Had a two hour shoot with Mr Gaskell,what can I say,such a professional photographer.Makes you feel relaxed Infront of the camera,so you get some great and natural photographs. Not a clock watcher and even took the time togo over all the pics and give his expert opinion of which ones he liked at the end of the shoot.Easy to get along with,an eye for detail and a genuinely top bloke.I would highly recommend this gentleman for high quality photos and will definitely be using him again in the future.Don't delay book him today!!! Really great service. The online service to book an appointment was really intuitive and straight forward with signing of model release and contract very straight forward. The appointment reminders were helpful too. The photographer, Stephen, was excellent, arriving bang on time, rapidly setting up whilst simultaneously putting me at ease and preparing me for the shoot with a relaxing and light-hearted manner. The shoot itself was easy, tips on how to hold one's head and posture led to surprisingly instant professional shots, which we could review as we went on. A good number of shots were taken, after which the photographer and I rapidly sorted into 'candidate' and 'reject'. A few days later, these were available to view online in a raw state, choosing the required amount, adding these to a basket, paying for them and then a few days later received download links to colour corrected high quality professional head shots ready to add to services like LinkedIn and the like. What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I like to delve into the reasons why you're looking for a photographer. My photographs should be there to tell your story, therefore I want to know what your story is. This helps me deliver exactly what you need but ensures you get more than what you want.
What do you love most about your job?
I love the excitement of meeting new people and finding out their story and where they are going. I genuinely believe that getting involved with people in this way allows me to take great photographs and produce great videos and it is very satisfying when I exceed my clients' expectations.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've always been a creative type and I've always taken photographs and been keen to improve my art. After 30 years in the rat race, I wanted to take time out to progress the things I love doing - creating great images and meeting amazing people. I decided that the business knowledge developed over many years coupled with my artistry was something that many people who are starting out in businesses of their own could make use of, and so Skyhawk Pictures was born.
