DJ Jonah and Jamar were our team for our wedding and it was nothing but great! They asked people what they were interested in, they knew cues to change or keep the song going. They felt the vibe of the event and took charge. Jonah is very personable and is great to get people's attention with enthusiasm. Split Second Sound was a pleasure to work with from the initial conversations to the big day. They were very professional and helpful throughout the wedding planning stages. We chose Jonah to DJ our wedding and he was amazing! We live in NY and were hosting the wedding in NC and he set up skype meetings to get to know us ahead of time and truly understand our taste of music and who we are as a couple. The day of the wedding, Jonah made sure to get recommendations from our guests and ensure all our favorite songs were played. We used Split Second Sound for our ceremony and reception at The Dairy Barn, Fort Mill, SC and I cannot be more pleased with my decision to use them! From the very beginning of wedding planning, SSS hosted a meet and greet at their office where I was able to meet a few different DJ’s and ask any questions that I had. After talking with a few, I knew that Charlie was the perfect fit for our special day!

Charlie and Desiree were absolutely fantastic. They had people out on the dance floor all night long- even people who I didn’t expect to dance! A month later I am still receiving compliments on how great the day was, especially the DJ! I absolutely loved the online portal that Split Second Sound has. You’re able to create a wedding day time line that covers all the details of your day no matter how big or small.

Charlie did such a fantastic job choosing songs that people would dance too, and Desiree was able to keep the crowd going! I really appreciate the effort that Charlie made to include Latin songs and dances that were requests by some individuals at my reception, it really made the night even more special for them!

Our wedding reception was DJ'ed by Jonah and his assistant Keith. We specifically requested Jonah for our wedding from SSS based on previous reviews and it was one of if not the best decision we made during wedding planning. Jonah was great in the lead up to the wedding day. He did so much to make sure he understood not only both our musical tastes but also the demographics of our wedding guests. As the Master of Ceremonies, Jonah made sure to pay special attention to name pronunciations and helped us to coordinate the wedding party entrances and made special edits for dances. On the wedding day, everything was perfect. Both Jonah and Keith received great reviews from our guests and families. Jonah worked hard all night to bring energy to the reception and was incredibly easy to work with all night. He helped to keep us on a timeline but also gave us plenty of time to talk with our guests. It was incredible to not have to worry about anything with Jonah in control. We could not have asked for a more professional group of guys to work our wedding reception. In the months prior to our wedding we also had the chance to meet with Vinny the owner and he was incredible and helped to answer any questions we might have had. Vinny was the DJ for our wedding and absolutely crushed it! We had people out on the dance floor all night. We are still getting compliments from guests on how much they loved the party. Their service isn’t just their music. The are hands down the best in the business from start to finish. From the portal making sure they have all the details of your night to follow up calls directly from your DJ prior to the event. Vinny did the music for our ceremony as well. Right before we started having the parents walk down the isle it started raining. Vinny was so quick to adjust to our rain plan to keep everything running smoothly and still on time. This was true for the entire night. Hyping up the guests and keeping the energy up for the intros, specials dances, cake cutting, all the way through to the send off. We could not have been more pleased with DJ Charlie and his work at our wedding reception. The groom's family is from Peru, and the bride's family resides in Charlotte, North Carolina, so you can imagine the challenges of coming up with a playlist that would appeal to all of the wedding guests that night. However, it was not a challenge at all for Charlie. He really listened to our thoughts and concerns about finding the right music mix at our initial meeting, and we left knowing that we could completely trust him with our big event. He made all of our guests feel included, and played the perfect mix of English and Spanish songs all night long. The key ingredient to a FUN wedding is amazing entertainment. Split Second Sound was the first vendor I booked after I had locked in my venue. I have been to so many weddings where the DJ or band fell short and no one wanted to be on the dance floor. I had the pleasure of working with Split Second and DJ Mike for my mothers surprise 50th birthday and I was very pleased with their service. From the very beginning, their whole team was very professional, in constant contact with me, and made sure we were all on the same page. After getting everything arranged and signed, DJ Mike was assigned to my party and he reached out immediately to prepare. We gave him must plays and general instructions and he was amazing. He had a tough crowd to work with (Sunday night with majority elderly guests) but he was able to get everyone dancing and kept the momentum going for some time. I couldn't be more excited about how great everything has been with Split Second Sound! Admittedly, I was discouraged by the wedding DJ prospects in the Charlotte area and specifically looking for a non-wedding DJ, then I heard about SSS. From the initial meeting with Vinny and being able to talk tech with him (I'm a sound engineer myself) to the last song of the night at our wedding reception with Jonah as our DJ, EVERYTHING went smoothly. These guys really know what they are doing and have created all the tools they need to be successful. Their client management & organization are unparalleled and really put my wife at ease. What an incredible experience. Jonah was our DJ and he was amazing...what a great guy and he had very positive energy. He was easy to work with and gave me very good staging advice before the party really got cranked up. He definitely knew what he was doing and you could tell when he stared playing, that he loves what he does. My guest LOVED him. The demographic was 15 to 76 and he knew just how to read the room and play the perfect music to keep the energy and vibe just right. DJ Derek & Zachary did such a great job that I didn't want the reception to end. As the bride, I was seriously so flabbergasted and floored how they got not only the entire wedding party and family dancing, but the entire audience too! Not even grandma was sitting! To put it into perspective, I stepped off the dance floor for a short minute just to watch and take all the amazement in. I worked primarily with Derek and I was definitely that bride that procrastinated until just a few days before the wedding. He was so helpful on several occasions because not only did I have no idea what I was doing, but I was so stressed that I didn't want to plan my wedding anymore. When it came to picking out songs, I became so indecisive and Derek was so patient with me and just literally walked me through it like it was nothing. Our family and friends were still talking about the wedding weeks later and the one thing everybody mentioned was how wonderful and interactive the band was-worth every penny!!!

