What do you love most about your job?
I love creating or improving gardens for future generations to enjoy, and making my customers happy through my job. I enjoy engaging with new people, and sharing ideas. I love designing gardens and open spaces, that will make a difference to individuals, families or communities.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've always loved being outdoors, and from a toddler I used to water plants, and when I was older start weeding and tidying up the garden. Then I started to appreciate the open green spaces around me, and where I lived in the countryside. I didn't like office work at all, but I found I was always happiest outdoors, usually in my own company. My family grew vegetables on a rented allotment where we lived. Then after leaving school, I went onto Hartpury college where I studied Horticulture, followed by the Malvern Show in 2006, which achieved silver-gilt. Then I studied landscape architecture at University of Gloucestershire. In the summer of 2010, I decided to set up own garden design and maintenance business from home, with the little money I had, no loans or funding, and slowly it grew, and continues to do so.
Why should our clients choose you?
I feel through my horticultural and landscape architecture expertise, I can offer a diverse range of skills, which covers all aspects of gardening and design, not many people specialise in both, whereas I do.
I can offer fair and competitive prices for design and maintenance jobs, as I do not have a team behind me to pay wages, the clients will only be dealing with me on one-to-one basis.
