Unbelievable service that was friendly, timely and great food provided for my daughters wedding reception party!
We chose The Smile to host our (very small) reception dinner following our wedding. As out of towners, we were not able to taste the food or see the space until our event. The Smile knocked it out of the park. Every guest had so many wonderful things to say about the food (DELICIOUS) and the service (AMAZING) ... our servers especially worked so hard to deliver a seamless, stress free, special event for us and it made for such a memorable night. The space was lovely with romantic candlelight and an intimate setting for our 23 guests. It was absolutely perfect. Thank you for being the spot that will hold so many lovely memories for years to come. Can't wait to come back and visit next time we are in the city. More...
More...
Great place for meet ups.. I will definitely go back..
Wonderful food, service and ambience! A beautiful find below street level and now a favourite of mine in NYC! Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back one day soon!
To everyone saying Smile to Go is expensive... where have you been buying your market plates Please tell me, because I always thought 3 big servings of veggie sides was very reasonably priced, but maybe I am living in a luxury vegetable bubble. This location is much bigger than their original outpost on Howard St, but lacks the same charm. That said, the food quality is up to par -- I looove all their market sides, as well as the rice krispie, the bone broth, and the pear/manouri cheese sandwich (the sandwiches, however, I do agree are overpriced). I don't even think it's really fair to compare Smile to Go to Dig Inn -- Smile has more inventive flavors, updates their menu more often, and I feel also gives larger servings of veggies. I've also ordered from them on Seamless, but do find that the serving sizes tend to be a bit bigger if you order in person. More...
Some of the nicest (but not pushy or fake) staff at any coffee-adjacent place in the city. Coffee is above par and the atmosphere is very "I'm on my lunch break from my start-up office in SOHO". Imagine if a really good Panera bread was run by one of the chefs from Munchies on Vice. More...
Amazing! I took my boyfriend's parents (who were out of town) here and it was the perfect NYC restaurant. The atmosphere, service, food, everything was so good. The portions were perfect sizes, not too small/big. I would 100% recommend this place. More...
This is a beautiful and unique place with down to earth professional service. With all the lack of professionalism in NYC, these staff are good role models and leaders in the industry. At a place some might consider ever so slightly upscale, I never got a bad vibe from the staff. They were professional to the books but also could smile, be attentive and take a hint. I expected it to have more of a romantic vibe, but instead found it to have turned into kind of like an after work hangout for middle-aged people who weren't necessarily dressed to be in sync with the ambiance of the place. Delicious but prices could be a bit lower - great concept and easily overtake Dig Inn, just need to worry about the customers wallet a bit more :)
Perfect spot for brunch. Cozy. Great food. Friendly attentive staff. We had the ideal Mother’s Day brunch !
I need to remember to go to The Smile more often! I had the salmon last night and it was done PERFECTLY! If all salmon was cooked that wonderfully, I would eat it every day! It was flavorful, spice-ful without being spicy and done to a turn - moist, delicious! The bed of English peas are not my favorite but the salmon made up for it and thank goodness the peas were done al dente. The food here is consistently good - I just wish they would turn down the music!! It is SO hard to have to yell at your dinner companion and then everyone else has to yell over the other diners' yelling. This is not unique to The Smile - it's everywhere and I wish they would all stop. More...
Very cute . Friendly wait staff. Really good food. We really enjoyed our whole experience here . I will definitely be back
a small but hearty menu with options for everyone. food was really delicious
Excellent spot for a cozy dinner with friends. Nice menu with very pleasant service. Highly recommended
Food was fantastic. The brisket was the best I’ve ever had. Service was absent. There’s nothing like constantly thinking “where is the server” and having to be ‘that guy’ asking whoever walks by to find our server.
A great atmosphere but weirdly chilly, given the grotto like decor. The beet and lentil salad was excellent.
Great food and atmosphere at The Smile. Portion size was great and choices for every one. Definitely one to go back to again!
Perfect place, very good food, not too noisy, reasonable price, charming.
I had high expectations, but it was better than my expectations! so so good! The food was delicious, service was good, atmosphere was very sweet. I loved it.
The Smile is the rare combination of having the charm of a beloved, cool, locals only spot, reliably delicious, cozy, with chill but attentive service, but dynamic and fresh, with a changing seasonal menu and hip crowd, that always finds new ways to surprise and delight whoever I meet for lunch or dinner here. Also don't sleep on the desserts here. All around great scene! More...
Cozy restaurant; food was excellent. Wanted to try everything on the menu. Great value too. Would easily eat here 5 times in a week. Very comfortable and relaxing restaurant. More...
Enjoyed this meal very much! The wine is a little pricey by the glass but the meal was wonderful.
Cozy and delicious.
Great atmosphere, cozy, good food and drinks.
Always love The Smile!
Felt very welcome, staff was fantastic! ..................... Well this is asking me to write at least 50 characters which is rather silly ........
This was our second time at The Smile, after stumbling across it during a shopping run. Won’t be our last. Charming, good food, nice staff. ‘Our kind of place’, my wife said (more than once). A gem. More...
Beautiful ambience and incredible food! Lovely hidden spot
The cheese apps are amazing. The beef entree also delish. They make wonderful cocktails too. It can get a bit loud though.
Coffee is bold and silky rich! The Moroccan pancakes are delicious! They're light, fluffy and work well with the peach compote! I also recommend the market plates, specifically the beets and chicken. Service is also great. More...
Love this spot. It should be on Resy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Adrienne, our server, was so sweet and attentive! Give her a raise!
I guess one of the most major deterrents would be the price(broke college student #yolo), but I agree that the food is way overpriced.I enjoyed my sandwiches from Smile to Go on two separate occasions. The first time I came here, it was just opened. A lot of things I wanted to try from the sandwich menu was unavailable, until I settled for a Manouri Cheese & Pear Sandwich, which was light and filling. On another occasion, I found that STG is on the Ritual app so I decided to get a Rotisserie Chicken Salad Sandwich. It was light and filling as well, but the ciabatta was tough to chew. Overall, I found both sandwiches to be tasty, very flavorful, and satisfying. More...
Best vibe. Great food.
Wonderful little dinner at the Smile! Ordered the pickled veggies app, salmon and rotisserie chicken entrees..... delicious! Very neighborhood-y place. Wonderful atmosphere in an adorable setting. Would definitely recommend!! More...
Although the menu was quite limited for entrees, the food was expertly prepared and delicious. The 3 course dinner priced at $30 was an outstanding value. We’ll be back!
