Southcote 53 Tap and Grill

We had our Girl’s Night Out Christmas Celebration there last night with our server Colin and had a blast! I hope we weren’t too noisy. The tables were pre-set with our menus as promised in the private banquet room. Everything went according to plan...lots of good food, laughter, drinks were plenty and Colin was fabulous and friendly! Everyone ate pretty much at the same time, which is great for a party of 26! On 10/5/18 we had a surprise 25th Birthday party for our son. Can’t say enough about our amazing waiter Colin, he was so personable and efficient! The food was fantastic! We just had a family wedding there yesterday, and the staff did an amazing job from start to finish! The service on the patio was a great setting, the appetizers and meal were perfect, and the bartenders/waitresses always kept a fresh rye and coke in my hand! A group of us went for Southcote 53's Canada Day party. Lots of good food: hamburgers, hot dogs, sausages, corn on the cob, four types of salad. All very tasty! Service was friendly and reasonable wait. Portions were large and prices are comparable. The only complaint would be to please use real meat in your turkey club instead of sliced lunch meat.

I held a shower on Sunday afternoon January 22 for what was to be 30 people but turned into 50 people. I had appetizers served and people ordered their own drinks. Bailey was our server and I think for the most part was on top of things. I haven't heard anyone say they didn't have a good time and they raved about the food. I would recommend Southcoat 53 to everyone and if there was another occassion to have a family get together I would consider using Southcoat again. Went for a family gathering (18 of us) had the private room,,we arrived at different times and were served drinks promptly. Separate checks were offered. Orders were taken and food delivered promptly. Great raves about the food. Especially the prime rib poutine. Server informed us that gratuities were included in bill. I have been here quite a few times. Love the food and the owner is super friendly! Love the atmosphere and the back part of the restaurant is great for hosting events, which I have attended. The only thing I would recommend is that the servers acknowledge their clientele waiting to be served, especially when they are super busy. Just a quick hello to let them know they will be with them. I just attended a wedding here at Southcote 53 Tap and Grill on Saturday. The food was excellent and the inside is exquisite! Staff were so warm and friendly and attentive . The owner was wonderful !! I arrived early to set up for decorations and again, staff helped and they even helped with ideas and adding sweet little touches.
