A wonderful place to go for cupcakes and more. Each time I go the two women, who run the shop are very friendly and helpful in describing each of the great variety of baked goods offered. I can tell they really care about helping their customers choose the treat they will enjoy most. I never feel rushed when making my selection, which is a rarity in today’s service industry. When you walk into Smallcakes the first time, and get a whiff of the freshly baked goods you instantly fall in love with the store. They got it all from cakes, to cupcakes, to ice cream, you'll be dreaming about Smallcakes all day! My boyfriend and I went in just too check it out since we had never been there before & we were blown away. The price for a cupcake seems a bit much but once you see the size of the cupcake, the price totally makes sense. I tried a classic strawberry cupcake and I have never tasted anything like it. It was so moist and rich with flavor, and I believe the frosting was buttercream which is my favorite. As a long time customer of Steins Bakery (since I was 2), I thought I'd never come across a place that was just as good. And it was purely by accident too. Frosting was SOOO good and the cake part (whatever u call it) was SOOO fresh, it just melted in my mouth like soup. It was like Campbells opened up a bakery. But there was more: they had ICE CREAM (dang it). So since three cupcakes wasnt NEARLY enough (hadn't eaten in 9 hours so work with me here) and there was still PLENTY of room for 2000 more calories, I acquiesced. It was also incredibly good. Thirty minutes later, as I rolled out to the car, I knew I'd be back, and I have been four times (he says with pride). One very noticeable thing right when you walk in, though, is that it is immaculately clean. Yes, even the bathroom. Hey, it could be a barn, but if that bathroom's clean, I'm pretty sure I'm  not seeing my food again in 30 minutes. Yes, a long review but thorough, and these guys deserve it. Incredibly nice owner ("Ann" or "Ann Marie", something like that) who has been there every time I've gone, too, which tells you something right there. And you'd think someone who is would be HUGE, but shes not. Just a normal physique, which is not only puzzling but annoying. I think her kids work there too. Keep up the great work guys. The girl at the counter today was very friendly and kind. Younger I think reddish hair? I've never seen her before but I appreciated her help. I come here maybe once a month for the last few months. The cupcakes are really good, if you're looking for outlandish cupcakes this isn't the spot for you. I usually get a strawberry cupcake or a cookie with fudge icing. I love this place. My favorite is the red velvet cupcake. I was a little disappointed today when I went to get the ice cream smash that I seen someone post. The staff is nice, I guess. The menu is confusing.  I asked for a special flavor combo for my mother-in-law. They immediately had an answer. I was impressed. This is NOT for a Sprinkles customer. These are actually small cakes not cupcake size.I ordered a dozen of German chocolate cupcakes for a Office party. They were so moist and flavorful. These cupcakes were huge!! The frosting was creamy and not too rich which was great.
