Best Studio and Practice space in YorkshireMy band has been practising at the foundry studio for 18 months now and we cant rate it highly enough. Sam who runs the studio check our requirements and sets up the space prior to our arrival and makes sure all the gear is ready to go, its just a case of plug and play when we get there. The equipment is really good quality, not road worn like many other practice rooms I have used. The main reason why my band use this particular space is due to the fantastic clarity you get from the live room, which helps when you have brass, bass, drums, guitars, vocals and keys all going at the same time. Recently we have been working on a few demos from our upcoming EP and the sound through the analogue Audient desk is superb. Having worked previously as an audio engineer I know how much faff goes on behind the scenes when you are recording, but at the foundry its a seamless process where I can just focus on getting the right notes and the studio engineers will work to make sure they are capturing me at my best. Recorded here not long back, Staff are very welcoming and can't help you enough. The live room and recording spaces are excellent, equipped with everything you could possibly need and really good quality. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at The Foundry Studios & can't wait too return! More...

Highly recommended for both the aspiring artist and the global music superstar... and everyone in-between.Over the last two years The Foundry has become the go-to recording space for my label. It is without a doubt the best recording studio in Sheffield and the North of England. And therefore, (probably) the best outside of London. Amazing desk and facilities are all backed up with a skilled, knowledgeable and passionate team.Also, it's located in the city centre (near the train station) meaning you can quickly and easily leave the studio space and go get food and drink to recharge your creative batteries if need be. I've used the studio a number of times over the past few months and can fully recommend it. -The live room is a superb space that has complemented the various instruments/ensembles that I have tested there including brass, drums, guitars, bass etc. and has always been set-up and ready to go when I got there. -The quality of the equipment is superb and subsequently the recordings and practice sessions have been excellent.-The staff are a pleasure to work with, not just in their manner but in their experience and competence too. -It is really close to both the train station and bus station or has it's own parking.-It has decent ease of access for bulkier instruments - no faffing around trying to fit a timp through the door! I started recording at The Foundry after using the live room as a rehearsal space. I knew that the room would produce some of the finest tones this side of Watford gap, and every minute playing in there really does feel like you're creating something special. The desk sold it for me, a gorgeous 72 faded Audient is a real treat for any techy out there! The live room combined with the desk and then a group of engineers who really know what they're doing results in a polished and huge sound. 10/10 would bang again! More...