Fantastic food and beautiful locale, but unfortunately poor service (our waitress was unfriendly and inattentive). Despite this, I would return!
One of our favorite restaurants in the city! There are options for every type of diet. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, unlike many other spots in the city. The food is delicious, and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend! More...
Great round table. Nice atmosphere. Easy to talk to other diners at my table. Food was good and service very attentive.
Great option for a small group of girlfriends before a night out. Tasty food great for sharing.
Thank you to Smile to Go for making me become obsessed with Matcha. If you're a matcha fan try their oat milk matcha latte (hot) it's so creamy and the perfect balance of matcha and oat milk (they have oatly). I think $6 for a small is pricey but obviously I am still willing to pay it because, delicious. They have really good looking sweets/desserts too! More...
Very cozy atmosphere, attentive and helpful service, and really good food. Would definitely go back any time I'm in the neighborhood.
Service is usually on point and most importantly, fast. I always came here for my coffee in the morning during my two week stay in NYC. The iced oat latte is great. Gabrielle is awesome and super friendly! It was a fantastic stop in the morning. More...
So happy this spot opened near my work. The chicken salad sandwich!!! I'm addicted. And the best part is, you can buy half sandwiches. Not the cheapest spot but hey, it's nyc. If you want cheap, there are $1 slices across the street. More...
Friendly and prompt staff, nice ambience, and a healthy menu make for a great brunch location — be it a special occasion or casual dining experience.
Great coffee, food, service and people watching!

Hard to resist stoping by after a good training session at Five Points Academy! Great food!
I seriously love this place, this is exactly what type of small businesses we need!!!
Friendly, smiley and nice... That's the staff at this cozy little spot. A welcome change from the usual unfriendly, jaded and indifferent staff at most places I walk into around the Manhattan and Brooklyn. Guess what? The food and coffee are pretty damn tasty too! Definitely worth a visit. More...

When in NYC , staying at 11 Howard hotel and Smile to go is in front
So every morning I go there and pick up my latte , a very good one , my organic banana muffin and a freshly squeezed orange juice
Great crowd too
We found The Smile one day when looking for a good pre-theatre place and have returned many times since. The veggie options are GREAT; the serving people are competent and accommodating; and although the restaurant is not huge there are good seating options. The main thing is: the food is terrific - original and tasty. More...
Amazingly fresh food!! The counter attendees are also so pleasant and welcoming. Food choices always have a wide variety to appeal to many different tastes.
Food is consistently tasty and service is very good. We come here often.
The food and ambiance were great! The AC was not working, which was very uncomfortable after a long meal.
Fun and casual for friends
Very attentive service. I was here on a date and I was very pleased. Adorable rustic decor! The food was delicious. Decided to skip the meat options. We did primarily seafood and veggies. The cocktails were consistent and well made. I had friends pop in last minute and the restaurant was very accommodating. I would definitely come here again! More...
We ordered a lot, shared everything, loved everything. Also, they use paper straws instead of plastic ones, which made our environmentally conscious group very, very happy.Good selection of veggie and meat dishes. More...
My family and I chose The Smile for a special occasion, to meet my future wife’s parents. It was a lovely experience. The service was friendly and quick and respectful. The food was absolutely delicious, although the portions are a little small for the price but did not take away from how much we enjoyed it. Delicious! I would recommend The Smile for a special occasion and for fantastic wine. Highly recommend! More...
Food was amazing. Fresh squeezed juice was refreshing. Will definitely be back!
Overpriced, but I really enjoyed the food and the service.I had an asparagus salad... the kitchen left the woody ends on a couple of pieces, but the salad was great otherwise. They have Diet Coke, and (really) the staff were just great. More...
We loved everything about this hidden gem. It reminded us of the old Greenwich Village we knew. Stone foundation wall, small but uncluttered place. Generous drinks, friendly, professional server, shortish menu with plenty of tasty choices. We ate too much! Big, juicy mussels in delicious white wine sauce, crunchy mezzo platter with great dips, crusty bread, generous spicy lamb meatballs, and brisket over yogurt and currant couscous. Should we have had dessert? No way! But the ice cream was to die for. We are looking for a reason to go back! More...
Great service and food! Really fun ambiance!
The Freehand Hotel is filling up with all kinds of cool stuff, and this grab and go addition is perfect for a quick, relatively healthy lunch if you don't have time to sit and dine at Studio. I went with the rotisserie chicken with one side, and while at $15 it was pretty pricey for lunch, the portion was HUGE. I'm talking a half chicken, nicely roasted, with an enormous pile of their roasted eggplant. The ordering was a little confusing because I asked the lady if I could just get the chicken with one side, and she said yes, but she really just meant that they would double the portion of my one selection, and still charge me for the same amount as if I ordered two. So not exactly what I was going for, but it was a tasty lunch and easily enough for two light eaters. They also have sandwich selections (I like that you can order a 1/2 size), as well as little snacks and baked goods that use unique ingredients... I know I'll have a hard time resisting those in the future. The line moves quickly and there's some seats if you want to stay for your meal, though it seems like most people take it to go. Fast, easy, fresh, and interesting - a great combo for lunch in my opinion! More...
The newest location just opened in the Freehand Hotel, officially making this one of the best hotels in NYC for food, joining Simon & The Whale, Studio and Broken Shaker. They have those same excellent cookies and pastries as at other locations, plus lots of great breakfast and lunch options. Definitely try the Black Seed Bagels Bacon, Egg & Cheese ($7) and the Moroccan Pancakes ($9). More...
Great dining in a romantic and cozy setting. Get the table by the window for ambiance!
Really friendly staff, unpretentious vibe, and the food and drinks are consistently great. You're on Bond St., so it is predictably slightly overpriced, but it's still one of the best spots in Noho. I highly recommend for both lunch and dinner! More...
Came to The Smile for brunch to celebrate my sons graduation from NYU. Food was delicious as always.
I love this restaurant. It's a little sanctuary within the city. Always lovely and delicious!
We went for a weekday brunch. Love this place. Great avocado toast!
Love this place. Great food and rustic atmosphere. Does get quite noisy when large groups are dining.
We tried Smile on the recommendation from a friend. Wonderful, fun night, with friends. All the appetizers are delicious, especially the cheese dishes. The pasta for the dinner portion was amazing. Amazing spot - don't miss if your'e in the area More...
It was a very nice dinner, however the restaurant was about 90 degrees. It made for an uncomfortable experience.
