I have been working with Soroh Accounting Services since July 2018. Owei helped me to change the previous accountant within couple of days. (The previous accountant was a nightmare). Soroh Accounting Services uses an online system which is easy to access where I can update all my info. Owei is also great communicator. As opposed to previous experiences, I get monthly updates from him which means I don't have to worry nor chase anyone. I recommend Soroh for any accounting job. What do you love most about your job?
Helping clients understand what the numbers mean and how to improve these figures gives me the greatest joy. In my experience, I have come across clients from both ends of the continuum. From clients who know absolutely nothing about bookkeeping, accounting and tax to clients who know almost everything there is to know. In each case, there is always a need for added value which I can provide to them that helps them make decisions that impact their businesses positively, from taking a new business loan, to signing a new lease, to extracting cash or reinvesting surplus cash etc. Helping my clients succeed in their business is what I love most about my job.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Always knew I wanted to be an accountant and run my own practice since I was a teenager. However, I was finally inspired to take the plunge when I realised I was constantly receiving requests for consultation sessions from friends and friends of friends regarding accounting and tax matters. For a while I kept doing this pro bono, until it dawned on me that if I ever wanted to take my dreams seriously there is no better time than the present.
