Q&As

Your website is no longer a URL at which you park the existence of your online business. It’s often the first and most powerful presentation of your business – who you are as a company, what you offer, and why your products and services are better than all the rest.

Without a doubt, a great website today is one that the website owner can easily edit; that's JOB#1 for us. (It's why we've exclusively built Squarespace sites for the past 8+ years!)

1. WHAT DOES YOUR BUSINESS ACTUALLY DO?
Getting a really thorough understanding as to who you are, what you do, how long you’ve been around, etc will often help support the design research and decisions you make throughout our entire relationship.

2. WHAT DO YOU WANT YOUR SITE TO ACCOMPLISH?
What's your primary goal for the site? What do you want most from it? Quote requests, sales, class booking, more memberships etc?

Do you want the site to the following...
Get more inbound leads/quote requests/phone inquiries?
Increase brand awareness?
Educate your audience?
Encourage sales?
Collect email addresses and build a list?
Encourage onsite or social media interaction?

3. WHAT MAKES YOUR COMPANY REMARKABLE?
A lot of our clients get complacent with their online presence.
They assume that when a prospect is browsing their site, that they're the only supplier being considered. And that it's okay to wait 2 days to respond to a quote request because they also assume that that prospect hasn't contacted anyone else. —WRONG!—
Your potential customers are browsing 10+ different supplier websites looking for someone to solve their problems, not just yours, so you need a way to really stand out big-time against their competitors!

This can be the big difference between success and failure: let's determine what makes you remarkable so we can communicate that in our design.

Examples could include:
- Being the cheapest.
- Having awesome customer service.
- An amazing guarantee or returns policy. (Tip: Think Zappos and their 12-month shoe return policy!)
- Being the exclusive supplier of a product in a certain area.
- Supplying the best quality product around.
- Fast or Free delivery.
- Offering unique add-on packages no one else can.

If you really don’t have anything that makes you stand out, maybe NOW is the time you should start trying to create an advantage over their competitors. Be sure to look-into Seth Godin's book titled 'Purple Cow', which talks about transforming businesses to be remarkable.

It is always changing — always evolving — and I get front row seats watching the process of a simple idea grow into a nationwide business. Every day is different and it is a constant adventure. I love my job!

I love that I have flexibility in my schedule. Even though I work a lot— like way too much— I can arrange my time so as to take a break at the pool, go shopping and have lunch with my wife every single day!