Love the quiet hidden gem this is... such a great vibe. Get a seat by the fireplace.
I am not a vegetarian, but the vegetable dishes were so good, I didn't need anything else!
I have been going to The Smile for many years, its a local neighbourhood restaurant that never fails to deliver consistently good meals, in a cozy environment with great friendly staff. The food is always fresh and delicious. Perfect for a date night, or with friends. More...
We decided to have my wife's post-birthday breakfast here at The Smile and I was glad we did. The spot itself looks cozy and inviting from the outside and doesn't change upon entering. The space was beautiful! Reminded me of an 1800's general store! The brick, stone, iron and copper aesthetics work well together with the lighting and overall feel of the space. The food offerings were plentiful and good. From the baked goods to the main courses there wasn't a shortage of things to choose from! Most of us at the table ordered something different and we were all impressed with what we received! So much that we shared our meals with each other! All in all, I would highly recommend this place for breakfast and good conversations. We will definitely go back to The Smile when visiting NY! More...
Delicious lamb meatball appetizer!
I like the atmosphere of this restaurant, though it was a bit loud on Saturday night. The food is always good, but I wish they had a bigger selection on the menu. The service was fine. Overall, it is a restaurant I will frequent when in the area. More...
What a treasure! Found this restaurant thanks to Open Table and my friends and I will definitely return. The food was great, service was friendly and ambiance was lovely.
The food is delicious! Lots of great, fresh flavors. I was pleasantly surprised. Staff is very knowledgeable and service is great.
Food was good- definitely enjoyed the in house pastries. Ambiance is cool, and reasonably priced brunch , no frills would definitely go back
The Smile is a lovely place for a fun or romantic dinner, with a old downtown feel. The short menu is seasonal and delicious. Don’t necessarily take the waitress’s advice on wine. “ Funky” was definitely... funky. Charming service, not too rushed. More...
Cute restaurant .The food was good.A bit noisy for the older generation.Very vibrant and a good place 30 yr olds. Great service from Ariel!
The Staff was amazing and super accommodating. The food was excellent I would definitely recommend the SMILE to my friends and family
The Smile is a great little NOHO surprise. Everything tastes amazing!! PRO TIP: the Spaghetti in Lemon Sauce tastes AMAZING, but the serving size is wildly small for an entree. If you're HUNGRAY, I'd go with the Pork Loin or Braised Brisket. As an end game, GET THE GELATO. Enjoy! More...
They were out of warm spiced cider and bourbon and the warm brownie, which, given how cold it is outside, I would think would be stocked up. I was sad to miss both of those.
We spent new years eve, the place is beautifull, the hostest are friendly and respectfull, we had a special menú, but includes fish, meat and pasta, the dissert was an awesome lemmon cheescake. Dont miss it
The food we had was very good, especially the brisket, delicious !!!!My only comment was that the dessert was not good at all! Especially the chocolate dessert!I regretted i oedered it :( More...
New Year’s Eve
Food was good but the portions were ridiculously small. The waitstaff was very nice and helpful. Good atmosphere and location.
Charming cafe-looking restaurant with some great food options. All simply prepared but interesting, and on the healthy side.
Housed in an 1830s townhouse, The Smile is a cozy place for wine or cocktails, along with delicious Mediterranean-inspired treats.
great food, friendly staff and cosy environment where it's not loud (which is so rare in NY...) so you can actually enjoy a good chat with friends!
Nice ambience. Food was good. Music fit my taste, classic rock and motown mostly 60's, and was not too loud. Very pleasant dining experience.
Great food, great atmosphere and very reasonable pricing!
We had an absolutely wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. The food and atmosphere were fantastic and the "family style" service made it feel like we were at home. We decided to have Thanksgiving here after I had attended a FEED supper in Dumbo in September and learned that THE SMILE donated all food and drink and services for this amazing charitable supper; my partner and I had dinner on Bond Street once since then and knew it was perfect for Thanksgiving with his Mother. I wish I knew about THE SMILE before, we are often in NoHo and did not know it was there. We will definitely now be regulars! (At a previous dinner on Bond Street, I was so happy to see large and small plates, including very healthy and vegetarian and vegan options (for when I am being "good" but my partner can eat whatever they please!) and know that I can trust the food preparation for friends with dietary restrictions. They even had Thanksgiving vegetarian and vegan options!). LOVE this place! (FYI: There are a few steps down to the restaurant; my beau's 86 year-old-mother was able to navigate this just fine, but good to know re: anyone who needs an accessible entrance.) More...
Beautiful restaurant, love the cozy basement vibe and the seasonal menu.
Pleasant cozy restaurant. Nice food and friendly staff. Would definitely come here again.
Loved everything about The Smile. The food, the service, the low-key atmosphere felt very comfortable. All made my husband and I smile.
the food was really amazing but the service was average. One of the waiters kept bumping into my chair, without even apologizing. And the noise level was really hard to bear. More...
Charming, relatively quiet, welcoming staff and amazing food. Good value. We’ll be back.
A charming atmosphere, rustic, old bricks, not so loud, you can actually talk here, and the food was interesting and yummy.
Great food and atmosphere. Would highly recommend. Can't wait to go back!
We had a family get together at The Smile on a Saturday night. The place is warm and welcoming, and we tried a bit of everything. The appetizers and salads were delicious, especially the melon, grapefruit, pistachio and feta salad. Our dinners ranged from salmon to hanger steak, and it was all great. The duck breast with the soy-honey gastrique stole the show. Uncharacteristically, I polished mine off and didn't share a single bite! The desserts (banana toffee tart and peach-blueberry galette) were terrific, too. More...
The place is super charming: it feels like a secret spot - quiet, intimate, cozy, and cool. I would gladly return to eat some more of the amazing food. The steak, chicken and duck were all perfectly cooked and very delicious. Service was incredibly friendly. This place won't burn a hole in your pocket but it's not exactly cheap either... that's the only fault I can find. More...
Great good, bad service. I've heard from multiple people the same thing - so they should work on improving their service.
The waitress was wonderful! The ambience in the restaurant was charming. I'm looking forward to returning.
The best thing about the ambiance at The Smile is that the tables aren't so close together, so you don't have to look at the cell phone images of the adjacent diners. Service is OK--a bit perfunctory, but everything got done appropriately. The food was very good (we had hanger steak and duck, both on the rare side but delicious). Things went smoothly, which can only be good at a restaurant. More...
