Recently moved to Richmond and in search of a shop to service my fairly pedestrian workhorse of a bike I stumbled on Bicycle - these chaps were fabulous. I booked in online to leave my bike for a whole week as I was travelling (something I have had issues with in the past with places siting a lack of space for storage) and they did everything I asked for and a bunch of little things I didn't and charged less than they could have done. I was so impressed with how seriously they took an old lady with a crappy bike, including practical gigantic basket. My past experience of painfully hip cycle shops is that I am barely tolerated, my interest in cycling being limited to transport, I own no lycra. But they made me feel like a favourite aunt they were pleased to see. Top marks, chaps! I shall be back.... More...

I brought my bike for a routine service and change of crankset (from regular to compact) a few days ago. I got really good advice on the various options with regards to the crankset.
The quality of the bike maintenance was also worth commending.
The reason for the 4-star review is that I purchased a Continental inner tube with an 80-mm valve and they charged me GBP 15 for it. When I asked why the price was so high, I was given a cheeky reply that this was the price one was supposed to pay for riding deep section rims! As it turned out, Wiggle had the same inner tube on sale for GBP 3.99...

Was a bit dubious being a mountain biker taking dirt jumper to a roadie shop for service. Have to say, probably best service have had. Bike looks and rides like new and they sorted out a long running break issue. Pay a bit more , but you get premium parts. Will be taking my trails bike for post winter seasons clean up. More...

Good service and helpful staff. They maintain some of the fundamentals of a traditional bike shop with skilled mechanics who try to fix parts not just replace them. Recommended!
