Very nice pub, the staff were lovely and very helpful. Nice beers at a good price. Ps if you get off at the wrong stop on the train (like we did) you won't go wrong with popping in and asking for help. Thanks again for your help.

Stayed here for a few days the ensuite bedrooms (we had 2 family rooms) were very big, they were very clean. We had breakfast which was very nice cereal and toast,for extra cost can add full English. Steph and Ollie are really good host's. There is a lovely bar with pool table and 2 tv's. No evening meals but is a very nice restaurant 5 minute walk away. There's a lovely beer garden at the rear with really nice views would recommend a stay here a good base for touring the area More...

The room was clean, modern and welcoming, the breakfast was first class, and there was excellent choice of drinks in the bar. I tend to stay away a lot with work, at the larger branded hotels, you know what you get etc, but it’s easy to forget about the pubs, guest houses and B+B’s which provide excellent service, comfortable accommodation and friendly atmosphere, which is exactly what the Sportsmans Arms provide. Can’t really add much to previous reviews. Easy access to A38 and south east Cornwall. Very nice rooms with tea/coffee making facilities. We had a room overlooking the road and with windows open because of hot weather found passing traffic and the nearby railway line somewhat noisy, but otherwise no complaints at all. More...

Was in the area on business and had to stay over. Booked on the day. Very friendly owners and locals and spotlessly clean and comfortable rooms. An excellent nights sleep. ||Was recommended a local restaurant for evening meal which was only 500 yds up the road and very pleasant too. We spent 3 nights last weekend (May) at this establishment. The weather was nearly as warm as the hosts, Ollie and Steff. Exceptionally friendly staff, extremely clean and big room . The bar was not too noisy and the ale was very well looked after. Wonderful views across the Cornish countryside and very relaxing. Stayed here for the night when attending a nearby wedding. We were greeted by Ollie and Steph and the room was prepared early for us to get ready for the wedding. Beautifully presented room and very clean, had a lovely peaceful sleep. Breakfast was served at the requested time and didn’t disappoint, just what was needed after a day at a wedding.
