We booked the pony/petting zoo/face painting/balloon artist package through them for our Preschool and Daycare Center Halloween event and are so glad we did. Dawn was very helpful with details over the phone a few weeks ago when we called and sent us an email with what we needed for setup-she also followed up a few days before the event to make sure everything would go as planned. The day of the event, Dawn and her assistant arrived early to set up and cleaned up everything before leaving. The kids and parents loved everything and had a blast. We are so happy to have had them for our event and can't wait to use Dawn's other services for our upcoming Christmas event. More...

AMAZING! Not just kid's parties...Dawn and her team at Special Memories Children's Entertainment are fantastic! We hosted a Law School Graduation Party for a family member at an outdoor venue. The outside venue did not provide very much other than the space so we had to bring in pretty much everything. We live in southern CA so it was very difficult to plan this party from so far away. We reached out to Dawn and she changed our planning experience for the better! We had only seen the outdoor venue once so planning what we needed to have, bring in, how much space we had and other logistics were challenging. Dawn went out of her way to visit the venue multiple times on our behalf and offer suggestions to help enhance the ambiance and ensure our guests and the guest of honor had a spectacular time. Dawn and her team even worked with a restaurant on our behalf that the guest of honor loved and chose to have cater the event. Even though we coordinated the food on our own and it was not affiliated with Dawn or her team she still went above and beyond and worked with the restaurant to ensure we had plenty of food and supplies (some of which she provided without being asked). Special memories aren't just for children.  When my daughter asked me to plan a party in the park for her 30th birthday and law school graduation, I knew I would need help.  I live in southern California and the party was to be at a park in Santa Cruz. The short time between the graduation and the party left little time for decorating or collecting food, ice, balloons, etc.  After a few frantic calls to local party planners, Dawn was the only one professional enough to respond. She discussed what we had in mind, followed up with great suggestions, took charge and the party was a huge success.  Her ideas and professionalism saved the  day. But I wanted to express the most spectacular sentiments about the experience I shared with Mrs. Dawn, her assistant, and they team of supreme party entertainers. My Name is Elisha and on July 29, 2017 I had the grand opportunity to host not only a pony but an ooutstanfibg team of bunny sisters at my babies 3rd birthday carnival. We had over 20 kids show up and they were all wowed by the outstanding work of Special Memories Children Entertainment. I paid a great price for a lovely two hour window which turned out to be more than enough time for each child to not only get a ride on Oreo, their pony. But to also sit for however long they desired to sit with cute bunnies and feed, groom and pet them. We had such a wonderful time and what made my heart melt is that they even bright my baby birthday star a special birthday gift and as allowed each child to be photoed individually for their memory album. We hired Dawn, and her helper Asia, to do a bunny petting zoo for a birthday party with kids 1-5 years old. Dawn showed up promptly on time and quickly assembled the pen and let the bunnies out. Everything was in good, clean shape and the helper was very good with the kids and bunnies. The bunnies were also clean and well cared for. Marshmellow the bunny was a crowd favorite =) They were tame and docile, and the children LOVED them. Email communication was quick and prompt. They also confirmed before the event. Special Memories is amazing!! We used them for my daughter's 4th birthday party hosted at our home. We had the petting zoo and pony. Dawn and her team arrived on time and were wonderful to work with. Very professional, and terrific with the kids and parents/grandparents. Not sure how we are going to top this! We will definitely use Special Memories again for future parties. We've used Special Memories for 2 parties now and each time we've been incredibly impressed. The first party was in May 2014 and the second was this year, July 2016. They set up a petting zoo, face painting, twisty balloons and a carnival game. Each child also got a picture with the animals that they could decorate and take home. The two parties we had with Dawn's team were by far the most fun we've ever had - everyone had a blast (kids AND adults). We HIGHLY recommend these guys. More...

