Winston (Socosalsa) was fantastic to work with. We agreed a plan for the entertainment and he was so helpful in achieving this.
On the day Winston went above and beyond to make the event go with a swing. All the guests enjoyed the great music and Winston carried on for longer than we planned, as so many people were enjoying themselves.

We required a DJ for an annual charity ball at Carrow Road where there were to be around 200 guests and after holding discussions with Winston at Socasalsa we decided to go ahead and book them for our 2022 event.
Throughout the whole process Winston from Socasala was extremely helpful, friendly and keen to gain an understanding of what we required at our event. Winston went above and beyond to ensure our charity ball went well an we had nothing put positive feedback from our guests.
Socasalsa had exactly the equipment, knowledge and expertise needed to help make the event a success. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a professional, helpful and friendly DJ to help out with your event.

Winston and his team did an excellent job as DJ and MC for our Jubilee Picnic. They worked hard to compile a very suitable range of music with a fifties vibe and kept us well entertained for the afternoon.

New Year’s Eve looked like it was going to be a downbeat and sorry affair this year with the restrictions we were under. No mixing of households meant the usual fun gatherings had to be shelved for more sedate celebrations. Socasalsa’s New Year’s Eve Zoom party, however, made sure there was still plenty of fun to be shared together from our own homes as we greeted 2021 with music, dancing and laughter. The tunes were lively and non-stop, covering a range of genres and tempos to keep all of us on our feet and moving. Always great to attend a salsa Monday evening. Very enjoyable dance classes and something there for every level of experience.
The music is great and the spirit is high. Wonderful people uplifting beats.

We had a fundraising day at Tesco Beccles for Diabetes UK, The British Heart Foundation & Cancer Research.
I contacted them to see if they could attend the day and do a bit of dance to entertain our customers and nothing was to much for them. Socasalsa ran the whole day for us with music, dancing and all with such fun and enthusiasm. They Played a huge part in helping us to raise £896 for our charities. Thank you so much

What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
Socasalsa aims to keep your party dancing through a variety of ways which includes:-
i) Pre-planning to fully understand your needs and those of party goers.
ii) Travel with back-up software and computers to reduce risks of prolonged delay in event of equipment mal-function
iii) Working with you to establish a good party mood from the outset and during your event and
iv) Lastly but not least, playing a good range and balance of of music from thumping sounds to quieter tracks to suit the age range and ability of your party goers so that they stay with you right to the end of your party.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
We apply a professional all inclusive outlook, focused on you, your guests/party goers and our desire for entertainment and enjoyment. Our style centres on active two way engagement initially with you, extension to party goers on the day and flexing during your event to delivery and maintain an exciting atmosphere/ environment.
What do you love most about your job?
There are many aspect of our dance and music service which I and Socosalsa helpers thoroughly enjoy. The key ones are :
i) a sense of being honoured that you have appoached Socasalsa for planning and entertainment at your party/ function.
ii) being privileged to be in a position where we can offer you a choice to extend your party/ or music beyond the norm,

What inspired you to start your own business?
I was born in the Caribbean where music and fun dancing came naturally to me. From an early age, I often accompanied relatives who either organised, helped with organisation or played music at functions including "blues parties".
Much much further down the line, I started to attended and enjoyed classes. This continued over many years and subsequently decided to learn more formally and to take an examination in dance teaching. I restarted attending dance classes after this but also found myself regularly meeting up at a friends house where a small group of of us went over what we had learnt in class at a slower pace and as a more social activity. It was at these gathering that my friend s encouraged me to turn our sessions into a full class and to open it up locally to others with me as the teacher.
Playing music was an integral part of running Socasalsa dance classes. I then decided to exploreplaying music from a DJ pespective and just as I had done with dancing, to ground my skills by completeing formal training courses in DJing.
The experience and training on both the dance and DJing fronts opened my eyes to different techniques and inspired me to share what I had learnt in a more professional, cost effective yet enjoyable way and so the current Socasalsa Service package was born.
