Very pleased with the simplicity of my experience. Emailed about renting chairs for a child's party. Received response and quote quickly, signed contract, and was ready to go. It is so nice you can pick up on Friday and return on Monday without rushing to return after party. My pickup was pleasant. The guy who helped me was quite kind and helpful and loaded with a smile. Courtney was wonderful in helping to put together my order for our small backyard wedding. We particularly loved the wrought iron arch which our florist dressed beautifully. The willow cake pedestals worked great for our bride and groom cakes. The rentals were delivered on time and they set up the tables and the linens for a small additional fee which was totally worth it. Although there were two plates missing from the order, we received the missing plates within less than an hour from the original delivery. Southern Events is great and I highly recommend. More...

For my recent August wedding, I was looking for a particularly shaped console table and unfortunately the vendor we had used for most of my rentals did not have anything I was looking for. Through a quick Google search, it looked like Southern Events had EXACTLY what I was looking for so after a quick phone call, I was set up with an Account Manager and found out the table was available and immediately it was “mine”…did I mention this was less than two weeks away from my wedding?! Regalo Design has been working with Southern Events Party Rental for the past 8 years now! I booked them for our rental needs such as furniture, tents, tables, chairs, linens, china, dance floors, stages and so much more! Logistically, I know that I can get quote back from them in a timely manner. I personally have to go back and forth with them multiple times for an order as things in the event business change so often. From the initially quote to the execution of the event, they always take great pride in the service they provide. The guys in the field as always helpful and make sure I have everything I need after they are finished setting up the rentals. Working with Southern Events was such a joy and easy process! Being an event planner from San Diego, who chose to have a destination wedding, meant I would be planning from 2,000+ miles away! Well, even with all the miles between us Summer, with Southern Events, made us feel right at home and helped with every little detail! The Southern Events team was truly a God send who helped us to make big decisions and uniquely understood our focus on the small little details as well!

I needed to rent 200 chairs for an event my company was hosting. Southern Events (Kristina specifically) was exceptional! From the minute I spoke with her I was confident that everything from the order to delivery to pick-up would go smooth. And, it did! Last minute we even needed to add a few items to our order and again Kristina delivered. Not only was the addition added to our current order without any trouble, but Kristina also delivered part of it personally to ensure we received it in time. Souther Events was very easy to work with. We rented a dance floor from them and it all went smoothly. My only comment is to find out about the price up front. While I don't think we could have found it for much cheaper, there were a lot of additional fees/surcharges associated with when it would be delivered and when it needed to be picked up. Our venue had some stipulations on pick up times, which made the price much more than we originally budgeted for based on the quote. More...

My advice for anyone getting married is, BOOK WITH SOUTHERN EVENTS!

My fiance and I planned our entire wedding out of state and Heather over at Southern Events was on our order(s) very quickly. As many of you know, planning a wedding has hiccups and multiple changes along the way. Every time I emailed Heather I had a response within 24 hours. She offered advice and was beyond patient with us. She took so much time with us to make sure our special day was perfect. They delivered when they said they would and had the delivery truck there on time to pick everything up at the end of the night. The products were exactly as depicted in photos, if not better.

One thing that was frustrating was they wanted, 3 days before the wedding, to add on a charge for late night pick up - so just be sure to address this issue in your first meeting. The biggest lesson I learned in planning my wedding was through booking my chairs, tables, silverware, dishes etc. I contacted Southern Events about 10 months prior to my wedding and so much changed in the time period from booking to the actual wedding day, I probably had my invoices changed at least 10 times but Aimee was amazing and made the whole process so easy! She worked well with the requests of myself and my coordinator and made everything just so easy! Our wedding looked amazing thanks to Southern Events! I loved being able to see everything that was available online and we had a great time at our consultation getting to pick and see all of the rental items to choose from in person. We also took a tour of the warehouse and picked out the vintage door and farm tables-it was a lot of fun and Summer was very easy to work with. I probably emailed and called 10 times to update something to our invoice and they were very kind and quick to help! The day of the rentals arrived on time and their team set everything up exactly where we wanted it!

I was having a small wedding on a small budget. I was providing everything I needed for the wedding and reception myself, except the chairs. I needed 36 chairs delivered and set up by 8:00 a.m. and broken down and removed by noon on the Saturday of my wedding. Three other vendors on Wedding Wire (Liberty, Maryblossom, and Music City Tents) were going to charge hundreds of dollars extra to deliver by 8:00 a.m. and pick up by noon because it was outside their Saturday warehouse hours of 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. (Imagine party rental places that don't do Saturdays!) And Liberty would have charged the same amount even if I had found a way to either pick up or return the chairs myself and Liberty had done the other. Two of them (Maryblossoms and Music City Tents) had a minimum rental/purchase of more than $1,000!

But then I found Southern Events. Southern Events did not require a minimum rental. The coordinator, Aimee Eisenmenger, was responsive and very helpful. The men who delivered and picked up the chairs were quick and very friendly. They set the chairs up and took them down without any commotion. The chairs were clean and in great condition. I'd recommend Southern Events for anyone who wants a stress-free wedding/reception and doesn't want to spend an arm and a leg.

Booked Southern Events for most of our event rentals for our daughter's wedding after interviewing 4-5 local, top rated event rental companies. Southern Events carried the type of materials we were looking for to create the feel in the venue space. Heather was very responsive; changed our order many, many times and researched needed items for us. All materials were provided as booked and delivered on-time and were of good quality. Southern Event Rentals were professoinal and courteous as we planned our wedding. I was not the easiest client as we has a backyard wedding that seemed to be constatnly changing into something new with new needs. They were flexible and easy to work with.

