Fantastic florist. I would recommend to my family and friends. I originally went to a florist that was close to me with a 4 star rating which turned out to be disappointing to say the least. I found snap dragon online. The store is very professional and up to date. My experience with the owner was amazing. She knew exactly what I was looking for and how to arrange it. This flower shop and gift store is absolutely stunning! I had the most positive experience here during my visit to West Philly. I purchased several cards and spoke with a gentleman and woman for a solid 20 minutes about books, the neighborhood and other topics I don't remember, but I'm smiling while I try to remember. I definitely recommend going to this store and sharing a little bit of your life with the people who work here, they'll share back. :) I hope this shop is thriving when I'm back in West Philly next. What do you love most about your job?
I love the day to day of owning a flower shop. But the best part of the job for me is working creatively with wedding and event clients. I enjoy the planning and of course the designing. As a florist and fine artist/ designer the thrill of inventing new florals to fit a diverse array of clientele is amazing. But more importantly making my clients special days feel etherial is even more of a thrill.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I had worked for wedding florists and decided it was time for me to branch out on my own. My fine arts/designer background was calling me to design arrangements I did not see in the wedding world for prices that were within reach for the couples I was seeing. I wanted the idea of flowers to not be just a luxury item. And so I began designing relevant designs that were obtainable to my customers, many of whom were young couples.
