Our company was changing telephone companies and the requirements of the new companies installation was hard to understand so David called and talked to the people there to make sure my company had everything that was needed for the change. I need to have new cable lines run but the local electronics company did not do that type of work so they recommended Sound By Design. I was impressed from the start with them. The technician made two visits to my home, the first to take some measurements and look at the layout and what he would need to do. He also made the assessment at that time of what needed to be done and explained what he would do for the installation and asked me if I had any questions. The second visit he did the installation. I was surprised at how quickly he was able to do the installation especially working in the attic with how tight and hot it was up there. He made everything clear about the process and even showed me outside where the cable would come in and inside through the kitchen up to the attic. Their pricing was very reasonable, I just wish they would do more advertising. I did not know about them until I was referred to them. Sound By Design has been doing a great job for me. This was my first time using them. I found them on Home Advisor. I wanted my whole home wired for internet. The house is under construction so they are doing it in stages. They have come out twice and will finish the rest next week. Their pricing is reasonable and their customer service is great! I had quotes from a few other companies prior to hiring Sound By Design and the other companies did not have the high-end equipment and tools like Sound By Design has nor did they seem to have the knowledge to do the scope of the project whereas the technicians who came out from Sound By Design were fully aware of what needed to be done and how to do it. I had Sound By Design come out and do several things for me. They installed an over the air TV antenna, hung a Bose Surround Sound system for me, and mounted my widescreen TV on the wall. They showed up on time, and were very friendly people. And, they did a very good job on everything. Sound By Design mounted a projector on my ceiling an did a great job. The installer, Aaron, had a tough job as the wall and celling where he needed to mount the projector was damaged but he worked around it an got it done. I didn't wind up using Sound By Design yet, but they did a really good job taking a look at some network cabling inside my house. They made some suggestions for some things that were desirable to me, but I couldn't afford it at the time so I'm going to hold off for now, save some money, and take care of it all at once. The main difficulty was in running the cable from the antenna to the router in the office. With 9 ft. walls it was almost impossible to drill through the top plates to run the cable through. Once that was accomplished, everything else went very smooth. the installer was very professional, kept at it and assisted with software downloads and ensuring everything was working to my satisfaction.
