This place makes you feel very welcome from the moment you walk in. My fiance and i were greeted with some amazing tea and had a nice little conversation with the owner (Yvonne) who made certain our massage needs were addressed. We did a couples massage, i like a firm touch and she a bit more gentle. The ladies we got were amazingly gifted at finding just the right spot! We then stepped into the steam room that felt great and topped the visit off with some champagne and chocolate covered strawberries! I love this place and will be back next time i visit California. My face feels and looks amazing every single time I leave Skinterest spa! I found Skinterest 3 years ago through Google.  I have had facials done for years at other places, but the impact and results were never like this...the skin on my face has transformed for the best!Before going to Yvonne, my skin wasn't too terrible, but I did have some adult acne, sun spots and I thought the texture of my skin was soft.  During my appointment, Yvonne performed the facial by examining my face, feeling the texture of my skin, performed extractions and provided her professional opinion while I spilled my guts to her about my divorce  btw, she's a great listener Due to my acne-prone skin, she recommended a specific skin care regimen for me to do at home.  Additionally, I mentioned that I generally get these deep painful pimples on my chin. I thought it was 100% hormonal (partially is), but she had recommended I cut back/cut out eating prawns and/or shellfish.  So, I took her recommendation and completely cut out shellfish. 3 years going strong and have not had regular deep painful pimples since!I apologize this review is extra long as I believe what Skinterest spa has done for me and strongly recommended Skinterest as your spa experience (e.g., facials, massage, etc.)!!!!  Thank you Yvonne and team More...

If I could give Skinterest 6 stars, I would! This was my first visit to Skinterest (super catchy name by the way ), and I was really impressed by not only the top notch service, but also the quality of the facial I received.  I saw Yvonne, the owner of the spa.  She is very warm and has a very welcoming and inviting energy. I am new to the area and so glad I found Skinterest!I have been going to Yvonne who has really helped me clear up my skin. I've always struggled with acne but even more so now as I am recently pregnant and dealing with hormonal changes. Yvonne and team have  really helped me understand whats going on in my body. Yvonne is extremely informative and helped me understand whats going on underneath! She has suggested lifestyle changes, diet changes and products to use. My skin has never felt/looked better. Skintrest is a boutique spa in the heart of Laguna. The owner is very kind and the place has charm. Had an insane massage from Michaela. It was deep-tissue but was unlike any other deep tissue I've had; I told her my problem areas and she essentially did intense stretches on muscles I didn't even know I had. I'm sure she'd be wonderful at giving any type of massage, but if you're going to get her, I'd recommend taking advantage of her rare abilities, and getting the kind I got: the kind that isn't for the faint-hearted. It was the sort of pain you only have when you know you're healing. It had mental and physical effects. But rest assured, I was allowing her to push me because I knew I needed it, and she maintained excellent communication on my comfort level throughout. I had a few knots that only the most determined masseuse could untangle. Of course, she did. Michaela is an excellent and enthusiastic masseuse with extensive knowledge of the human body. I had a deep tissue massage with Valentina at Skinterest. She knows what she is doing and applies firm pressure and uses hot stones very effectively. I went in because my upper back and lats were very tight after a work-out. She really helped me! This place is slightly hidden from the street in the Lumberyard Shops. This place is absolutely amazing!!! been to other day spas around Southern California and this by far the best experience I've come across even when comparing to The Montage day spa this was even more satisfying. The staff was very welcoming and inviting as I was greeted and taken care of by Yvonne with accommodating my needs very well. I was unsure as to which treatment to purchase, but Siena my esthetician recommended an excellent facial treatment putting my mind and body at total ease allowing for a relaxing yet very professional treatment. Okay at first I was skeptical because all the reviews on here had 5 stars but I must say this place is the real deal. Yvonne is great! Her spa and herself have such an amazing energy I 100% recommend this place. I had the vacuodermie done to my body and I felt really great afterwords. I was also super smooth and my skin looks even no bumps and after my first appointment. Just speaking to her you can clearly understand she loves what she does and has a knowledge of skin care that is super impressive. I happened in here based on Yelp reviews when I had a friend in town. I'm 49 and have been getting facials since my 20s, in S. Florida and NYC.  Yvonne's was among the very best.  Her approach is very personalized. She is extremely honest and skilled.  She made product suggestions but no pressure.  The products she sold me were reasonable and, it's been 2 weeks- my skin looks better than it has in years. Amazing! I booked a couples aromatherapy massage for my boyfriend and I, both never had a professional massage. We felt welcome immediately upon entering by the lady in the front. She was super sweet and informative. I cannot remember the lady who massaged me but she was very kind and took into consideration that it was my first time. My girlfriend booked a couples massage here and it was great! Very friendly host at the front desk and staff as well. Walked into Skinterest with sunburnt, blotchy, aging skin and left feeling like...well, like I had a hint of the lovely skin of many years ago. Really got a terrific facial in the most relaxing of experiences. And my esthetician was so clearly in the know about truly caring for your skin on a daily basis. My only complaint is that expensive products were pushed within 5 minutes of beginning our session until we left. My best friend and I visited Laguna Beach for our birthday weekends and stumbled upon the Skinterest Spa on Yelp. They were able to get us in right away. From the moment we entered to the moment we left, we were completely pampered. It was the best facial we had ever had. So relaxing and peaceful and used amazing products. In researching different options to get rid of cellulite, I came across vacuodermie. It is not very common here in the states, but is more so in Europe. People were reporting great results, so I thought it time to give it a shot.I called to inquire about their services and process, and spoke with Yvonne. She was very helpful and patient, as I asked a lot of questions. After doing extensive research on vacuodermie vs. endomologie, I decided to give vacuodermie a shot. I was shocked at the results. I lost a little over 1/2" after the FIRST session! I decided to buy a series of 7, and I've had 4 treatments so far. LOVE LOVE THIS SALON!!!!  I treated myself to my first facial ever for my 50th birthday! Sienna was absolutely special, so sweet, informative, helpful,l genuinely seemed to care and to listen to my skin concerns, The facial was like heaven. I was here with a friend about 3 weeks ago and I loved it. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful skinterest experience for this valentine's day.  We did a romantic couples massage where we were both next to each other enjoying great touches by both masseuse.  After feeling very relaxed we got to share a eucalypus steam shower together which is great for respiratory breathing.  All this was finished off with some champagne and chocolate covered strawberries all presrnted perfectly by Yvonne the owner.  It was a truly relaxing and romantic experience and it's great to have a massage by people who truly care.  Thank you Yvonne!
