Decent experience, why? The service just didn't work out well to us. However, the food is noteworthy for its delicious and thumbs up for that. We had the baby back rib for dinner and as filled. Though we had to wait for it for more than 15 minutes still I think it was worth it. The side dishes were great, I love the mac n cheese and the fries, drinks were good too. Been eating here since the 70s. After the flood, they restored it to even better condition than before. Gone are the picnic tables and wagon wheels (lol) Now very “farmhouse modern” with plenty of seats, a new salad bar and even a real bar with barstool dining. We stopped in today for lunch. And we were lucky enough to be seated and our servers name is, Jessica. Jessica was an amazing young lady to was with very attentive. Dynamite. We had a nice lunch special, well to tell you it was so good I ordered some to go because I was not cooking tonight. Everything was delicious came out just as ordered... needless to say we will be back again and we will recommend this particular location to friends and family. It wad 845 and I new they closed at 9, so I went in to see if they would even serve us. Ms. Angela was welcoming, efficient and over the top amazing. I expect when it is closing time there is usually attitude but not here. She quickly sat us and served my family of 7. Being in the restaurant business myself I appreciate quality service. I was in a real mood for bbq and Sonny's sure came through. I ordered the baby back ribs with fries and Mac with garlic bread. The Mac n cheese and fries weren't the most memorable but they did compliment the savory ribs. My absolute favorite part was the appetizer... GET THE CORN NUGGETS (WITH THE SUGAR)! I would usually opt out for any extra sugar that's not needed but I wanted to get the whole experience since it was my first time, and boy do I regret it. Three of us went to Sonny's for lunch; it was great. New remodel is attractive and looks clean and modern. Staff were fast & efficient. Went to Sonny's because my daughter is home fron Mass. and she's been requesting BBQ for the past two days. Stopped here because it's close to home and was near what we had planned afterward. Food was pretty good. I just wished that the food coming ot fron the kitchen was warmer. Seemed to be cooked in the morning and kept in a warming oven or under a heat lamp. I understand, just wished that the meat war hot instead of semi warm. My daughter truly enjoyed her meal which I was happy about. Our waitress Natalee was great! Atmosphere and ambience was cool as well. Got a booth at the front of the restaurant! The price for both our meals was good too. I ordered a Sweet Carolina sandwich and switched out the pulled pork for pulled chicken with 1/2 sweet tea and 1/2 lemonade which was delicious. Will go again. More...
