Avoid at all costs. Had a simple electric shower replacement, was charged over double the quoted price. Ruined electrics to the shower unit claiming it was previously like so. Left claiming it was not a plumbing job and required an electrician. Electrician who had seen the previous shower let me know the cable was incompatible and cut instead a junction added as opposed to using the correct tools to extend the cable. More...

Had a new Grant Boiler installed by Slaters. 3 years later, we’ve had to get another engineer out and every joint is leaking as they have used plastic pipe inserts and crushed all the pipes, appalling installation. Fantastic service, our boiler died and Nick and his team were round within an hour. They diagnosed that we needed a new one. Having two children in the house we needed it doing fast and they did. I can’t fault the quality of the installation. They were tidy throughout the job and very professional, explaining everything to me about the process and cleaning up as they went. Thank you to Slater Plumbing and Heating for a very professional job replacing our old condensing boiler and fitting a Baxi combi boiler. The house is so warm, lots of instant hot water and it also has freed up space in the house following removal of water tanks so that space can be utilised elsewhere. Slater plumbing fitted a new boiler and radiators 7 months ago we have had problems with the boiler ever since constantly loosing pressure and noisy and leaking radiator valves, informed Nick Slater of this and he promised to return to fix the problems, he never came back and will not answer any phone calls we have left or letter we have written, also we now find we have paid for a equipment he has not fitted ie a Magnetic boiler filtration system..

Asked for a plumber to come out on the day and fix my boiler as it had broken the night before. He got back to me and left me a voicemail saying someone would be out at 6pm. At around half 6/7 o'clock, I started ringing both their 01782 number and the mobile number he had left on the voicemail. No answer on both after multiple attempts.
