We stayed in the Blanca tower. Single king bed. The room is recently update and really cute! The hotel is under construction/renovation, so it's a little bit of a pain to get around. It's at the end of the strip so there not a lot of people in the lobby which was nice. There are a couple restaurants in the lobby all are clean and decent. When they are done renovating it will be really nice inside. More...

My wife and I stayed in the Alexandria building - "Iconic Room" (formerly the Global Tower) in Oct. 2019.  The room was awesome.  Sparking bathroom that had a double head walk in shower with "peekaboo" window (I.e.: side facing the bedroom area had a glass window panel which had drape for an option to cover).  Separate bathroom from everything else too.  Bedroom had long couch sprawling across the outside facing wall, little table and nice vanity with desk my wife liked using.  Espresso maker was huge for starting a day out in Vegas.  It was easy to use as well.  Mirrors on ceiling and every wall was interesting.Upon checking in just before 1 am on a Saturday was easy and guy was super friendly and helpful.  We asked for a room with a view which he said wasn't available, but that he could use one that was opening up the following night.  As we weren't going to be in the room that much and were there only 2 nights, we later changed our minds on switching rooms but thought the option was a great gesture.  The adult only pool was great, super friendly bartender that helped to attend to the pool in addition to making drinks.  Had really cool view of Stratosphere and was fun seeing people bungee jump off it and see the roller coaster type ride.  Cute girls there, but not really the European optional representation one would have hoped for. Did a small bit of gambling and the cashier and girl on the floor were super helpful in helping out a novice like myself.  The casino and grounds I find beautiful and up to date.  Little bit of construction left off to the side of a common area, but it appears to be close to done.  This is on the north end of the strip, but I don't care - I don't really want pandemonium around me 24/7.  I found the room rates fair.  The monorail is on the grounds, comes every 7-10 minutes or so and can take you to the south end of the strip within 15 minutes of boarding.  Went to Uno Mas for Sunday afternoon football and they had nice drink specials going - I believe food specials were going too on a couple items but not 100% sure.  The bartender was friendly and he made super tasty drinks that weren't weak.  Corona girls (hot!) were there too and we got free T-shirts!Checked out through my TV for the first time ever and got an itemized bill come up on the screen - it was simple to do too.Only turnoffs were: 1.  no late check out - they didn't even ask what room I was in nor were they sympathetic really. Just immediate rejection. 2. Picked up wine during happy hour at the high end restaurant on site  (can't remember name) to take on the strip. We are no wine experts, but it seemed a little off. We know we got the cheap wine, but come on.Not huge deals, but that's the difference between a 5 star level.I would prefer to come stay here next time if they keep up the good work.  Really enjoyed their ambiance and service. The coffee area with the market on the first floor very good, the taco place is my favorite and is a must and the margaritas were excellent. The other restaurant next to the taco was very good too we tried different dishes and they were all good. The downside is a far walking to the strip but same time no noises from the crowd of the strip. You also have the metro mover but with a charge, we used it but we like to walk and see places. ‍♀️ overall it was great I was very impressed. More...

Our dear friend is moving to Florida , and wanted to have his friends get together . He chose Umami at the SLS. He had about 30-35 people saying yes to his invitation , but as you know this can't be counted on . As people began to show up , our waitress Mandy , and the restaurant manager were more than friendly and accommodating . As time went on over 40 people showed up , and Mandy was our only waitress. I've got to give major KUDOS to this girl!!! She was awesome , and believe me she ran her ass off taking care of the party . She did get help from the manager and kitchen server . All in all we had a great time . Mandy kept a smile on her face and never showed signs of frustration, impatience , or exhaustion . She kicked ass ! Thank you Mandy , and the staff at Umami for making our farewell party fun and running smooth . The food was awesome, and it was a good time for all. More...

I also like the casino area isn't OVERLY packed and it doesn't reek of cigarette smoke when you walk in. I am in love with the chill pool party vibe they have going on daily for guests. The DJ is amazing! The beds are super comfortable, as are the pillows. The room is really clean and the bathroom is sparkling! Everything you want when you book a room. I would definitely stay here again! It's nice that the hotel is still on the Strip, however, towards the end so you don't deal with a ton of traffic or people trying to get in and out of the parking garage. The SLS used to be The Sahara.  They renamed it SLS in 2014 but the branding didn't catch on, so now they are renaming it back to the Sahara at the end of August 2019.  Not a bad place to stay, it's located on the far north end of the Strip (near the Stratosphere), so I recommend buying a multiple day pass for the monorail to travel up and down the Strip.  There's a monorail station right behind the hotel.I arrived early and wanted to see if I could get an early check-in.  My reserved room in one of the other towers wasn't ready yet, but for a $15 upgrade per day, they could get me into a slightly larger room in a different tower.  They waived the early check-in fee that many places in Vegas charge, so I took them up on the offer.I stayed in the World Tower and it wasn't too bad. The decor was weird, but the bed was comfortable and the room was clean.  I got extra towels, extra shampoo, etc. whenever I requested them.  The common areas of the hotel/casino were quite up to date and nice looking.  My room was quiet, customer service was awesome, and it only took about 5 minutes to checkin and checkout.  Plenty of decent restaurant choices within the hotel to choose from, but nothing over the top. They have at least two pools that I managed to find, and each one had a bar.  The Foxtail pool is quite large, but is usually packed full of people and a lot of kids.  The Grand Pool is located on the fourth floor of the Grand Tower and is 21+ only.  It's a smaller pool, but it doesn't get crowded and hey, they allow "European (topless) Sunbathing" (AKA scenic views if you know what I mean).  ***BE AWARE*** The bar adds a 5% service charge and a 15% gratuity automatically, without telling you!  And, no, this was not a party of six.  I spent a total of $53.87 for 6 domestic bottles of beer.  Each of these pools are only open from 9am to 7pm. Kinda lame for Vegas, if you ask me.  The third pool is the Retro Pool but it was already closed for the season. It's open to all ages but the hours for it are 10a to 6p and only Fri-Sun.Pro-Tip - sign up for their casino "player card" for free, and get $5 for being a guest at the hotel, $5 for showing them your monorail pass, and an extra $5 if it's your birthday.  Gambling doesn't really thrill me (don't ask why I chose to go to Vegas then), so we just used this free money to play the slots. And we actually won a couple of bucks.I'd stay here again since it's less expensive than the places on the center strip, but be aware of the charges at the pool, and that you won't be located in the center of all the action.  You'll have to travel back and forth via monorail (which was very convenient and quick).Pro Tips:Free ParkingEnterprise car rental onsite for those day excursions you may want to take. This hotel is definitely in an awkward spot on The Strip. It's a decent place but it's surrounded by tacky tourist shops and Circus Circus, which in my option should have been demolished years ago. I think Resort World construction will bring SLS the foot traffic it deserves. I love the pool with its striped disposition because it reminds me of the 1920's. I also love that it's connected to The W Hotel that has an incredible lobby. The newer parts of this hotel are swanky and I can't wait to see what they do with the rest of it. More...

