We were going to be in the area and needed a place to undertake prayers. I called the community centre and spoke with Tom who was extremely polite and accomodating - he stated we were very welcome to use the premises and was very respectful. We met Phil on site who showed us a quiet room we could use. Thank you all at the community centre for being so respectful and understanding! More...

Dylan Gott riffing on the plastic baggie of money may have been the funniest impromptu comedy I've seen live, and Radu Isac's entire set was top notch. Soho Comedy Club's got a good thing going. More...

I went on Monday 27 of February. It was my first time ever going to a comedy club so I didn't know what to expect and I absolutely loved it! I live in holland but if I was a London local I would most definitely go every Monday night! Keep up the good work and I'll come back when I visit London again. More...

I regularly go to Seven Diald Club for tango dancing as this is tue venue for Thursday and Sunday Tango Terra.Seven Dials Club staff are amazing. Each one of the members are friendly, kind, generous and attentive. The place has nice wooden floor but there are a couple of holes temporarily patched with duck tape. So, you might want to look out for them if you are dancing on heels there.Other than that, everything is great. More...

My good friend Victoria knows that I am a big fan of proper humor and like to look on the bright side of life so she surprised me quite pleasantly by taking me to a stand up comedy show at this club. To be honest wasn't very familiar with the line up but nevertheless they made me laugh non-stop throughout the whole evening. The venue itself is inside a casino so it doesn't lack bars and restaurants. The staff was accommodating and made us feel really welcomed. More...

We called in at the Comedy Club on a spontaneous whim and it ended up being a brilliant night. Despite being the last ones in, we had great (and dangerous) front row seats. There was a rowdy and rude bunch of Hens in that night who were being disruptive to the comedians but they were well handled and discreetly removed by the staff with a huge round of applause from the audience. Good effort on that one guys!Great value for money and we were also given drinks vouchers for the casino cocktail bar. The bartender made me a Pomegranate and mango martini which was not on the menu - very impressed and to die for. Would definitely recommend. More...

We went a few weeks back and had a brilliant night! There was 6 of us and we turned up late and had to sit at the horrid front row. .. but I think it made it a better night in the end, all the acts were great! Drinks were a reasonable price and the end of the night we had half price drinks at the Icon bar. So overall a great and cheap night out in London which is often hard to find :) More...

I had a Fantastic time !! Everyone was really easy going, and approachable, the comedians, the public and the staff. The stage is small which is great as you remain very close to the comedians. Also, English isn't my first language and I thought I would not get some humour if related to the English culture / history/ media or some play on words, but the 3 guys who came on stage really really cracked me up!! So don't hesitate!! More...

I recently went to Soho comedy club in a group of 4 and I have to say we had a fantastic night. Not only was the comedy top notch, but the venue was excellent. Placed inside a casino, full of bars restaurants and friendly and polite members of staff, made the night in its in entirety, a 5 star event. As a northerner who felt a massive culture shock on first coming to London to be met with drinks prices at up to 3 times as much as I was previously accostomed to, I found the cost of both the tickets and drinks very reasonable. We were also provided with 2-4-1 drinks vouchers for the bar upstairs, which overlooks Leicester Square, with a scenic outdoor balcony, which was a nice end to the night. I will be going back very soon. More...

Q&As

Come on, I make people laugh for a living! What's not to like?

Progress as comedian depends on stage time. I started the club back when I was a new comedian as an open mic night so I could trade spots on my night for spots on other new comedian's nights. While I was progressing as a comedian in my own right, I also found that I was pretty good a running a comedy club too. So here I am 10 years later, a respected comedy club that books top notch comedians, over 200 TV credits to my name and I'm doing something I love. It seems like the decision to give up being a journalist covering wars was a good one.

Because we're good at what we do. I have a great crew behind me and we can get great comedians. Also, we're honest. We don't overcharge because it's slimy and we want (and get) repeat business.
