My husband and I had a voucher for dinner for two.  This was our first visit to the restaurant.  From the moment we walked in, we knew this was going to be a great experience!  The parking lot was FULL and everyone was busy but they were all smiling and friendly!  Our voucher consisted of 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, 1 dessert, and 2 non-alcoholic beverages.  We ordered the fried mushrooms, thinking it would be like anywhere else where you get maybe 8-12 pieces.  NOPE!  We were served with enough hand-dipped mushrooms to feed 4 people!!  They were amazing!  I even had to bring some home with me because we just couldn't eat them all!  For our entrees, I ordered the Supreme Lasagna and my husband ordered the Grilled Salmon dinner.  Both meals were absolutely amazing!  I think the thing that we loved most about our experience was the personal touch, the great service, and of course the amazing food!  The owner, Joe, came to our table several times during our meal to check on us and just chat.  We found that to be very impressive! I will say that even though we arrived during the dinner rush hour on a Friday evening, we did not have to wait to be seated and our food was served without any excessive wait.  We actually can't wait to go back again soon! Awesome pizza but we had a Delmonico 12 ounce steak the other night and tasted awesome! My girl friend is very picky about her steak and she loved it. Definitely will be back

We were celebrating Valentine's Day a little early and decided to dine at our favorite restaurant, Sorrento's. We ordered an antipasto salad and a super pizza. They both were delicious. Food is alway the best, There lasagna is to die for ! Service was not as good a usually had to wait quite a while to be seated , young lady sat at far end of bar yell someone would be with us service was slow but was told large party in back but food is worth waiting for

We love Sorrento's. They have the best lasagne! It comes out bubbly hot with a tint of brown which makes it even look amazing! Of course you get salad and bread with it also.
My husband and I both order the lasagna. He eats every single delicious bites of his while I struggle to get a third of mine down because it is so filling! But we take the rest home for his dinner the next day.
Sorrento's is a place everyone should try! They have so much on their menu to try and believe me we have tried most if them! It's a family restaurant that is beautiful inside. The waitresses are on the ball and very friendly. Try it! More...

I am so impressed with Sorrentos customer service! Last night my husband & I ordered takeout that I picked up on my way home from work. When we unpacked the food, the heaviest was on top, and had caused the plastic bottom to splinter. One tiny triangle of plastic was lost somewhere in the food. After digging through it for what seemed like forever, I gave up & called them. I figured they would just give us a credit for next time or offer to remake it if we wanted to come pick it up. I wasn't excited since they are 20 minutes away, & figured I would end up eating cereal for dinner. Instead, the manager says that HE will deliver a replacement! It was so quick & I got to enjoy my delicious food! And as a bonus, they added the chicken that my husband had forgot to order. Thanks to Sorrentos for going above & beyond! You made my night! I've been a customer for many years. Food is always good and service is very good. Did have an incident on New Years Eve one year that we had glass in our pizza which was very concerning. Waitress handled it but I did think it was serious enough the owner/manager should have talked with us and they did not. Took a while before we went back in there after that but eventually returned. We're in for dinner on Sunday and was surprised to see a table tent that stated as of 11/13 there will be a 3.9% service charge for using your credit card. Really? Seems a bit ridiculous with the food prices and who carries cash anymore? There are other pizzerias around that I will now be taking my business to. Hope whoever made that decision appreciates loosing a 20+ year customer over this. More...

Ate here yesterday with family. Ordered calamari, chicken tenders, and mozzarella sticks for appetizers. Main course was deluxe lasagna with meatballs. Calamari was okay, didn't have the sticks, but OMG the chicken tenders are god-tier. If that was my main, it be five stars easily.But then we get to the deluxe lasagna. I know they put on the menu that it's topped with cheese. I think "buried under a mountain" would be a better description. You really have to dig through the cheese, and then the meat sauce, to get to the noodles. At first, I wasn't sure the dish HAD noodles. So maybe a thinner layer of cheese?When I got to the noodles, they were actually good, so I guess everything works out.Overall? Chicken tenders. More...

Both my wife and I visited this establishment earlier this week and agree that everything was indeed A-OK.  She was impressed with the fact that they would make her lasagna with a non tomato based sauce.  Service was prompt and efficient and we both enjoyed our dishes.  We will have to try another visit and order up a pizza. Pleasantly surprised!!  We were in Flint for our daughter's softball tournament and we had a 4hr break, so we found this restaurant via Yelp.  Everything we had was great, from the appetizers and main course as well as dessert.  If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely be back!!  The chicken Marsala was excellent!!  The waitstaff was very pleasant and accommodating for our group of 17.  It's definitely worth a try!! My first few trips to Sorrentos were wayyyy back when it was still a deli/bakery combo. I'm always on the lookout for fresh bread, and Sorrentos has some good stuff. Since they renovated to a sit-down style establishment, my visits have been pretty sparse -- not because I don't like the food, but more because it wasn't the grab-a-loaf-and-go that I was used to. That said, I really like that they commit to fresh ingredients (my veggie lasagna had mushrooms that did not come from a can, and it did not go unnoticed!). They still serve their own bread with all the meals, so that's a plus. Not sure if you can still buy it by its lonesome. As another Yelper mentioned, the portions are huge, and the full sizes are just a dollar or two more. Definitely up the size to maximize leftovers! More...

Favorite dolo spot!!!! Omg, the drinks, food, atmosphere is wonderful. The service, eh..depends on who u get. Some of the waitresses aren't very friendly. Besides that, I love Sorrentos!

Recently, I attended a birthday party at Sorrento's italian restaurant. Normally, I have pretty low expectations for most restaurants in the Flint/Flushing area and definitely for italian cuisine. I was pleasantly surprised. First and foremost, our server was amazing. He was always coming to the table to see if anyone needed anything. We had small children and he made special effort to get their food out first. Drinks were always full and every detail was taken care of. I think this level of service is rare nowadays and I think it made everything seem better.    The food was standard italian pasta fare. I had a deluxe lasagna which was excellent. Their meat sauce was thick and flavorful without being a gut buster. Others at the table ordered the Chicken Parmesan, Fettucini Alfredo, and other pasta dishes that looked excellent. Dinner is a little expensive but includes a small dinner salad and bread. I think this place could be 5 star if they used local or fresh baked bread and maybe a more flavorful salad green for the salad.
