TL:DR, Don't believe the hype with smartsites. Mediocre seo strategy, a culture of no accountability and high costs for poor to no results.

I was duped by the great reviews on smartsites. We entered into a contract for managed PPC and SEO. Right away there were a few red flags, but I thought since they have such great reviews let's give them a little time. First bad decision.
The PPC 'team' could not figure out a very basic FB pixel issue. Over 6 weeks of back and forth for a minor problem that turned out not to be a problem at all! They were supposed to fix the campaign structure. This never got done. They used the same setup that was already there. They did not even change any audience structure.
Every time you bring up an issue to these guys they say, 'let me check with my team'. I heard that more than 10 times. By the way they are outsourcing all work overseas. This wouldn't be a bad thing if they got results.
The strategy from the SEO 'team' was very basic. No creativity at all. Each time I raised concerns, again I was met with 'let me check with my team and get back to you'. It would take at least a week to get back to me.
Overall our traffic dropped more than 50% in the time they took over.
Smartsites charges block time starting at $2000 for 40 hours / per month. When I tried to cancel and get my last payment refunded due to the fact there is no way possible they did 40 hours of work, they fought to the death.
All in all we paid them $7500 over the course of 3 months to lose us a ton of money and cause a lot of damage.
I wish they would have worked on our account half as hard as they fought to not give us any type of refund.
The owners Alex and Mike would never reply to any of my emails. It appears that the culture of no accountability starts at the top. More...

Between God and I, and of the truth, I have referred more than 8 persons within a space of 4 weeks to my legit and trusted Account Manager, MRS.
