Sorcha really is a talent. We have had many situations where photographers snap away constantly producing very samey type of Photo's regardless of feel and situation. Sorcha is different.... What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
knowing that everything that within the view finder has earn't it's place! and constantly questioning myself "what will make this photograph special?" that and creating a bond with the person I am photographing.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What would you like to achieve out of the photographs? What will the photographs be used for? What audience will the photographs be aimed at? What creative ideas do you have?
What do you love most about your job?
Every aspect that involves being creative .. the idea process, the production, the taking of the photograph and the selection, editing and re-touching process..but especially working creatively with others..
What inspired you to start your own business?
I studied photography at University and then went on strangely to become a stylist and a whole host of other things including having two children but actually felt very lost until 15 years after my degree I decided I wanted to be a photographer and from that day to now I have never felt happier ... I absolutely love photography and taking pictures and couldn't imagine doing anything else.
