Slightly Unusual provided magical entertainment for my 50th Birthday.Craig was wonderful to deal with throughout the planning stages. On the day of the party they arrived early to set up and were extremely pleasant and organised.My guests ranged in age from 9 to 96 years. The humour that accompanied the magic was absolutely 'spot on' for all my guests.They mingled with my guests as they arrived delighting them with magic. Once we were sat down for dinner they circulated to every table baffling us with wonderful illusions. Slightly Unusual were awesome. They were definitely the right choice of entertainers for our event. The balance of close up magic and the illusion show was perfect. We booked Slightly Unusual for our wedding after reading all the great reviews and watching past performances online, from day one to the day of our wedding they kept in touch with us and we found that very reassuring, on the day itself they were superb entertaining the guests after the ceremony and during wedding breakfast, the illusionist show they put on was fantastic, we loved the way they interacted with the audience combining humour with amazing feats of magic, everyone I spoke to said they were amazing, we wanted to give our guests something to remember the day and they certainly delivered!

Thanks to Craig for performing magic at my daughter's wedding. He was awesome and the guests had something to talk about for days afterwards. He wandered amongst the guests as they drank champagne and enjoyed canapes and did table top magic during the wedding breakfast, gifting the happy couple with the result of a magic trick performed especially for them. I booked Slightly Unusual to perform close up magic at my husbands 60th birthday dinner. We had hired a house on the Yorkshire coast and had taken 20 friends there to party. We decided we would need an entertainer for the main event.

I had shopped around and got an idea of the cost but once I contacted SU I quickly liked the way they responded, I got a personal call from Craig after emailing questions to him. I had to pay a deposit up front via their website and the remainder 14 days before the event.

Simon was the magician asked to perform at our event and he arrived early so he had chance to check the venue out etc. Once introduced to our friends he did some amazing close up magic to small groups of us whilst we had a pre dinner drinks session. Our friends were both delighted and amazed. Once we sat down he left us to have dinner and once finished he did some audience participation tricks which were really fun. He is very amusing, friendly and professional. I would have no hesitation in recommending him or others working under the "Slightly Unusual" banner.

Craig and Russ came to entertain our wedding guests and I have to say that these guys were absolutely outstanding! Their manipulation of cards, coins and rope is jaw dropping and they deliver every routine with 100% energy and commitment! It was so satisfying to hear gasps, laughter and applause from our wedding guests throughout their time with us. The slightly unusual team made our day so memorable. I was apprehensive at first thinking this is something “unusual” (mind the pun) and never seen this before at an Asian wedding. Craig’s own words were “this show will have the wow factor”…and you know... what it did! Loved every moment of it from start to finish and catered for all audiences from the little ones right to the elders. Many of my friends came to me after the event asking for their contact details and tbh a part of me was going to say this was there last act and they will be moving abroad but out of good spirit I did. These guys are absolutley superb!!! True proffesionalism from the initial contact to the event itself. I can't recommend Slightly Unusual highly enough. We had Russell as our magician at our wedding, fantastic act!!! He had us and all our guests amazed all night long. So good was he, that our guests didn't notice that music I had spent days loading onto an mp3 player, couldn't be heard because of a malfunctioning amplifier.

Russ was a very warm, friendly person who went to great lengths to include everybody in his magic, especially the young kids.

I will be booking Slightly Unusual again when I need to supply entertainment for an event. Who wants a disco!!!

We have just used slightly unusual for an 18th birthday in a back garden and i do have to say that it was the best thing to do by a mile, i felt like i didnt need to entertain our guests as such and it meant that i could enjoy our sons birthday with him instead of running around like a headless chicken looking after guests!
From the moment Craig Russ and Kat arrived my stress levels returned to normal and our guests were thoroughly entertained. I have already handed Slightly Unusual's contact number out to 15 of our guests. Everyone enjoyed themselves and Roberts 18th birthday party will be a talking point for a very long time to come.

I have seen Craig from Slightly Unusual perform several times and I would recommend that if you get the opportunity to see him don't miss it. He is an awesome magician and entertainer, his close up routine is nothing short of "magic". The fork bending routine blew me away.. Usually with magic you can work out how it's done and so some of that excited, childlike feeling is lost...not with Slightly Unusual! They are unlike anything I have seen before and nothing matches up to them! They are incredible at what they do and their magic is astounding.
