We did mini Valentine's and mini Easter shoots with Candice. The backdrops are imaginative and whimsical. She was so wonderful with my two boys, who were not entirely co-operative with looking, sitting still or smiling. However, we got some fabulous shots, at reasonable prices with great cost for prints. Candice did a family photo shoot for me and she did a fabulous job, she chose the perfect location and had tons or great ideas that totally captured us and our personalities. She had a plan and even came up with things as went along if she saw a good spot. I loved that natural shots she took along with the posed I dont think I could have asked for anything more. We had a maternity shoot with Candice last weekend (May 2016) on the Rocky Point trails. She had lots of great ideas and made it fun, totally rolled with our personalities and preferences. Her turn around time was great, we didn't have to wait long at all for sneak peaks or the full album. It's the first time we've had professional photos taken and I know I won't regret having these to look back on and show our little one. Thank you Candice! More...

Candice was our doula for our sons birth in Dec 2016. It was the best decision we made for the birth of our second. I wanted a doula for our first but didn't know where to start. Candice reached out to me during a very difficult time, the loss of a niece, and when I found out I was pregnant it was a no-brainer to ask her to be apart of our team.

The one thing that stood out the most for me initially was that Candice always followed up with phone calls/emails/information when she said she would. To me, that was really important. On the blessed day of our sweet little man's arrival, Candice stood by my side and helped with my hypnobabies scripts and kept me watered and calm during what was a fast and furious birth. Inbetween all this, she managed to photograph his first moments on earth and the raw emotions felt by both my husband and I.

Candice felt like a friend, apart of the family and her kindness and passion for what she does will never be forgotten. More...

I don't know if I can put my experience with Candice into words. But here goes! From the get go I could tell her work as a doula went above and beyond just a job, you can tell that this her passion. She emits such an amazing energy and creates a very soothing and fun atmosphere. I am a young first time mom, and she made sure I was 100% comfortable throughout my labor. There were times when I wanted her to be there more than I wanted my partner to, haha. I went through 62 hours of labor and she did not leave my side. She supported me all the way to my c-section in which she fought for me to watch my son being pulled out of me, she fought for my partner to be able to do a long cord cut, and she managed to charm her way into the OR (which they do not allow) alongside midwife and my partner. Not only that but she beautifully photographed my labor and the birth. I am forever grateful for those photos and her kindness. I later hired her to do both my sons newborn photos and his first birthday cake smash! Both sessions were done wit so much professionalism and love! We hired Candice for family photos and she was amazing! She managed to capture so many great photos while successfully wrangling our rowdy puppy and getting the attention of our easily distracted 5-month-old. Candice came into my life serendipitously. I was 33 weeks pregnant, finishing my masters, and had not given a thought to doing maternity/birth photography or using doulas services. I found her services online and from the moment of contact I was met with this warm, intuitive, and energetic soul. After reviewing her work, I opted to book her for the maternity and birth photography package. My maternity photos were simply amazing. She worked with crappy weather, last minute schedules, a busy kid, and a camera shy guy, to create this beautiful visual story of my family and pregnancy. At 35 weeks I found out baby was breech, and Candice went above and beyond to comfort me, provide me with information, and vital emotional and psychosocial support during this stressful time. As a healthcare provider, this was so important to enabling me to be empowered and compos mentis during my pregnancy and flowing into my birth experience. One week after this, I experienced an early and precipitous labour, in the middle of the night, when she was at another birth. Candice found another back up doula/photographer, who I am equally ecstatic with, to capture the most important moments of my life thus far. Candice also came to my home for newborn photos and captured a video of my family in the day-to-day life of caring for my newborn that I will cherish forever. I cannot thank her enough. These photos and video are without a doubt, the best investment I have made. I look at my little growing baby every day and want to freeze time so I can remember these special moments. Candice has given me that priceless gift. She is talented, thoughtful, and kind. She is the type of person you can meet, and welcome into your life during these significant and private moments. We hired Candice as our birth photographer/water pool setup and take down. Although baby boy decided to arrive too quickly, we didn’t get to do a waterbirth and it limited our birth pictures but Candice made up for our lose and we are so happy to have received newborn/family lifestyle pictures. Plus a surprise of birth pictures she captured within seconds of walking through our door. While also assisting the catch of our son, we didn’t hire her as a doula but I felt she jumped right in and helped us feel comfortable and taken care of. She also comforted our daughter while all the chaos was happening. I’m so overjoyed by how everything turned out and having Candice in our home and connecting with our family. She is extremely understanding, supportive and a happy uplifting soul to have around ! 5/5 recommend ☺️ More...