We did have a small setback with tables. We ordered tables to seat 10 per table (they suggested 8-10 per table), but they could only comfortably fit 8. But, they managed to get us extra tables and linens the morning before the event!

Southern Events was used for their location to our reception venue (The Factory in Downtown Franklin). Their selection and design aesthetic is on point and on trend. They have everything you need from linens to trash cans.

We could have used other cost efficient vendors; however our location was not ideal for that. BUT you get what you pay for and we paid for excellent service, selection and a personal touch. They are excellent vendors to work with.

We hosted a bridal luncheon in Nashville, TN; but because I live in Atlanta, GA all planning was conducted via phone conversations and email with Laura Wall. I was impressed by her professionalism and willingness to accommodate our every need even though our event was smaller than an event typically serviced by Southern Events Rentals. I am very pleased with Southern Events Rentals. I picked them off of the internet and found them to be friendly, helpful and reasonable in price. I looked at several other local rental places for the exact same tables and chairs and linens for my wedding but chose Southern Events. They are very polite and it was helpful to know I could depend upon them to cater to my event even at a moment's notice of the amount needed. Southern Events was recommended to me through my venue. Although a little expensive, they were extremely flexible when it came to the set up and rentals. I think I emailed Summer a million times the two weeks before the wedding, and she was kind and responsive every single time. My only complaint is actually from my family. When they went to go set up for the wedding on that morning, our venue was actually late opening the place up for us. Although Southern Events was helpful and had their own key, they were very disorganized. Apparently they lost the sheet that had the plans until one of my family members found it. If you are looking for wedding furniture and decor rentals, I highly recommend Southern Event Rentals in Nashville. We used them for our wedding and reception in April 2014 and were extremely pleased. They have an entire showroom of quality choices to fit any theme and venue. We just LOVED the vintage prop shop! Weddings are special and we found it so easy to make these big decisions with Chelsea. Chelsea is super professional, easy to work with and has a great sense of humor; she also helped us with several other vendor recommendations and has great experience with all-things-wedding. Southern Events helped to make our wedding vision come to life, even with the knit-picky budgeting we were doing. They helped to fine-tune our rental proposal many times and with quick responses. The wedding day came together beautifully! We did opt for recyclable wooden flatware instead of silver, because renting every single item can really add up. Also, there was the tiniest miscommunication with the set-up crew about our head table only having one side of chairs, when our diagram showed chairs on both sides (8 chairs instead of 16). This caused a tiny confusion with the parents and grandparents who were sitting there, but it was quickly resolved. By the time most of the people had entered the reception, the extra chairs were there, and we didn't even know that had happened until after returning from our honeymoon. The rental office is very organized, responsive and professional. The delivery crew just made an assumption that we wanted a traditional-style head table, but by having the diagram made by the Southern Events office -- I think our servers and wedding coordinator were easily able to fix the problem. The items available for rent are really amazing, and they have many options to fit your budget. It's a great place to pick a few things to splurge on (like our dessert farm table) and some things to just get basic (like the basic bar option). Overall, a great experience! More...

We enjoyed working with Southern Events. First, we went to their showroom to pick out our tables, chairs, and linens. They have a nice selection of all of these products that are good quality, and the showroom was very helpful. We thought their prices were a little steep, but the competitors weren't any better. They also told us that we could adjust the amount of rentals based on the RSVP count closer to the wedding date. We ended up keeping all the rentals we originally reserved, but it was nice to have that option if needed. They were flexible on the delivery date and delivered on time to the venue. However, we were short 1 lantern and 11 candles that were supposed to be included with the price of renting the lanterns. One of the delivery men quickly called a manager to let him know, and we were told the items could be picked up at their office or delivered to the venue the next day. They were true to their word and delivered the missing items the next day. All of the rental items arrived in good condition and were picked up on time after the event. My wedding planner scheduled a meeting with Laura Wall at Southern Events Party and Event Rentals. Laura was absolutely wonderful! She was attentive to the details, fabulous to work with and flexible as my plans continued to develop. I was wedding planning, moving out of state and making a career transition all at the same time in a 6 month time period. Needless to say, I had a lot on my plate! Laura made my reception rentals so easy. I especially liked that they were the only vendor who offered a military discount (my fiancé is a veteran) and who had the best color napkins and chair ties to match my David's Bridal bridesmaids dresses; their Aubergine matched the Sangria color beautifully.

Laura was familiar with our reception venue - W.O. Smith School of Music - and they had a large selection of rentals to offer. My advice to future brides: There is no reason to look any further than Southern Events. They have the best selection, the best staff to assist you and the best reputation for client satisfaction.

The women at Southern Events knew exactly what i wanted and made it happen. They were very flexible with my budget and up until about a week before we were still adding and subtracting items. I used the mixed china set for place settings and it was so perfect. also ask about getting the new whiskey barrels. we used them for bistro tables and the cake table. we used 2 couches some chairs and it just felt like a living room was discovered in the woods which is exactly what i was going for. I never could have done all this on my own. These women are amazing and their team just put it up and took it down right before my very eyes. i was amazed.

I had a certain vision and she emailed back and forth with me constantly, sharing ideas, providing suggestions and then amending my order accordingly. Southern Events provided everything we needed for the ceremony and reception- which were in the same location due to rain. They were able to flip the room from ceremony to reception without any fuss and the rooms looks stunning! Everything was ready on time even with the rearranging that had to happen when the rain didn't stop- they were able to make everything look so good that the guests didn't even know that the ceremony didn't take place where we'd planned (it was supposed to be outside)! The flow of the rooms was smooth and easy, we had enough seating and dishes the whole night. Tables looked beautiful and everything moved smoothly- it was such a relief to have such professional people doing a wonderful job!
