About

Ssssstudio is a graphic design practice founded by conceptual artist designer and educator Steven Swinney, that works with design and typography in a context of sociopolitical structures.

Ssssstudio serves clients mainly in the cultural sector and often works collaboratively across the creative industries. Our design approach merges thorough research with creative thinking and experimental exploration. We build strong, lasting relationships with clients, listening and understanding their needs, collaborating where possible, to foster an environment that is conducive to fresh and stimulating concepts.

We produce identities, logos, books, printed matter, websites, typography, exhibitions and objects.

Steven is also a Visiting Lecturer in Visual Communication at Leeds Arts University and has been a Visiting Lecturer in Communication Design at The Glasgow School of Art.

ssssstudio’s interests are primarily in print, typography, the post-purpose-poster, mental health, education and social responsibility.