We had an awesome dinner! The food was seriously perfect. Really healthy menu, with a unique and super flavorful twist. From a salmon tartar and cooked twist to start, to an amazing kale and bean salad with the most yummy dressing, to a chicken dish that was off the charts, cooked to perfection and so tasty, duck and farro dish that was one of a kind, and a salmon dish so good! You may think I am the owners relative- i'm not. But I am a brand founder, of an oral care brand GLO, and I know that when someone has a real experience and they share it, that feels so good. Also so fitting the name, the smile, as that is what we bring to our customers that GLO.:-) This restaurant deserves this review. The atmosphere is perfect, chill, authentic, cozy, not overdone. The people that work there are real. They are chill, smart, efficient and caring. Its a 10+. try it, you wont be sorry More...
Excellent food and service. Service was great. I eat a special diet and the staff advised me me well in my choices. I would return and recommend to others. Thank you.
Loved it! Went because we saw the restaurant in "Master of None" and weren't disappointed.
Never noticed this place, which is tucked in down a few stairs in a part-basement, until we saw it on Open Table. The menu looked inviting, so we booked, and what a delight! The marinated goat cheese salad left me smiling even the next day ... pun not intended. The service was friendly and top notch; the entire experience was memorable and, yes, leaves one smiling. More...
Charming, cozy space for dinner. Friendly, prompt service. I recommend the Marinated Goat Cheese for an appetizer and the Plum Boulevardier for a cocktail. Seasonal vegetables and quinoa is good if you want a healthy entrée, but I'm really looking forward to trying the salmon next time I come. Highly recommend! More...
Came to The Smile for Mother's Day and it was fabulous! We were seated at our favorite table, all the way in the back by the garden windows. The ambiance is perfect and quaint, like being in someone's beautiful living room. The food was stellar. Great time! More...
Great cozy restaurant! Historic, downstairs from Mapplethorpe studio
We had a wonderful dinner, the food was amazing. The noise acoustics in the back of the restaurant were deafening...there were three of four very loud tables of people screaming over each other talking. Otherwise, it was a perfectly lovely dinner. We will most certainly be back. More...
Love the Smile, even though we had to sit right by the door this time, which was a little annoying. The yummy food and great drinks more than made up for it!
Nice for an early dinner. Everything was delicious though the portions were a bit small.
A wonderful environment for a romantic meal or catching up with friends. Brunch is also great here!
Despite the very limited menu, the food was very good especially the brisket. The artic char was kind of tasteless when I tried my taste of it. The 3 purees with the veggie were all delicious and the plate itself was abundant. And the bread. Enough said. More...
I always love the Smile. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, it never disappoints. The staff is super friendly - we stayed for hours hanging out.
Really delicious food. Just had an issue with an incredibly bad tempered waiter. Apart from that it was a great experience. Would definitely go again.
Me and my girlfriend have been here twice for dinner, and both times it was excellent. The second time around, we were late for our reservations due to train complications. The hostess was extremely polite and accommodating on the phone and in person. Once we arrived, we were seated and the waitress was good. The food came to the table fast, and was incredible. It has a cozy atmosphere, with a generally small interior. Overall, the place was great, and we'll definitely be returning. More...
Great food and amazing decor. Definitely a must try. Our forst server wasn't very nuce but overall great experience.
Pretty and surprising location. Nice decor. The wine was excellent as we could taste a very limited edition bottle. My chicoree salad was mixed with fennel and...chili and a sour sauce, not really my taste and the lamb meatballs were ok. My friends tried a wonderful fish as starter and some excellent brisket afterwards. Maybe I made the wrong choices. More...
always a pleasure to dine at The Smile. The name is perfectly fitting, I always leave with a full stomach and smile, thank you!
Great find. Cozy, comfy, great for breakfast, lunch, small bites and dinner. Good food, good taste, good staff and good value.
Always the best---my favorite and never disappoints. The new menu is sensational--I was nervous because it's been my go-to for so long for certain dishes. The lamb chops (new) were exquisite and there are still a few faves on there for the old school Smile lovers. Service is always attentive and the servers are very knowledgeable about the menu and wine which is a real plus. More...
This restaurant has been open for six years, and I am flogging myself for not going there sooner. We sampled five different dishes, and one was better than the next! Highly recommended. Staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. I am looking forward to going back as soon as possible! Totally exceeded all expectations. This place is really a gem! This is my first review on OpenTable, so please take that as an indication of how incredible this place is! More...
Accesible menu and fantastic vibe. Chic and chill.
great ambiance, amazing food and chill atmosphere. We loved our dining experience. Also very healthy!
Cozy, warm, pleasnt ambiance... great value for healthful tasty food
I love The Smile. It is in an area where it is hard to find low key relaxing good food. They have a small menu but everything I have had from there is delicious. I would definitely recommend it to others. The place is also just very inviting and comfortable. More...
Food was delicious and the atmosphere was wonderfully warm and cozy. Price was a bit high for an everyday meal though. Definitely worth a stop to treat yourself.
I went here expecting a great meal but they were out of everything that I wanted on the menu and the service was just mediocre.
Never disappoints. I have been a fan since the day they opened and everyone I take there leaves a convert.
We really enjoyed the Smile - it was cozy and warm, the service was pleasant and the food was really good. It wasn't too noisy like a lot of other spots and we could actually talk and had some privacy. Will definitely go back.
The Smile was the perfect restaurant for a cold night in Manhattan. The restaurant is warm and cozy and the food was delicious and moderately priced. We shared an appetizer and entree and it ended up being the perfect amount of food for the two of us. More...
Manager was very accommodating, knowledgeable, and kind. Food was impeccable and the service was good. We had a wonderful evening at The Smile.
Extremely cozy, especially if you can nab a corner. It’s quiet enough to have a conversation without trying or ask your waiter about the art on the walls, but far from being unlively. And then there’s the goat cheese, which balances cheese base and flavor like Piano Renzo balances structure and flourish. More...
Such s great place . Hadn't been in awhile and it was nice to return . Unpretentious , casual with authentic and delicious food!
Amazing food! One of my favorite places to eat in NYC

Loved the triple dip. Many thanks to all! More...