All I can say is wow!!! If you need a bounce house look no further. I booked a princess castle bounce house 2 weeks before and event. Dawn is prompt and super reliable. Her prices as very fair. The gentlemen who made the delivery were on time and friendly. We had a small snag with our space and they helped me resolve the location in our yard professionally and quickly. At pick up time the kids were still jumping away and the team was kind and patient while I got the kids out. I will use them again! They are the best at what they do! Not everyone has the grace to work with children but this company seems to be made of people who love seeing little kids smile! Special Memories Children's Entertainment is such a great local business. We hired ELSA to come out to our daughters third birthday party today and she was a star! The kids loved everything about her, and the activities she had planned. Face painting and the dance party were huge. Â Everything about Special Memories was top-notch. Dawn (the owner) was professional, corresponded well initially and followed up close to the event. Elsa was right on time and had such a sweet demeanor. The costume was well made, and appropriate. She was so kind and patient with the kids. And the way she lovingly hugged each child as she left made you really feel that she enjoys what she does. We had originally booked another company for my daughter's cowgirl themed first birthday party. When they had to cancel about three weeks before, in the middle of peak party season, I was freaking out. Luckily a coworker recommended Dawn and she actually had one slot left for our day!For the same price we were Going to pay for a pony and petting zoo, we also received face painting (great work), twisty balloons, a craft project, Polaroids of each child, and a carnival game. Oh and for TWICE the amount of time.All the animals and staff were amazing! I wish we could use the for every party...maybe in four years for her fifth when she will actually remember it! More...

Dawn is amazing! She has made our sons birthdays SO SO special the past two years. We will continue to ask her for her services in the coming years. She is totally personable. She is completely on top of it. She checks in a few times and makes you feel completely set! I don't have to worry that something may not happen the way I want it to with Dawn, there is complete trust and the way she handles her business makes you feel at ease when you are about to throw a big party. The first party we had was the farm animal petting zoo with puppet show. The families who attended still bring it up and we still talk about how much fun it was to have chickens, baby goats, a baby pig and the cutest lionhead bunnies in our own backyard! At the time we didnt have a huge yard, but it was no problem it went perfect! This year our son chose the bounce house for his 4th birthday. He said it was his favorite part of the whole party! My brother decided to throw a pony party for the kids th other day and it was a BLAST! Dawn, the woman who brought  Oreo the pony was so sweet and kind with the kids.  Oreo was a friendly little guy, the kids were sad to see him go. We decided to do a farm theme for my son's 5th birthday. I contacted Dawn at Special Memories, and she was so nice and easy to work with. The day of the party was the perfect weather, and Nancy brought Oreo the Pony for rides. Nancy arrived early and set up, and was so sweet. The kids loved Oreo, who was mellow and easy going. Even the most nervous kids had a ride and went back for another! Nancy was very patient letting each child get comfortable before having the pony start to walk, and parents were able to walk along too. It was the perfect thing for the party, and it was a huge success. You always want the party to go flawlessly, and working with Dawn and having Nancy at the party made the entire day wonderful. I highly recommend Special Memories and Dawn's services. Â I booked the pony and petting zoo combo for my daughter's 6th birthday. Â Despite the torrential rainstorm, Dawn assured me the party could go on successfully in my garage. Â And she was right -- the party was great and a big hit. Â The kids happily waited in line (in heavy jackets) for their multiple pony rides. Â The bunnies, goats, and chickens were so sweet -- my daughter spent at least an hour straight sitting and petting bunnies. Â The kids were occupied at all times. Â There were twist balloons, a ring toss game, and face painting. Â (And not only face painting, it was the best face painting I have seen over the years -- very elaborate, detailed, and fast.) I started planning my 2 daughters birthday parties latter then I really should of, Â after contacting several other petting zoo and either getting no reply or availablity I found Special Memories who was quickly responsive and available. Â She was very easy to work with before hand and showed up to the party ahead of time and quickly set up so I got a couple of free minutes. Â The animals were very cute friendly and clean, and as a extra bonus she did face painting and brought a carnival game. Â She even brought the birthday kids gift that weren't cheap and cheesy. I wanted a pony ride for my 4 and 6 year old's joint birthday party, and I got so much more! Dawn is truly amazing. She brought a selection of adorable bunnies, carnival games, twist balloons, picture frames (for their instant pony pictures) and provided face painting for about 20 kids. She arrived on time, was well prepared, and handled the whole group like a pro. She even gave the birthday boy and girl a small gift to remember the experience. We hired "BATMAN" from Special Memories for my son's 5th Birthday Party. Â The party was at a park in Redwood City, CA and even though Special Memories is based in Santa Cruz, BATMAN and his assistant arrived right on time! Â They were wonderful. We had a great experience with Special Memories. Â We had a pony party for my daughter's 4th birthday, and, for the cost of a gymnastics party, a real pony came to our party! The kids all got pony rides (1 hour total was more than enough for fifteen 4-6 year-olds) and a frame to decorate & then an instant photo of themselves on the pony.
