We are so thankful to have had Richard from Something Borrowed helping us organise our Wedding Day on 4th May 2019. Right from the start Richard was friendly and honest. Richard arrange a time that suited us to visit and to give us all the information we needed. I was still in the process of looking for quotes so was nervous that he may be pushy or up-sell things. This didn’t happen at all. Richard was so friendly and honest, he immediately put me at ease and walked me through options without being pushy in the slightest. I could tell he was passionate not about making money but about making our day perfect for us. And that’s just what he did. He went out of his way to help us achieve everything we’d dreamt of at such an affordable price. We spoke to several companies and received several quotes but Richard was not only the most competitive but also the most helpful and personalised service. The day of our engagement party, we were yet to make a decision of which company to go with, Richard had remembered me briefly mentioning the party at our first meeting and messaged to wish us a wonderful day (so thoughtful and unexpected). When decorating our marquee Richard hung our bunting for us and provided clear wire and clips for us to hang decorations (completely free of charge!). He offered beautiful metal lanterns to light the path the the toilets (again, completely free of charge!) We’d hoped for nice weather for our May wedding but when we realised this wouldn’t happen Richard made an extra trip late at night to add heaters to the marquee for us. It’s these extra details that made the biggest difference to us, he really went above and beyond and we are so grateful for everything. Our day really wouldn’t have been the same without all of his hard work. I don’t think you’d find that sort of commitment anywhere else, so if you’re considering booking SBEH, do it! More...

We got married back in October, the colour that I had chose for our saches were sent in error fairly close to our wedding date, however despite this Richard and his team did the best they could to make it look absolutely stunning! They completed a whole beautiful room transformation in our local community centre & also added a stunning marquee / dance room in the garden for our wedding on 18. 08.18. Everything exceeded our expectations & we were overwhelmed by the transformation, as were all our guests & the centre staff!! We researched & met with several other similar event companies but none compared to the service offered by Something Borrowed. My wife Nicola and I would like give you a huge shout out and personal thank you to Richard, Amy and the rest of the team at Something Borrowed as everything for our wedding yesterday was just perfect. The layout for the ceremony was excellent: the barrel archway, lanterns and bows were spot on too. The castle barn looked epic once it was all prepared. So many intricate details throughout all parts of the venue as well which made the occasion as memorable as it should be. It also adds to it all that they have a wealth of experience and are very friendly so talked us through from the very beginning. Something borrowed done an amazing job on our wedding venue. We went for a rustic look with hessian and lace chair covers which looked beautiful.

Richard, Amy and their whole team were absolutely incredible. Our first meeting was in March and in such a short space of time, we managed to put together a plan of action of what my engagement was going to look like. Unlike other decor companies I had seen, Richard was attentive, not pushy and always got me what I wanted. He spoke to truth when putting ideas together, he knows his stuff. If there was something he couldn't get himself, he would make sure to contact someone and get it. His communication is excellent, always in the loop of everything. He made a rough looking community center look so stunning and if you look at the photos it really does look like another venue. His work is truly incredible! Would like to say a huge thank you to Richard and the team. Our venue was beautiful. They absolutely transformed our Reception venue, and it was everything I could have dreamed and more. Loved the starlight and the chair covers/ small details. The cake table's rose gold sequin cloth just added that perfet touch of wow! Everyone commented on how amazing the room looked. And how transformed this popular Saturday night venue was. He made it so we had no regerets on our wedding day to go with a more budget friendly place.
