Paul is an absolute star and such a lovely person. He really took the time to listen to what we wanted and it was great to meet him for a chat before the big day. Paul really filled us with confidence and this meant we could really relax and enjoy ourselves. The mix of music was great and we all enjoyed a good dance. Paul also introduced us and the speeches, which was absolutely amazing. He was professional but also down to earth and relaxed. Paul knew our venue (Shottle Hall) and the the staff really well so this helped everything run smoothly. We loved having him as part of our day and we honestly do recommend him. Thank you Paul! Paul at Spirits High was absolutely brilliant from start to finish, out of all of our wedding suppliers he was by far the quickest to reply to any of our questions and queries. Often we would sit at home with a glass of wine think of a question, send an email and almost immediately get a reply. He came to our house to do a pre wedding meeting where he had some great ideas and bought examples of how to use the props, uplighters, signs etc and we chose our pic & mix favourites. The evening of our wedding we moved over to the marquee at Shottle Hall where Paul had already set everything up and the place looked amazing. The music was brilliant and Paul's input on the microphone was just as we wanted it kept to the introductions and a few announcements but not to much. Fantastic. Paul DJ'd at our wedding on 27th August and we cannot fault him. Our requests (and guest requests) and dedications were played and thoroughly enjoyed. Every meeting/email was responded to and nothing was too much effort. Even the early morning emails!
Very professional, personal and friendly service- we will recommend and also find another party to organise so we can use Spirits High again �

Spirits High made our wedding reception absolutely amazing! There was no competition choosing our wedding dj! My sister had Spirits High for her wedding over 4 years ago and still remembered how amazing it was and knew i couldnt go anywhere else! !! And what an amazing decision that was!! We booked Spirits High for our daughter's wedding. Rebecca and Tom like things a little different and are into a variety of Indy and rock so we were a little concerned about how successfully this would transfer to a wedding disco! Absolutely fantastic! Paul provided the music at our wedding reception last week and the music was fantastic. Paul was very professional throughout & always answered any queries we had. All our guests commented on how great the music was & the dance floor was never empty! We booked spirits high entertainment for our wedding back in July. We met Paul a few times before the day then he came to our house at a day and time to suit us to run through everything . Paul was very professional and nothing was too much trouble, he helped us plan our music for every part of the day ,
- entering the marquee
- cutting the cake
- first dance
- last song to be played
He even asked us if there was music he wasn't allowed to play,
music he had to play , if he can take requests from guests and wasn't bothered when I handed him a list of 50ish songs I wanted playing during our meal.

It was just fantastic and a fab range of songs with just he right amount of cheesy music. Everyone I spoke to said how brilliant the DJ and music was.

We also had the postbox, garden games and love letters from Paul , the letters were brill for photos and the games kept guests well entertained as photos were been taken.

Great service. Paul is an amazing guy, he does exactly what you want him to and is very accomodating. He was more than happy to play the music we wanted; wasn't afraid to kick the night off with Slayer, skip back to 'acceptable' wedding music, then crank up the heavy metal later on. Paul was our DJ for our wedding at Shottle Hall on Feb. 19th. My husband and I currently live in the US, and Paul was great at coordinating everything over the internet. Our guests really enjoyed using the song request form as well. Our guest list included both Brits and Americans and Paul was great about playing a mix of music that appealed to everyone and reflected our musical tastes as a couple. He even went out of his way to purchase some American tunes, particularly our last dance, which we really appreciated! Paul was the DJ for our wedding at Shottle Hall on Friday 10th March. Simply put he did a fantastic job! Not only on the evening itself but in the run up and preparation for our wedding. He took his time to get to know us and understand the type of music we wanted playing, along with helping us select uplighting colours for the venue and other bits & bobs to help the evening run smoothly. All guests we have spoken to since have said how good the music was, most people's feet are still recovering - the sign of a great night! Paul was our DJ at Cressbrook on 13.5.17 I honestly could not have asked for a better DJ :-) He went above and beyond for us on more than one occasion and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. We had Paul as our DJ at Shottle hall on the 26/10/2017, we had the deluxe all day package. Paul was absolutely amazing, the big day went amazing, everyone loved the games it kept the children happy, the love letters were just set beautifully next to the dance door. When sorting things out paul came out to see us, to know exactly what we wanted. The music that was played everyone loved not many people were sitting. We had Paul do the evening DJ at our wedding in August at Shottle Hall. We also hired the giant games from him for the day. From meeting Paul at a wedding fair to the night of the wedding, he was very approachable & enthusiatic about what we would like for our wedding. The night itself was incredible!! He even managed to trick our guests when the music 'went wrong' for our surprise routine!! I have never seen such a full dancefloor at a wedding! From the first song to the very last, everyone was up having dance offs & busting some incredible moves! We cannot recommend Paul enough - he even played one more song!!!!!!!!! We hired Paul for the deluxe all day package on the 18.10.17 at shottle hall! He was amazing! From the minute go we got a webpage set up where we could choose songs for the night and also choose songs we didn’t want to be played!
On the day Paul couldn’t do enough to help us from gathering everyone for the photos to having everyone on the dance floor with some amazing music! Also hire of the post box and giant garden games which keep the kids (big kids) entertained! So so helpful and at a resonance price! Would recommend you to everyone! Thankyou for everything Paul!! Paul was the DJ for our wedding on 20th January 2018. From our first meeting to the final song he was excellent. Great communication and good website for friends and family to request their song choices. He advised and worked with us every step of the way which helped us feel more relaxed and confident about our choice of entertainment. Paul joined in with the fun and laughter on the night and he was able to read the mood on the dance floor throughout the whole night. Even the mother in law was up throwing some shapes :)

The giant LOVE letters and postbox fitted in with our theme perfectly and brought an extra touch of class to our perfect day.

Paul joined us on Saturday at Shottle Hall, he was recommended by Shottle and top of the search list locally online for wedding DJ’s in the area. He really listened to what we wanted and delivered a cracking night with almost all the guests on the dance floor I couldn’t recommend any more!