Smile To Go should be on your "must visit several times" list. Located on Howard Street off Canal, this eatery is open early for breakfast (imagine an egg sandwich with Gruyère, ham and caramelized onions). Lunch promises an appetizing display of organic salads, more sandwiches, rotisserie chicken and exciting riffs on assorted vegetables that one can eat there if you can grab the few seats available or sit on the benches outside. The chicken salad sandwich with argula and cranberries is chock full of flavor as is the filling quinoa salad with almonds, pecans and shiitake. What I like most are the scones, muffins and cookies. A few are vegan but the rest are made the good old fashioned way with butter, sugar and magic! For a long time I would go for an iced coffee and then ponder which cookie to have. It was always a toss up between the chocolate chip with sea salt sprinkled on top that is absolutely scrumptious or the addictive peanut butter and jelly. Why couldn't I just buy both? Smile To Go is fairly expensive and so getting one was better. The next time I could buy the other. Recommended! More...
Delicious farm-to-table cuisine in a lovely, rustic setting. This was my second time here and I'll be back many times to come!
This place is a gem. We stumbled across this restaurant on our first visit to NYC. We had to go back. It is delightful inside with a perfectly perfect ambiance for an intimate meal. This restaurant means a great deal to us. We will always dine there when we go to NYC. Excellent food, great lighting, cozy and romantic. We flew from Atlantic Canada to eat here. More...
The menu is short... not too many choices, but maybe that's for the best. The chef can concentrate on doing a few things great, rather than many things good. We had a late lunch and then came to the Smile for dinner before a broadway show, and ordered a couple of appetizers to share. The trio of dips was fantastic and so was the tuna. Our boys ordered the chicken which looked fabulous, and our daughter ordered the spaghetti which she said was really good. We enjoyed the ambiance and our waitress was very attentive. We would go back if we lived in NY! More...
Other than our server seeming a tad... How to describe it... impatient? annoyed? Inconvenienced by us? (I don't know, maybe she was just quiet and focused.)... it was a perfect experience. [She was never outright rude, far from it. Just cold by comparison to the warm welcome we got from other staff.]The food was amazing! Lamb meatballs, marinated goat cheese, brisket, bread & olives, we had a smorgasbord! It came out quickly and was all just delicious.Coming here is a Canada Day for my friends and me: we see the early show at Joe's Pub and come straight to The Smile. Can't wait to do it again next year... so I'll find a way to come back before then. More...
The goat's cheese and cauliflower gratin were outstanding. Fantastic food, great decor and attentive staff. Best restaurant we've been to in months.
My date had the Balsamic Chicken and I had the brisket. Both were phenomenal and appropriately portioned. It was a little louder than what would be welcome but the ambiance was perfect for a date. Came here on a friend's recommendation and would do so again. More...
The food ordered seemed interesting from the menu. Upon delivery it proved disappointing. The pasta with butter sauteed ramp "sauce" turned out to be lacking in flavor and was quite bland. The sauteed greens were cooked to perfection but their extreme oiliness took most of the pleasure of eating them away. The server was polite and competent but inattentive, probably due to having too many tables to service. The restaurant is below street level and hard to find, a situation not assisted by the discreet signage. On the whole, an average establishment. More...
a healthy cute neighborhood option. A few tables outside on the tiny lower-stoop deck. very 'locavore' and farm-to-table vibe. Limited menu but the items we tried were generally good although oversalted. More...
We arrived earlier than we thought we would. We were seated and not at all rushed. The menu is limited but quite good. As we sat the place became quite full with a predominantly younger clientele. The menu lends itself to small plates. They will charge you for bread and olives. More...
This place is magnificent. My wife's favorite. We just went there for mother's day and it came through. I was blown away by the steak and eggs and the Salty Dog.
Charming interior, interesting seasonal offerings, can get a little cramped but overall a great spot.
Delicious dinner and very reasonable for the neighborhood. Highly recommended!
Have probably reviewed this before. Was introduced to this place about a year ago from a vegetarian friend. I'm not a vegetarian but the menu options work well for those of us who have vegetarian friends. The other night I had the cauliflower crumble which was delicious and the lemon cream pasta which was also delicious with fresh mint gelato for dessert. Two friends in from San Francisco who are vegetarians also very impressed with their meals. Just a chill little neighborhood place - great for post yoga dinner and drinks! More...
The Smile certainly makes you smile and for us it had a lot to do with Kyle, the very lovely manager. She was super friendly, helpful and great at recommending good gins. Thank you Kyle and hopefully see you soon! More...
Was such a unique and enjoyable experience - As it was my Girl friends Birthday afternoon - we had a memorable time
The Smile feels like a friendly neighborhood spot, very homey. Friendly staff, albeit getting a table without a reservation can be a bit of a hassle, and wait estimates unreliable. Reservations highly recommended. The menu is fresh, simple, and fairly priced. The only downside I would have is it can be quite warm inside.... wear layers! More...
Delicious brisket. Definitely going back.
As always, really delicious food and perfect service. 10/10. Thank you!
My wife and I went here for Valentine's Day. The food is was Greek/Mediterranean and the wine list matched. I had the beef and it was cooked to perfection. The whipped parsnips underneath didn't even taste like parsnips, but a creme anglaise instead. My wife had lamb meatballs with couscous and they were splendid. The Greek red wine was unique and paired perfectly with our meal. For dessert we had the molten chocolate cake with vanilla gelatto. I would have preferred ice cream, but the cake was a beautiful dark chocolate treat and a perfect ending to our meal. The only reason the place earned a 3 on the service was because the kitchen lost our ticket and our meal was very late coming out. But, as mentioned above, it was done very well and not cold at all. Otherwise, the wait staff and maître d'hotel were gracious and professional. More...
Baked eggs and avocado was excellent
Black Seed bagels were a great touch to the bottomless coffee. Awesome!
Really warm feeling inside , great service, nice cocktails and relatively straight-foward american and mediterranean menu. Will definitely be coming back again soon. More...
I love the look and feel of this place and the food was terrific. I had a reservation for 2 (dinner) and when we were seated there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. About a half hour into our meal the place was packed and we found our seats were in the not so quiet section. I spent the next hour plus trying desperately to hear my dinner date, the noise level was SO high. I noticed a quieter area in the back and was curious how making a reservation a week ahead of time did not get me a better table. Now I know to ask for a quieter area in the back. I would definitely go back though and have recommended this place to many. If you want to hear your friends talking, try to get a seat in the back. More...
I love this place and there needs to be more restaurants like it that offer clean, healthy delicious and reasonably priced meals
I would come back in a heartbeat -- everything we tried was great (I really loved the meatballs and the brussels sprouts). The server also told us when we had ordered enough (and it was the right amount, which I was really grateful for). I feel like often I can't necessarily trust those recommendations. More...