I finally got to check out Umami...I love me a boutique boujie burger and they've been on my list for a bit...Umami Service & Ambiance:  The decor is sports influenced nascar (? ) influenced as evident by the hanging football helmets and the checkered flag ceiling.  There's plenty of booths and tables in the open main dining area.  Flat screens are hung throughout the resto. The hostess at the front was very friendly as she directed my friend and I up the handicap access ramp.  Our server was friendly but it looks like they were understaffed as we didn't really see her through our visit.  She was making her rounds and trying her best it appearedUmami Burgers+: We started off with the duck fat cauliflower and it was the perfect flavorful light appetizer.  This is a very creative dish.  The Yelp bff went with the Sam's Crispy Chicken and it was juicy and savory.  Truffle everywhere as I went with the truffle Burger & the truffle fries.  The thin truffle fries were on point and tasty.  This was a fantastic truffle burger: truffled aioli + truffled cheese + truffle glaze.  As much as I want to try a new burger on the next visit, I feel like I'm going to order this again.  Severe first world foodie problems.I have a feeling I'll be back here when the NFL season starts.  There's plenty of monitors, beers on tap and burgers I want to try.  See ya at the bar, cheers! We stayed in the Grand Tower so this review is solely for that. Checking in was a little confusing as at first we saw no signs for the Grand Tower and/or valet. We checked in at the main lobby and was told there was a separate check in for Grand Tower. Once we got over there, everything went very smoothly and the staff was efficient. All the decor in the hallways and elevators has dark interior which I really liked. The room wasn't the most modern, but it didn't bother me. There was also a blood stain on the curtain walking into the bathroom.... eh a bit scary! But the comfortable bed and the shower made up for it!! Also, the robes provided are SO soft and it feels like your body is in the clouds. The shower I took was the best shower of my life. There are two shower heads and plenty of room and it feels like a rainstorm. The LED lighting in the bathroom & room is also excellent. It was very quiet too and I did not hear a peep out of anyone next door or above me. There is also a pool only available to people staying in the Grand Tower! It was really nice. I would definitely stay here again. More...

Stayed at the SLS for one night in a Grand Deluxe King in the Grand Tower. So far, probably my best hotel experience in Vegas (previously stayed at Planet Hollywood and Rio). The only reason I'm knocking off a star is because the curtain in our room that closed off the bathroom area had a pretty large bloodstain on it. It was obviously not fresh or we would have gotten the heck out of that room..but it was noticeable and pretty gross. Just replace the curtain! Nobody wants to see that. Anyway, here all of the positives/reasons for 4 stars:-Separate entrance and check-in for Grand Tower-Complimentary valet (I didn't even have to go to a valet desk, front desk took care of it)-Free early check-in and the kind employee who checked us in got us a room on a high floor with a strip view -Private pool for Grand Tower guests which was pretty relaxed (Euro-style sunbathing too)-Comfortable bed with great bedding- I slept as well as I do at home, if not better. Love the soft headboard. -Best shower I've ever experienced in a hotel- two shower heads, amazing water pressure-Plenty of outlets-Plenty of space for two high-maintenance girls to spread out all their make up and get ready-Make-up mirror included in the room-Complimentary fluffy robes -Pretty quiet- this was probably the best part! We did have a corner room, so only one neighbor, but I loved that the Grand Tower does NOT have a casino in it. For me, it made for a more relaxed and luxurious stay. -Easy access to the monorail -Short wall to other buildings at the SLS No, it's not close to the main part of the strip..but the monorail is RIGHT THERE and such a cheap and convenient transportation option. I would definitely stay there again in the Grand Tower. More...

The mirror in the bathroom is large and the lighting is great, they also have a "closet" in there that allows you to hang clothes and store stuff in drawers. There's a safe in the restroom as well. The shower is large and has two shower heads which was nice! As for the casino, it's much smaller than other hotels on the strip which I actually preferred. It wasn't very crowded over the weekend I stayed there. There's a cafe/deli that sells sandwiches, coffee and other breakfast essentials and I really enjoyed their coffee there! All in all, it's a pretty nice place!
