Freddie was so great to learn from and work with. He taught us a lot of basics about dance (which we didn't know at all) and choreographed a dance for our wedding. Freddie was so fun to work with and we looked forward to dance lesson nights (and I'm not a person who loves to dance either). We learned a lot, we laughed, and the end product was great. SO many people commented on how they loved our dance and it was something we accomplished together. Freddie also DJ'd our wedding and did a great job and even taught the crowd some moves. It wasn't long after Sandy and I started dancing at Social Graces that we had a new "Dance family". Everyone is very friendly and eager to make sure that you have a great experience.
We both look forward to dance class and the social dances at the studio. I can't say enough good about it.

There is no better place to learn classic dancing and to be part of a community that loves to have fun. My daughter has danced here for the past 5 years starting at 14 years old. Freddie, Danielle, Chris and Ray gave us our start in Ballroom. Though we no longer live in northern Virginia, we continue to dance several times a week and continue to take lessons. We have not found any studio with such excellent instructors (including the Best Dance Teacher Ever!) who are as friendly and supportive as Social Graces' instructors. I thoroughly enjoy myself every time I go to Social Graces whether it is for private lessons, group lessons, social dances, and even the competitions. The studio is very friendly and family oriented. Through the private lessons, Freddie has helped me to become more confident in myself and encouraged me to get out there and dance even if it takes me asking the man to dance. How else am I going to build friendships and relationships unless I'm using my two left feet and stepping on toes? Which I must add has improved since I started taking lessons. The other instructors in the studio also create a vibrant positive attitude. If you are looking for a fun, nonjudgmental, family friendly place to bring out those boogie shoes, then you have found the place! Social Graces was recommended to my husband and I when we were looking for dance lessons so that we didn't look like complete idiots at our daughter's wedding. We had so much fun with the instructors and other people who take lessons and dance at Social Graces that we continued taking classes long after our daughter's wedding. If we hadn't moved back to Arizona, we would still be attending all their functions. I cannot tell you how special everyone of these people are. It's been a year since we left and we still miss them. I have been going to Social Graces Ballroom Dance Studio for about two years now, and I still love it very much. Having never learned formal dance in my youth, I was very intimidated and nervous on how I would do learning it as an adult. However, the environment and my personal experiences at Social Graces have proved to be very nurturing and accommodating. It is obvious that the curriculum was designed to meet the student at their level and progress comfortably through the levels. I have thoroughly enjoyed my lessons with all of the instructors and have found that all of them possess a great understanding for dance and dance instruction. I would recommend to all couples that "dance night" is an amazing way to get to know your partner better, and share a rewarding experience together.
