Went through The Studio for business portraits for my work, LinkedIn, etc. profiles. The pictures turned out perfect. The staff were fantastic and very patient and helpful. After the session - we went through the portraits and selected the keepers, which was hard because they were all perfect! I had a blast with this experience and it's something I'll defiantly do again! Mine and my husband's 10 year anniversary was coming up and I wanted to do something different for both of us. When I called to schedule my appointment, the ladies were very kind and informative. When I arrived on the day of my appointment, the studio was very clean and tastefully decorated. Now before I go any further, let me say that I have about as much sex appeal as a potato. Anytime I've had my hair or makeup done professionally, I always feel as if I look too "made up" and I don't feel myself. I also was a bit nervous since I've joked with friends before that I couldn't be sexy if my life depended on it. Anyway, when I arrived Stacey greeted me and after filling out some short paper work, she showed me to a dressing room, we had a small consultation about the outfits I brought, and we began my hair and makeup. Let me tell you she did an awesome job! For once I didn't look too made up. My baby fine, stick straight hair had natural looking volume and waves and my make up was tasteful while still playing up my nature features. While she was doing this, she, Chrissy (the photographer), and I chatted and it felt very natural which was important to me since I have bad social anxiety and tend to "freeze up" in new situations. It felt like talking to two friends I hadn't seen in a while. After hair and make up, Chrissy and I had a more in depth consultation about my outfits. I gave her my suggestions and she gave me hers without making me feel pressured. When the shoot began it was just Chrissy and I. She walked me through all the poses, taking into consideration what parts of my body my hubby liked and also if I had any parts of my body I was uncomfortable with while still making the poses sexy and tasteful. I felt very comfortable during the entire session. Once everything was done, Stacey and I sat down to look at the photos. I. Was. Stunned. I wanted to cry because these two women took this potato and made me look like a hot tamale!! Everything looked so beautiful; I had no idea I could look like that! What an amazing experience!! First let me say I am a very modest person when it comes to showing skin. I wanted give my husband a personal & unique gift for our upcoming anniversary. What can be more personal & unique than boudoir photos of yourself?!? Stacey & Chrissy totally made me feel at ease within minutes. My hair & make up was absolutely perfect and the photo shoot was a blast!! I viewed the proofs at the end of the session & wanted to cry, but in a GOOD way!! I saw myself in a completely different way & felt beautiful. Chrissy is phenomenal with the lens, lighting & poses! And these were the proofs! I loved my experience here! I purchased a Groupon and had to change my appt three times due to work, but they were very understanding. This was one of the best experiences I have had in a long time. I showed up and Stacy did my hair and makeup and it looked beautiful. I could never make it look like that! Krissy took my pictures and she helped me pick out how to arrange my outfits and what to wear together. She demonstrated how to pose to get the most flattering views, and it was quite the workout. I was actually sore the next day- which is a good thing! Debbie helped me pick out the pictures that I wanted on my cd that came with the groupon, and I had originally told her that I was only going to buy one additional picture, so she helped me choose the perfect one. I left and got down the street and decided to go back and buy the book because I realized that I will never look and feel that way again. This was one of the best experiences of my life! Like most women, I came in to acquire photographs for my significant other (boyfriend) and I certainly got what I came for. But what I am truly writing about is what I WASN'T expecting. I never imagined that I could look at photographs of myself and feel so purely beautiful. The hair and makeup to make you look like a movie star. A photographer that walks you through each step of every picture to gain the outcome that you desire. And a sales process that is completely NOT a sales pitch - it's two friends looking at photos and making a plan. So yes, I got a wonderful gift! But I really receive the gift of confidence! I truly appreciate the ladies at The St. Louis Boudoir for such a fantastic photo session and for making this a ultimate experience for me. My boyfriend was really taking by the photos of me and he says that, "they were hot". That is a birthday present that he will always cherish. He only wants those pictures of me in his bedroom, not on his desk because he says," he is a jealous person and he doesn't need any man groveling at my picture".
