We had so much fun doing our engagement photoshoot with Tara! We chose Kualoa Regional Park, and she knew the lay of the land really well. She captured some amazing shots, including drone and in-water photos, and was very generous with her time. I was a little hesitant when my wife told me that she booked a family photo shoot for us while we were staying in Hawaii. I thought it would be long and boring and take away from our exploring time . Plus we would be taking tons of photos already. Boy  was I wrong. It ended up being a fun and amazing experience. The 2 hours flew by because we were having so much fun. The best part was that Tara was able to capture these great moments that we would have never been able to get ourselves. The beach scenery is so incredible so why not have amazing background instead of the regular park or field shoots you do back home. Tara is amazing!!! Luckily, we found her on Yelp :) Tara helped us do a very sort noticed family photoshoot on Waikiki Beach while we were in town on our vacation and we absolutely love the results! We have a toddler who really did not like to smile on demand but Tara (being a mother herself) was so patient and fun that our son finally cracked and gave us some beautiful smiley pictures. :) Tara was easy to work with, punctual (even though we were not), kind and even resourceful (gave us some hiking recommendations that were stroller friendly.) Tara was great with our Hawaii family photographs. Family of 13 with ages 8 months to 65. Easy to communicate with and answered all my questions. Was able to change our date due to rain. Told her our vision of what we wanted and we had fun during our photo shoot. She is great with kids too. Tara did an absolutely incredible job with our engagement session! Prior to our shoot, she was responsive, accommodating, and answered any questions we had! Before we even speak about the photos, we must recognize that Tara was essentially part engagement photographer, part surprise proposal planner, and most definitely part stylist. She even helped us order a Haku (Flower crown), which even the locals were raving about!! She helped with every detail to make sure our special day was one of the most incredible days of our lives!  Now about the photos- We could have never imagined these shots coming out any better! Tara not only takes great pics, but is a truly gifted artist whose creativity is always on display.  We got close-ups, far aways, panos, and from every angle in-between.  Not to mention the drone shots, which make Tara even more unique and talented!  Tara not only helped plan 1 gorgeous sunset session, but helped us plan a 2nd sunrise session the next morning!!!  The shots from each session were truly breathtaking and we can't even describe how happy we are with our photos.Tara sent us our sneak-peak very quickly, and we had our entire album within the week!  We would love to be a reference for Sky and Reef Photography and can't recommend Tara enough.Tara is simply the best!  We can't thank her enough, and if the opportunity presents itself we hope to have her fly to the mainland to capture or wedding as well!  Tara is the real-deal and make no mistake, she is one of the most impressive photographer we have ever seen.Tara we cannot thank you enough and hope to see you soon. We recently had some family photos done in Hawaii and Tara was super awesome. Loved how we had a shared Pinterest board so she knew exactly what I was looking for. I saw the pictures my friend got during their honeymoon with Sky and Reef photography and I was blown away! The location was gorgeous, and my friends looked completely natural, relaxed and happy in all of the shots. I was planning a trip to the Island anyway and wanted to have a photo shoot with my boyfriend for keepsakes. I got Tara's information and she was very quick to respond and was in constant contact which helped me feel better about the booking. I was extremely nervous to do a photoshoot because earlier this year I took professional business headshots for the first time and I felt and looked completely awkward and I didn't want this to be a repeat of that. Right away I felt that Tara was very easy to talk to and she had great ideas about the poses and knew awesome locations to shoot at. The day of my nerves came back but when we were hiking to our location our conversation was so easy going it made me relax more. I told her about my last experience and how I didn't want to come off as being stiff and awkward and so she gave us some prompts to read before each shot. Those were amazing! Tara was fantastic to work with. I've had my share of photographer encounters and Tara is truly a gem. She knew we liked light and airy photos and wanted a few candid yet posed photos. I had my maternity shoot in Hawaii. Tara provided beach suggestions and was very responsive and easy to work with. She's so personable that you don't feel uncomfortable and she listens to any ideas you may have for a shot. My husband and I just love Tara! We got married at my husbands grandmas house so I was so afraid we would have crappy wedding photos. Tara really knew how to work around the obstacles and gave us BEAUTIFUL wedding pictures! I cried when looking at the final pictures. We knew Tara was amazing from our epic pre wedding Yosemite shoot and our wedding pictures are just as amazing! We took pre wedding pictures (1 month before) in Yosemite National Park. We just got the pictures back and we are OBSESSED! Tara is AMAZING! She’s fun and adventurous, and she makes you feel comfortable taking pictures (something my fiancé and I are very awkward at). When we booked Tara one of the first things we told her was that we wanted pre or post wedding photos in Yosemite, she had never been and was completely up for the adventure immediately, which made us love her even more! I can't compliment Tara enough, she is an amazing photographer! She did my engagement and wedding, and both came out excellent! My husband and I had never done any type of professional photo shoot before so we were pretty nervous, but Tara made the engagement shoot so much fun and casual that we were very much at ease and had a great time. As for the wedding, Tara has an exceptional eye for different angles and knew how to get some really fantastic shots. She captured the mood of our special day perfectly. She was very professional but also very easy-going; a joy to work with! I had no issues at all, and she was always quick to reply to any questions I had, via email or text. This review is so long overdue! I had the pleasure of working with Tara for my twin girls' FIRST birthday. She is beyond amazing and super professional. Tara definitely exceeded my expectations. She came early to set up and took so many memorable shots at their birthday party.  It is not easy to capture twin babies and she went above and beyond to make sure we had plenty of pictures of the twins together and also individually. She was patient, calm, and very flexible. The babies were drawn to her calm and positive energy. Tara even went out of her way to capture all our guests at the birthday party too! We originally found Tara on Bark. She responded very quickly. My fiancé and I live in the desert so we were looking for someone who knew beachside locations well since we were not local. What drew me to Tara's photos is not just her ability to capture nature in motion, but the moment between the couple. It's so hard to find a photographer capable of capturing both! Other photographers had great backgrounds, but weren't even paying attention to what the couple was doing. From the start, Tara was always genuine, more interested in the overall vision rather other photographers trying to upsell and talk themselves up. My fiancé and I live in the desert. We wanted someone who knew beachside locations well since we weren’t local. I used Bark to find her and she responded quickly. Many photographers had scenery, but failed to grasp the chemistry between a couple. What drew me to Tara’s work is her eye for nature in motion and her attention to catch the chemistry between two people. It’s so hard to get both, but we were able to find this with Sky and Reef Photography! She does great quality, timeless work. We got our photos shortly after! We hired Tara (aka Sky & Reef Photography) to take  new family photos. Getting one decent photo of a family of six, including a hungry newborn and a wild toddler, is a challenge. Tara captured 30+ frameable, Insta-ready photos in an hours time! I don't know how she did it - maybe magic. We're very happy with her work.