We really enjoyed The Smile. Love Bond Street. Will come back for sure. Love what Carlos has done. We were a large group at the back table. Everyone enjoyed.
There's just nothing not to like! Excellent food, creative menu, good wine list & drinks. Desserts are off the charts. Cozy atmosphere, great service and attention to detail. My go-to restaurant.
Food is delicious. Atmosphere casual and nice. Really great servers, funny, efficient. Great find!
I love the food, very healthy. The place is cool and the people are beautiful and fancy.
Great food, generally great service. We had to ask for air conditioning to be turned off in the back (it was pretty cold sat underneath). Also the server seemed keen to finish her shift ASAP, fair enough it was Oct 31st so she probably had a Halloween party to get to, but still... One other thing - please give a steak knife to the person who ordered steak! More...
I had input a few requests into open table (to have two glasses of prosecco and my request of dessert) since it was my boyfriend's bday and I wanted to make it special for him. The restaurant did everything to a T. They gave us an awesome corner table which was intimate yet also full of energy which provided a wonderful ambiance. Drinks were brought within minutes of sitting down, the birthday boy was surprised by this as well as the dessert that came out without us asking (which I requested in my open table notes). It was the best feeling to know he enjoyed the exceptional service. I have always loved this restaurant but the execution, food prep and service last night put me over the edge and I can confidently say, this is my favorite restaurant in the city. Hands down. Thank you! More...
Made a reservation here on a Friday night, we were seated immediately. The appetizer lamb meatballs were really good, the olives and bread were fine, nothing special. The quinoa with a fried egg was very good, and the pesto pasta was good but nothing amazing. The margaritas were weird tasting, hardly resembled margaritas. There wasn't any beer on tap, which was a let down. Who wants to go to a restaurant for beer in a can? So overall, a fine night, but I was expecting a bit better. More...
Nice ambiance, great lunch menu. Service was quick and efficient. Love the salads and servings are perfect portions . Very relaxing atmosphere
Loved this place. The food was amazing. Highly recommend the quinoa lentil bowl and the baked sweet potato with whipped feta was literally one of the best things I've ever eaten!
We came here on a recommendation from a NYC local, and he was spot on! The seating was cozy (we sat at the bar stools over the stairs in the middle) and the music was so much fun! Brought me back to the 90s which was fun to hear and talk about. Everyone was so chill here... the basil lemonade and Mimosas were great and the baked eggs were to die for! What a cool spot! We will definitely go back on our next visit!! More...
Excellent food with a tasty drink menuHighly recommended
Having only just moved to NYC from the west coast, I feel like this is the restaurant I have been looking for since I arrived! My mom was in town for a visit so I chose this place on the recommendation of a friend for a small family dinner. Our waitress was extremely nice and the food was absolutely incredible. Everything we ordered was amazing and my mom said it was the best meal she had the entire time. Everyone else said it was their new favorite place and they haven't stopped talking about the food! The music wasn't blaring so you could actually hear one another across the table and the interior is gorgeous. There's even a little place in front to sit and have a drink outside. Put this place on your list! More...
Very good food, gentle staff. Ordered a burrata - among the best I ever had (love burrata). My arctic char was very good as the pasta of my companion. I came back home with a smile in the soul: will return. More...
This place... Always the place
The Smile is a gem of a restaurant. The quaint atmosphere lends itself to a very enjoyable dining experience with bubbly servers and piping hot food served with flare. And the food is absolutely delicious. I will return every time I'm in the City. More...
I made a last minute reservation for an early Friday evening dinner with two great friends to spend time catching up after a few months apart. Upon arriving, two of us were seated at our table even though we were early (planned to wait and grab a drink at the bar). We ordered drinks from the attentive server and were enjoying watching the service team prepare for the evening - changing menus, setting the room and checking tables. My third guest arrived right on time and we procured a lovely basil-infused non-alcoholic drink for her! We asked the server some questions as to the favorites and best dishes to enjoy family style and settled on the lamb meatballs (the larger order to enjoy the bread and couscous that accompanied), the marinated goat cheese and the kale salad. Every dish was full of flavors, prepared expertly and thoroughly enjoyed. The entrees soon arrived - lamb shoulder and the flank steak - which were both large portions and we were all glad to be sharing! The lamb shoulder was so tender and full of flavors and the flank steak was equally as delightful. The atmosphere was energetic with large and small tables enjoying their time and dishes. The staff were friendly and engaged just enough to let us know they were there, but not so overly attentive that we felt the were hovering - the perfect attentive service that makes for a great evening. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dinner at a reasonable price in this area. American/Mediterranean cuisine at it's best! More...
Had a great time, food always, good - but noise level is intense at night and the air conditioners could not cool down space during NYC heat wave. Everyone was sweating!
It is a cute place for seasonal and local eats! It was a bit dark inside, but it was a cool menu with ingredients from local farms and seasonal fruits/veggies!
Equally matched by delicious food and great service. Highly recommend.
Food was great, location was great, and atmosphere was great. What more could you want?My go to spot for meeting up with Friends
Once a month me an my best friend get together for a nice dinner. Our main criteria is always great ambiance, and a "foodie" yet healthy style menu. The Smile has not become our favorite spot in the city for that reason. More...
I would recommend THE SMILE to anyone who likes good, I mean GREAT, food in a low-key atmosphere. The only thing missing the night we went was air conditioning. Otherwise, it was a 5-star dining experience. Highlights, the marinated goat cheese and the meatballs w/cous-cous. More...
Service was really nice, trying to accomodate us (large group) the best they could. Really appreciated it !
The Smile restaurant is a sort of charming place in the basement of an old-time buildingon an old-time cobbled street. But there is something missing. As much as we arenotified that they use farm foods and so on, there is a lack of real attention to the menusand the food is lack lustre. The healthier ingredients do not guarantee a good dish. I did have a most delicious oatmeal breakfast there one day. Just delightful, served with attentionand all very pleasant . However having diner there two times left an empty feeling. Sorryto say this, because I had wanted to really like this place. They need something to bringa tasty sparkle to the place. And I hope they will do this. More...
Love this place!
European style ambiance, the food is the classical american food but with a twist. I would definetely recommend this place for a group or romantic brunch.
Simple and to the point, but in a way that feels special.
