Stayed her for one night for an interview next day. Everything was good, staff were friendly and helpful both at check-in and checkout. Would have taken the breakfast in cafe opposite the lodge, however I had an early start and would not have made my appointment on time. Cafe opens at 7:30, if it opened at 7 am would have been very useful.||Would highly recommend and if I had to come back to Leicester will stay here again. I am picky where is stay and the big box hotels are not my thing.||||Thanks for a pleasant stay. More...

I can’t say enough good things about our stay at St Martins Lodge. My wife and I had a beautiful Jr suite while our son stayed down the hall in a double. Both rooms were spotless, roomy and offered a great view of the Cathedral.|From check -in to check-out the staff was pleasant and very helpful. A special thank you to Kyle at the reception who assisted in getting us taxis and a later checkout. The breakfast buffet on Sunday morning had the typical items expected for a Full English breakfast. The weekday breakfast menu was four full options from the menu. The White Rose staff was extremely nice and went out of their way to make one’s breakfast enjoyable!|Should I be fortunate to return to Leicester from the States I will definitely be staying at St Martins Lodge. Thanks again staff. More...

A very pleasant stay in a very well equipped large room. Smart modern bathroom with shower and unusually a roll top bath in the corner of the bedroom. Free parking in open car park adjacent to the lodge. Breakfast is taken across the pedestrianised road next to St Martins Cathedral. Lovely friendly staff and good buffet breakfast with choice of drinks. One minute walk to Richard III Museum. |Happy to recommend a stay here. More...

Me and wife stayed here for night. We were greeted by a very nice man in the car park saved us walking over to reception to come back again. He showed us round our room and even booked us a Taxi as we were late for a show. We stayed in the suite on the top floor and was very surprised the size of the room for the price. Had a changing room and very large bathroom. The only down side was the noise outside , the widows are not that thick and people coming back from a night out you could hear everybody disturbed sleep. Breakfast is over the road and was very nice. Overall very high quality for the price and great staff. More...

I booked this hotel for my son and his partner for a Birthday treat through Booking.com. I then had to change the date and so I called the hotel directly and they were very helpful. Kyle said that at the time of booking the Hotel was empty so he told me he would put them in one of his favourite rooms overlooking the Cathedral on the top floor. When we checked in, we were taken to a room on the ground floor, so having had the conversation, I called Reception and they were very helpful and apologised and within five minutes came over and took us to a beautiful room on the second floor overlooking the Cathedral. It was a definite upgrade, much bigger with a claw foot bath and very comnfortable. ||I then left my son and his partner to it and they said they had a really lovely night there. The only cons I would say were that the radiator didn't work but again, reception were helpful and offered to bring a portable heater to the room. Also, the large bed was actually two single beds put together with a hard piece down the middle of the bed which was uncomfortable. Not something I would expect in such a room.||Apart from that, there was no question it was a lovely Hotel, in a great location. ||The Car Park would've been difficult not find had I not have spoken directly to the Hotel who gave me a different Postcode. It would be helpful if that was listed on Booking.com. More...

Stayed for 2 nights at the Lodge. The room was beautiful, and of much higher standard than you would expect for the room rate. It's in a very central location, so if you're staying at the weekend you may want to request a room on an upper floor at the rear of the building. Parking is free if booked via the hotel's website, although the car park was not the easiest to find. The hotel is in a great location, in a recently redeveloped part of the city across the road from the cathedral. Breakfast is in a cafe adjoined to the cathedral, and while nothing particularly special was perfectly adequate. Would definitely stay here again. More...

While a church run property would not normally have been my first.choice to stay, it turned out to be the perfect selection. The Lodge has recently been successfully converted to hotel style accommodation. It is ultra modern, with large airy rooms, flat screen tv modern bathroom and plenty of hot water.||||Breakfast is served in the coffee shop across the road in the church complex and provides a reasonable range of offerings. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful.||||One of the best features is that the Lodge is only metres away from the Richard 111 museum, city market and restaurants. Parking is provided in a secure car park behind the Lodge. The road in front of the Lodge is one way, so if possible enter via New Street, continue to the car park on the left just behind the Lodge and press the help button, which will connect you with someone to let you into the car park. Slap bang in the middle of the city, a stone's throw from the Richard III action and the cathedral with everything else close at hand, I can't believe people would opt for a big box brand hotel on a ring road when they could book in here. ||Booking online bagged me an £85 bargain for a well-proportioned double room with top class facilities (fab shower room, gorgeous big bed) with a designer feel that reminded me of Malmaison/Hotel du Vin style, but at such a low price.||That price included city centre parking and an excellent breakfast in the cathedral precinct just across the road.