Split Second Sound was a cost I am so happy we took on, because they truly kept the party going the entire night! There are a lot of options for DJs, you have individuals who DJ as a side gig and a lot of small DJ companies. We quickly found that the majority of these didn’t have the required insurances, didn’t have a back-up plan, or both. We wanted to feel taken care of and we didn’t want to worry about showing up to a silent reception. We found SSS via google search and loved how committed they were to providing an unforgettable experience. Our DJ and his party side-kick (I’m not sure what their term for this is) provided the best party music and mood I have ever been to. I appreciated how engaged they were, that they stuck to our do not play list, our absolutely must play list, and their ability to feel the room and decide what to play next. We had a mix of Hispanics, liberals, white conservatives, South Indians, ranging from 4-83 and we have been praised on how wonderful the party and the music was. My husband and I knew that Split Second Sound would be our DJ company and we were not disappointed! Derek and Harrison were wonderful. I spoke with Derek a couple of times before the wedding to go over everything - he was organized and committed to making our day the best it could be. Absolutely fill out everything you can on the VIP page on the website - it helped Derek learn about us and ensured he had everything we wanted for our day. We had warned derek that our crowd would be a challenge and I did not under promise. We had about 80 guests and there were typically 8-10 people dancing at anyone time. Derek and Harrison flew into action with a conga line and anything else they could think of. Regardless of how many people were dancing, they gave 100% to make sure it was a great party. I can NOT say enough about how great Split Second Sound was at our wedding! Our DJ was by far the most raved about aspect of our reception! We were assigned Michael Glass as our DJ for the night and he was phenomenal. We met a few weeks prior to our wedding and went over every single detail of the night, including a lot of things I had never even thought of. He gave us tons of advice and suggestions for songs that went well with our personalities and details of our wedding. He called us again the week of and made sure everything was perfectly planned. Split Second Sound was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day. Having a great DJ was always at the top of our list. .. Little did we know our expectations would be blown out of the water. When I went with my parents to meet with Split Second Sound for the first time, none of us knew what to expect. Seriously - five minutes into our meeting, we knew we were in the right place. Vinny was kind, funny, and more than helpful. He answered all of our questions.... and we had a lot! We left feeling so confident in our decision to choose Split Second Sound and were so excited for our wedding day.

A few weeks before our wedding, we met with Jonah, our DJ! He answered all of our questions and was so patient when I wasn't able to answer all of his. I was honestly caught off guard (in a good way) by the thoughtful and intentional questions Jonah asked to get to know us better and to help him make our wedding day perfect for us. He truly made me feel like his top priority was making my dream wedding a reality. Jonah made so many recommendations and suggestions, he was there for us every step of the way.

Fast forward to our reception, Jonah checked in with me throughout the evening to give us updates on what was coming next and ask questions about anything that may have come up. It was so nice to have a 'heads up' on when the cake cutting was happening or when our dances were. That way we were able to visit with our guests and also keep the night on track. Jonah and Justin also touched base with every table in the room asking them what kind of music they wanted to hear. Wow! Our experience with Split Second Sound was absolutely amazing! One of our biggest priorities for our wedding was for all our guests to have fun and be out on the dance floor. SSS has such a good reputation around Charlotte that me and my husband knew we had to go with them. We had DJ Chris and Andrew. We met with Chris beforehand to talk and get to know him. DJ Steve and his assistant Andre were great! We met with Steve the week before the wedding to discuss details and we knew immediately that we were in good hands. My husband and I were very focused on having an MC that could run the reception leaving us to just sit back and enjoy the party. Steve helped us come up with a schedule for the reception beforehand that included all of the traditional elements (first dance, cake cutting, etc) but also promoted maximum guest involvement and got them out on the dance floor having a great time. The day of the wedding both Steve and Andre did a great job of keeping the reception moving and my husband and I loved that we didn’t have to keep track of what was coming next, we could just go with the flow. Amazing!! I couldn't have asked for more! I booked Split Second for my wedding ceremony and reception. The service I received from my first conversation up until the actual wedding day was perfect. Everyone at Split Second that I encountered was friendly and professional. They did a great job setting me up for the perfect day ahead of time. They have a web portal where you can enter all the details of your big day -including information about you and your spouse, average age of guests, requested songs and even your timeline of the day. This made the day of go so smoothly! I loved them and my guests loved them.
In addition to the DJ services, I signed up for th Bride Concierge package. Lauren was absolutely phenomenal. She was a huge help on our wedding day - she assisted with decorations, setup and breakdown. I didn't have to worry about a single detail. I couldn't have made it through the day without her!

Wow! Where to begin? From the get go, Split Second Sound left us impressed. The initial contact left us feeling so confident that this company would be able to give us the wedding of our dreams, and that they did! We absolutely loved that SSS matched us up with a DJ that was not only familiar with our venue, but also matched our personalities. Our first meeting with DJ Michael Glass was fabulous, and as soon as we hung up from Skype, my husband and I looked at each other and knew that this guy was going to be incredible. Michael accommodated all of our needs -- even allowing me to sing Britney Spears karaoke in the middle of the reception. When rain forced us to change our plans, Michael worked closely with our venue staff to make sure that the evening went on without a hitch. DJ Mike was our DJ at our reception and we are still getting messages and calls about how much fun people had. I don't think there was one second that the dance floor wasn't packed. He played the perfect songs in a great order to get everyone out on the dance floor. My husband is Haitian so we wanted to play some Haitian music during our dinner and Mike made it super easy to make sure he had all the songs needed.