Our first time here after seeing a show at the nearby Public Theater. Enter a few steps down into a cozy, warm space. We had a table in an alcove, which gave a nice sense of space. Our server was very friendly and helpful - I couldn't decide between two wines and she offered me a taste of both. Prices are really reasonable. The large serving of brisket was delicious, although I couldn't discern the 'melted dates and onions"; the pistacios in the couscous were a nice touch. The generous branzino fillets were nicely roasted, remaining meaty and moist. Order some veggies on the side to round out your meal. More...
Cute, small selection of items, prices are odd..ok on entrees, but sides @ $6 & bread with olives @ $8 just seems off.
I and a friend came here for a birthday dinner before seeing a show. We chose the restaurant, of which neither of us had heard before, based on its proximity to the Public Theatre and its menu on Google, which seemed more our speed, less expensive and more casual. It was my friends birthday and the waitress actually brought us warm brownies with a candle at no charge. It was very lovely. Staff was attentive, prices were reasonable and the food was great. Drinks were better! More...
I took my girlfriend to The Smile for our Valentines Day dinner and was immediately impressed by the uniquely rustic appearance of the restaurant. In addition to the great ambiance, the food was excellent. We started our meal with the Steak Tartare, which was very tender and seasoned perfectly. We also enjoyed the Moroccan Lamb Meatballs, which came in a bright tomato sauce with two pieces of bread. For our entrees, we had the Balsamic Chicken and the Beef Brisket, both of which were cooked perfectly. All in all, our experience at The Smile was top notch. We will definitely be returning to The Smile to try some of their other dishes. More...
Really enjoyed the ambiance and rustic feel of the all-wood, classic restaurant. The food was well thought out and very solid portions. Will definitely go back!
We really enjoyed our dinner experience at The Smile. The food was the right size and tasty. There were 4 in our party who all became satisfied customers.
good with a group of friends that were ok having smaller separate convos rather than a table-wide one - we had the most private table in the place and it was still loud. Food was good - stanrd proteins but nice sides and cooked well More...
I love The Smile - never disappointed by the food or atmosphere. The service was a little slow this particular time but it was fine since we had no where to be :)
The Smile is a unique and charming restaurant that brings a smile to your face. The food is inventive and delicious. The service is very good. It is quite small and intimate but it was also bustling. Just a very happy experience! More...

We had a lovely evening! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great! It was cozy and warm. I loved the quinoa bowl with squash and egg!
This is just the most delicious ambiance, quite literally the coziest restaurant in NYC. Loved their Stawberry Fields cocktail with Thai chili infused vodka. Seasonal menu is great too - got the kale salad and plum cake. More...
Tucked away a few steps below street level, you’ll find The Smile, a hybrid general store and cafe; however, no one goes to shop; they go to eat in the artfully rustic atmosphere. With the music low and the tone conversational, this dimly lit, wood-ceilinged space emits a charming and tavernesque feel that is perfect for a meal with friends, family or a date. In addition, this ‘straunt is great for GF and vegetarian foodies! The food was just amazing - the corn alone is worth the visit!! The service was great. The only downside was that by the time we left, we had to SCREAM to be heard - just ruins a dinner for me. I don't understand why restaurants cultivate that. It did make us leave faster so maybe that explains it. More...
Wow! Really great food and a fun, young staff. My two friends and I split the plum crostini and marinated goat cheese to start. Then we all shared the mussels, lamb meatball entree, and arugula and roasted tomato salad. We were so thrilled with the whole meal and completely stuffed! More...
Great service, great food my only complaint was the temperature but it was an insanely hot day. Their cocktails were delicious.
Love love the dips & the brisket! This restaurant is always on my hit list to go to when in NYC
We had a very good meal here. Good service and food. My plum crostini was well prepared and the ricotta fresh and delicious. It is a manhattan restaurant with a very Brooklyn vibe and was a fun place for a girls dinner out. More...
My first dining experience at The Smile was delicious. I had the tomato salad and arctic char and both absolutely divine. Fresh and lovely. Did not love our seating....in back against wall....tiny and cramped.....but that can easily be improved on our next visit. ha. Highly recommend. And I've heard their brunch is amazing! Cannot wait to try it. More...
Such great food. The desserts took a long time to appear but were very worth the wait.
First time I went to the smile and didn't get disappointed. People are extremely friendly and make you feel at home immediately. Super nice food!
Cute rustic, romantic vibe here. Good selection of appetizers and entrees - the menus has a good selection of seasonal vegetable items as well, which is nice. Specialty drinks are tasty, wine portions are pretty small. The only thing I've had here that I wouldn't oder again was the Tartare, which was a bit mealy and tasteless. More...
Delightfully rustic! Service was lovely and food was delicious. The old fashioned was, too, quite marvelous. Absolutely recommend!
What a gem! Great coffee beverages. And although the menu is small, nothing disappointed. Will definitely be back.
Collard green salad is wonderful. Sausage in the orrecciette special was the best sausage I've ever had.
Very nice restaurant with good service. Good price-quality ratio. Nice portions, only too much ' gelato' for dessert but that's a minor detail.
My date and I loved it. Everything from the wine to the entrées and following coffee was on point. Quite noisey but it added to the energy of the place.
small and tight in space BUT food was big in flavor. drink selection was so-so.
Quite possibly the best restaurant experience I've had in New York City. We were greeted warmly by the hostess, our server was prompt and attentive, and the menu is phenomenal. The minted sugar snap peas and the trio of dips are something I could eat every night. The entrees and wine list are thoughtfully chosen, and the vibe is great. Highly recommended. So good in fact, that I would go back - in a city with more restaurants than anyone can possibly try in a lifetime. More...
Charming, vibrant restaurant scene with great menu! Loved the brussel sprouts! We asked for a quiet table in the corner and got one where we could converse and see the bustling crowd. I definitely recommend this neighborhood jewel! More...
This was a fantastic place to eat. And we really enjoyed our dining experience. The entrees were delicious. My pork chop was cooked nearly rare and you could really enjoy the sweet meat complimented by the house made apple sauce. Our one complaint with the food was that the entrees were meat heavy with little vegetable matter on the plate. Had we not ordered the additional salad the whole meal would have been almost exclusively meat. Still a huge fan though and can't wait for our next visit. More...
Highly recommend The Smile! I actually visited twice in ten days! And everyone must try the cauliflower crumble, it's so so so delicious!
Scrumptious! Although all the food was outstanding, I will dream of this cake until I return.
