Ellen is an expert in home staging and design principles. She created a cohesive design plan for my new apartment, that incorporated my personal style and took into consideration the nuisances of the space to maximize it's potential. Ellen took time to understand my needs and was able to keep me focused on the design plan. Ellen is dedicated, caring and works hard to make sure your design ideas come to life. I can't thank her enough! More...

Ellen rented furniture from us to use for a staging she worked on. She was a pleasure to work with!

I really enjoyed consulting with Ellen on brightening up my living room - she didn't mind that it's a small project, clearly she just loves decorating.  She has a great eye for color selection and made excellent suggestions on things like lighting that I would not have realized on my own.  She was quick and responsive, proposed low-cost, innovative solutions, and is willing to do as much or little to support me as I'd like.  I definitely recommend giving her a try! I really enjoyed working with Ellen for decorating ideas for my new rental in Harlem. I had some pieces to start with as well as a number of gaps including window treatment, table shape, rug placement and other details. She helped me think through what items would work with the space and gave me suggestions, then followed up with idea boards and suggestions on how to save money on the things I loved. She clearly has a love for decorating and was a pleasure to work with! More...

Ellen is a gem! It's great to find a decorator who does the full range from full homes to small jobs. She listens, creates generous, helpful idea books and mood boards and gives you a lot to work with. She's also flexible- willing to do it all for you, or let you have control, or a combination that suits. Very professional and I felt listened to and taken care of. More...

“Ellen was pleasure to work with. She is very professional and understanding of her client’s needs. I am the mother of two young boys and my husband and I run our business from home. I needed some organizational ideas and Ellen was really great in providing them. In fact, even just having a conversation with her brought me a lot of clarity about what we need. I highly recommend her.” More...

“I hired Ellen to help me stage my coop apartment in a landmark art deco building in Jackson Heights, Queens. After living there for almost 15 years, I decided it was time to sell my place and put it on the market. The apartment had 1,200 square feet of gracious spacious and elegant pre-war details but needed to be decluttered, restaged and brightened up. Ellen was very helpful in selecting colors for the walls, rugs, bedding and various accent pieces throughout the space. She also helped in creating a home office in my guest bedroom and selecting some gorgeous fabric for the reupholster of my two large living room chairs. The latest news on my home is that an offer was made over the asking price. Stay tuned for the bidding war!”

“I hired Ellen to stage two guest bedrooms in my Convent Avenue brownstone in Harlem. On a shoe string budget, Ellen helped me transform the space using existing furniture, accessories and art and assisted in shopping for accent items. She re-ignited some life and old world charm into my beautiful Harlem landmark. Ellen has an excellent eye for décor and color and was a pleasure to work with.”

My client’s upper west side coop was on the market for several months and viewed by over 30 prospective buyers. I hired Ellen and she immediately re-arranged the key furniture pieces, streamlined the book cases, shopped for key accessories, and replaced a wall of photos with two large mirrors, not to mention a lot of decluttering! The home came to life and enabled anyone previewing it, to appreciate its classic details. Once it was staged by Ellen, I received two immediate offers and a bidding war ensued. I highly recommend Ellen for your staging needs.” More...

It is definitely an eclectic style. I would say modern, peaceful, comfortable with a bit of a whimsical slant. I also love modern art and try to bring in art as much as can be afforded.

I love the process of transforming a room and turning it into a beautiful living space.

My mother and aunt always worked with a decorator. One of my impressionable childhood memories was the family’s interior decorator from W. & J. Sloane, an upscale furniture ‎store that was in Midtown Manhattan in the '60s. My mother and aunt never made a decorating decision without consulting this woman. I remember going to Sloan’s week after week looking at floor plans, furniture and fabrics. Interior decorating was definitely in my genes.

A good decorator can provide a vision for what they see is next in the home and life of their client and make recommendations based on what they see with their own design aesthetic. This is exactly what I aim to do. Our company also has excellent resources, we are fast, affordable and fun to work with.
