Tony got me in the next morning. They were very honest about the oil leak, caused by a faulty oil filter gasket, from a cheaper oil filter kit (my mistake). Tony even cleaned the oil mess up in the engine bay for no extra charge. I was sent to Star by someone from a dealership! My experience there was fantastic! I didn't tell the owner that I was on limited fixed income because when you drive a Mercedes it must be because you can afford it but I acquired it in an affordable way which was miraculous in itself. But the owner was so fair with me and even gave me money off that he could have use for himself. I am blessed to have found this shop and plan to take my car there for all of this maintenance which I have not been able to keep up. Again this shop was a blessing sent down from heaven and I am so grateful to the person at the dealership that recommended this place to me! I just went online to get Toni's contact information for a friend who just purchased a new to her used Mercedes. Â I noticed there are only 6 reviews here for Starr motors and I figured I would add to the list. Â Toni has serviced 3 of my Mercedes cars since 2005. Â I would and do recommend he and his shop to anyone owning a Mercedes. As I suffered the ever increasing costs of maintaining my 2001 Mercedes with the Walnut Creek dealership, I was seriously considering replacing it with a Toyota as I could not afford the high costs of repairs to keep my Mercedes reliable. Thankfully one of my clients recommended Toni at Star Motors and the difference is night and day. He is exceptionally sharp and knows these cars inside and out, and more importantly he knows how to fix them for a reasonable fee. I have found him to be completely trustworthy and I am so confident that I don't even ask for estimates, just ask him to treat it like he would his own car (which coincidentally happens to be the same make and model as mine) and I am always impressed at how reasonable his charges are when I pick up my car. We have a 1988 560 SEC mercedes that had some issues, a friend referred us to Tony at Star motors. We had it towed there and within 20 min Tony called me back with a diagnoses ! !!! We gave him the ok to go ahead with the repairs and he called us the next day to come pick it up!! It was done!!!!!! Tony knows exactly what he's doing, he knew everything about the car!!! This is the first time I've ever had my car serviced outside of a dealership, but I was sick of the inattentive customer service that I had been receiving there. I went to Star Motors mostly on faith, since there aren't many reviews here on Yelp for places within this town. It's been a few weeks and my car is still running fine! Tony even changed one of my low beam lights out for me, and did not make me feel foolish when I didn't realize that my car was screaming that its oil levels were low because, well, I hadn't checked them in a long time. Anyway, I'm just glad there's a Mercedes Benz specialist nearby, because Lord knows that as much as I enjoy driving my car, I have no idea how to fix it. Â I should also add that Tony was nice and quick about it; he gave an honest assessment of when the car would be finished, and didn't mind that I was a little late picking it up. More...