We went here for Valentines. It's one of the few places that had last minute openings. It is very cute and cozy inside. Food was very good. We had the cauliflower crostini, lamb meatballs and the pork chop and all was very tasty. More...
great comfort good, love the rustic interior. service is sometimes not so attentive, but that's ok, goes with the laid-back vibe.

The Smile has always been my go to for a dim lit lovely atmosphere which includes wonderful cocktails and healthy hearty food
Rustic and super romantic. Had a great date night here!

I frequently pickup lunch at Smile ToGo on Howard St in Soho, & was eager to checkout the original SMILE location for dinner. I was not dissapointed! Adorable atmosphere, GREAT food at great prices, & the same kind of friendly, fun staff I encounter at Smile ToGo. One staff member was even kind enough to chase me & my boyfriend down the street (in 10 degree weather!) because we'd forgotten our umbrella! Will definetly be back!PS- The fantastic cocktail menu was the highlight for me... Tried 4 different ones & each was a hit! More...
My third time dining at The Smile was on New Year's Eve. And it was great as the times before.
Came here for New Year's Eve dinner with my boyfriend. We got there at 6pm so there wasn't a big crowd. Ambience was nice & the food was good. I would go back again!
Wonderful neighborhood establishment that is always bustling (make a reservation!) and has tremendous food. Service is always a little ambivalent/lacking, but the food and the downright charming atmosphere always make up for it. (i.e. Service is par level, not subpar, but is outshined by the rest of the experience.)Try it. You'll like it. More...

The place is warm and inviting. The wait staff is friendly. The bread is crunchy yet soft and chewy. The lamb meatballs are to die for. Add to that great company and you're guaranteed the perfect Sunday dinner. I am definitely coming back. More...
Having seen a matinee at the Public, we wanted to catch up with old friends. The Smile was the perfect place--two of us had an amazing combo of squash, cranberry beans, ricotta and an egg on top as the entree, while another had the brisket, and a third a pasta dish--we all relished every morsel, and I want to try to make the squash dish at home. The salads and starters were also fresh and tasty, and we finished it off with some sort of luscious banana concoction for dessert. But what really made our evening was the fact that the noise level was moderate enough that we could hear each other without yelling, despite the fact that the place was, deservedly, packed. It was the happy end of a perfect day for us. More...
Although we had to wait for an hour for a table (in spite of having a reservation), we left, well, with a Smile on our faces. The place is super cute and the food was delicious. We were given cocktails and appetizers on the house to apologize for the wait, which was a nice touch. The baked goat cheese and the trio of dips were amazing. Then, we ordered the balsamic chicken, the spaghetti with lime cream, the cookie platter and the warm brownie, all of which were great, too. The staff was very nice and friendly. More...
The Smile has great ambiance, trendy fashion-y crowd but not in an obnoxious way. The waitress was friendly and helpful, and the service very relaxed (we didn't feel rushed at all even tho it was crowded). Good for small groups of friends or a romantic date night. The menu was rather limited; the appetizers were more interesting than the few entrees. Overall the food was mediocre. Meatballs were fine but nothing special, brisket was bland and dry. I'd go back for a drink and snack, or give it a try for brunch or lunch some time but would prob skip dinner. The best part is def location, cool decor and cozy vibe. More...
Loved a The Smile! Food was great and atmosphere is cozy/terrific. Highly recommend!!!

Great atmosphere and excellent food. Truly enjoyable dining experience. Great place to go with small groups of friends. You will want to make a repeat visit.
This was an awesome find and I can't wait to go back. The portions are great and the lemon butter spaghetti was to die for. The staff was very friendly btw. All around great find in a inconspicuous spot. More...

The Smile is a neighbourhood gem, even if you aren't from the 'Hood. We had a wonderful dinner , and thoroughly enjoyed the very inviting ambience. The service was attentive, thoughtful but not obtrusive. We will definitely be back at The Smile. More...
Loved the cozy vibe at The Smile. Lit candles light the way of the stairway down to The Smile that I loved and the chocolate and brie baguette was amazing! I would go back just for that :) So happy I found this spot right in my neighborhood. More...
Atmosphere was nice - dark and warm...like being below deck of an old schooner. The table was nicely located @ the front window but only big enough and set for 2 despite the fact that we made our reso for 3. Not big deal in the scheme of things but everything is in the details, isn't it? 3 of us shared 9 dishes and all were wonderful minus the undercooked fava bean crostini and the dried out, tired mussels. Standouts were the kale salad, goat cheese, shrimp succotash and moroccan meatballs. The cocktails were delicious - especially "The French". Service was prompt, low-key and friendly. Overall a nice experience and we will definitely return and try more. More...
What a gorgeous place, we loved the ambience, although it was a little noisy due to a large group seated near us. We enjoyed the food, drinks, and the service was good too! Would recommend this place for a special night out. More...
Good ambiance, great menu and fine service made this an excellent spot for a date.
Very solid all around -- good service, good food, very accommodating. It's pretty dark though, which gave my parents (in their 60s) some trouble reading the menu. Noise level increased throughout the evening, to be expected. By 9:30pm it was pretty loud. But, nothing you wouldn't expect at a place in NoHo.Definitely recommend! I hear their brunch is awesome too More...
Stumbled upon this small restaurant in NoHo. Delicious food, clean, fresh and interesting.
The Smile was a great neighborhood find, both for the food and the ambiance. A great sub-terrenean, rustic dining room, a nice seasonal menu of locally-sourced, mostly organic dishes. Service was a bit standoff-ish, but adequate. More...
Tasted several appetizers and salads, enjoyed the main courses and desserts. Menu choices were small, but varied and very interesting. We would go again. More...
The Smile is an amazing spot to dine. The food is great and the prices are reasonable. Ambiance is ideal New York. Perfect for a date, dining with friends, or visiting New York.
Cannot think of anything bad to say about the Smile. The vibe is perfect, it's such a great date spot, and the food is just so, so good.
this was my second visit to The Smile, and once again I was pleased by everything. The service is very pleasant and accommodating, and the room is really lovely. Started with the kale salad, which was great, followed by some tasty mussels. Ate and drank alot, and bill was fairly reasonable. Will go back again soon. More...

We love the Smile. It's a cozy, comfortable spot with a great rotating menu. We've very much enjoyed the food every time we've gone, both for dinner and for brunch. And it's quite romantic too!
This place was super charming and cool. They've managed to create a cozy atmosphere that is anything but cramped. Genius. Lots of great veggie options, even for omnivores, and creative overall cuisine. I will definitely go back!!
