Amazing!!! My son and his new bride had their wedding and reception here. Shawn and Christina wanted a Star wars themed wedding on May 4th 2018. The staff went out of their way to join in and make it even more special by coming up with Star Wars theme drinks and when we told them that the guests would be dressing in their favorite star wars characters we arrived to find all the staff dressed in character as well! They were always right there to make sure the my son and his new bride had the greatest wedding ever. Spire 29 is a beautiful venue. It is well kept, with a clean reception area, bathrooms and downstairs lounge. The LED lights behind the windows can be changed to allow for you to accent the entire room with whatever wedding colors you chose, or simulate natural lighting for a comfortable dinner setting. The balcony provided a great place for a photo booth, where guests could enjoy it but also still overlook all the action below. We were able to comfortably accommodate 100 guests. The staff is professional and the venue manager has great attention to detail, responds to messages promptly and is a seasoned wedding vendor. They made us feel welcome and valued as a customer. Spire was able to work with all our local vendors to hash out wedding day logistics, without us ever having to worry. They had a transition in management while working with them, but it was completely seamless. The new manager, Jim, brings the same level of professionalism and experience as Brian did. We really enjoyed our night, and we would recommend Spire 29 to anyone. More...

We had our wedding reception here in August 2017. Brian and his staff were fantastic and very eager to please. It was nice to be able to spend the day setting up as most venues only allow you access for a few hours before the event. We were lucky enough to be able to access the night before as well, which made a huge difference in bringing everything in to decorate. We utilized everything that was offered, from the bridal suite, balcony upstairs, linens and dishes and kitchen area (additional fees for these last two). Our guests have repeatedly told us how beautiful everything came out and what a great time they had. For the price of the venue and the value included I would and will highly recommend Spire 29 to anyone looking for a wedding venue in the area. Don't look any further. If you desire a wedding in this area, Spire29 is where you should go. I'll start by saying there wasn't a request that I made that Brian didn't meet or exceed (now listen, we didn't go crazy here, but he didn't have to do what he did). Brian worked with all of my vendors seamlessly. Between food, photography, DJ, bus company etc. you name it and he helped make sure everything lined up with the venue and was able to make things work perfectly. I thought throwing our own wedding was going o be difficult, but Brian really helped make it work spot on. The venue itself is the perfect size for a wedding of around 110/115 people. We didn't feel squished or anything. We had no doubt the majority of our people dancing and the venue was able to handle this without any problem. We elected to have both the reception and the ceremony in one location and Brian and his team made this easily work. He sets up the ceremony in lined seating and then during the cocktail hour his team broke down the chairs and moved in the tables. Worked out perfectly for us, no one blinked an eye on it. They have an upper area that we didn't utilize but could easily held a photo booth etc. to extend the wedding space. We ended up putting a video camera up there to record the wedding from the top. Can't wait to watch the video. Brian provided us a full list of beers and wines that he could get from his distributor and allowed us to pick out what we wanted. The guests loved it and really appreciated the options we could get. I mean, there is only so much you can drink, but it is great to drink what you want (both local, domestic and international). During the day of event, he and his staff blended in and you wouldn't have known they were there. They took care of the Bride and got them their drinks and made them comfortable for their entire stay. It really was easy and simple. He allowed us to decorate the day before so the day of the wedding it was simple and we didn't have to do almost anything. Really great. I can't speak highly enough of Brian and the venue. I don't think we knew what we wanted for a wedding, nor did we know everything that we were going to do when we found a venue, but Spire brought it all together for us. Brian is very communicative, respectful, helpful and accommodating. A great person to work with and have on your team for wedding or any event. Don't think twice about making the trip here, it is spot on. If you select this venue, a bus company is an easy way to get to and from the local hotels. We stayed about 15 min away in South Portland and got bused over. Super simple. Please, go and enjoy the venue and make your event what you want with the help of Spire 29! More...

My family and I hosted a surprise anniversary party for our parents last weekend. Leading up to the event, we couldn't have asked for better communication and attentiveness. Brian always answered my emails or calls within hours and never made me feel like I was asking for too much! Brian truly made this process a breeze. On the day of the event, all the tables and the room was set up just how we asked and it looked beautiful! Kirsten, the bartender, went above and beyond to make the party such a success. From gathering last minute requests and lighting all the candles, to serving DELICIOUS drinks with a smile and wonderful personality--Kirsten did it all! My husband and I hosted our reception at Spire 29 with about 120 of our friends. Every detail from the first visit to the venue to the end of the evening was positive. The event coordinator guided us through the process, communicating regularly, following up to be sure we were satisfied with the progress of planning. If we had questions about some of the details she worked with us to fine a solution.

The venue itself has to be seen to be appreciated. There is ample space for guests to be seated comfortable at tables . The wood framing around the stage, the bar area and the upstairs balcony seems more inviting than some of the other more commercial looking venues. The available lighting was a nice feature which we used to add some fun to the party.

My husband and I found Spire 29 when we were helping his daughter plan her wedding a few months before ours. We liked the venue and staff so much, we decided to book it for our reception too ! It is a great value , close to home and a beautiful space to host a wedding or any other event. More...

Spire is a unique and beautiful venue. We had a comedy night & silent auction fundraiser for our event.
