Sizewise Studio is run by Chris Winter, and provides design, artwork, copywriting, retouching, websites, print, logos, ID, graphics support, large format imagery, backlit display solutions and photography services. I'm a one-stop shop for all your artwork and design requirements, however basic or complicated. My service is ideal for small businesses and start-ups requiring a professional presence both on and offline.

"Unlike most artworkers I didn’t want to become an 'agency creative' who just worked on corporate campaigns. The detail of smaller, personalised work for individuals and small businesses is just as important and rewarding. Aside from designing logos, brochures, websites and more, I can make sure they're printed beautifully, and will also supply digital artwork back to you so you have everything you need for any use. What good is a logo if you can't use it across all your documents, social media, website and anything else you may need? Lateral thinking, good communication skills and the ability to spell also helps make Sizewise a really useful studio resource."

Communication with Chris at sizewise was very good and a slight delay in delivery was quickly attended to. The ordering process was a doddle and best of all, the actual product was exactly as shown on the webpage.
The size was a perfect fit, and the art reproduction was clear and sharp. Overall, I was very pleased.

Creative and quick, resulting in us having a website with which we are very pleased and which has attracted a lot of favorable comment. All done at very reasonable up front and maintenance costs.

Chris at Sizewise has been a joy to work with. Along with setting up a great website, he has assisted us with logo, stationery, branded clothing for the business, vehicle artwork, and all associated admin. A thorough approach to all aspects of our branding and web presence has taken every bit of hassle out of this process. Highly recommended.

We’ve been working with Chris for many years now. Sizewise has provided long-term and ongoing graphics and artwork support, everything from logos, brochures, including copywriting, to website design and maintenance, The cherry on the cake for me personally is that he runs our Mailchimp campaigns from top to tail! Great communication and basically an all round pleasure to work with.

Chris has helped give my company a very slick logo, website, maichimp campaign amongst many other things. With Chris's expert help we get to portray visually what our company is about, which in our case is bespoke, high quality design and woodwork. Sizewise, to us, represents a wide range of invaluable skills and value for money. Oh, and Chris is a great guy too... Thanks for your continued help Chris. Recommended!!

Sizewise Studio Q&A

Sizewise Studio Q&A

What makes a great website?

In a word – clarity. This means solid design to get across the message that suits your service or product best, so that visitors immediately understand what you offer. Simple navigation is a must - there's nothing worse than complexity when moving around a website. And of course a great look. You and your company needs to look good and to display balance, calmness and authority.

What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?

Do you have an idea of what you want? Are there any things you don't want to see in the work? And aside from having a thorough conversation about the details of your project, how best would you like to communicate with me? Emails, phone calls, PDFs etc. What works best for you?

What information do you need from a client before you start work?

Obviously the details of the job. I have a checklist for this that covers any type of artwork, online of offline. Depending on the work I may also ask if you would like any aspects of the job supplied to you separately. For example, if some icons or illustrations are made for a leaflet, you may also want these as individual artwork files for your website, emails or social media.

What sorts of printing projects do you usually cater for?

Logos, business cards, leaflets and brochures make up a lot of what I do, but also websites, image retouching, adverts, banners, exhibition stands and image origination - such as icons, maps and photography.

Describe your creative process.

Firstly an initial discussion where I find out the project details and we have a conversation so you can get an idea of who I am and what the ballpark cost might be. If you want to proceed, we'll first decide on how that will work. that might be a first draft PDF showing a basic design for your job, followed by further PDFs until you’re happy with everything. Along the way we may clarify exactly what's being supplied at the end, making sure there are no surprises. Clear communication at all times makes for smooth, efficient work.

What do you love most about your job?

I love the feeling when you know you've surpassed expectations and provided top-drawer service – at a price that the customer likes. The process of getting to that point starts with clear communication, with an understanding of how the project will progress, so the only surprises to the client are the creative delights that appear in the job.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Setting up Sizewise Studio allows me to offer a unique one-stop-shop service that's close to home and family. Getting the work/life balance is crucial, and being able to ensure that high standards are always maintained is very important to me.

Why should our clients choose you?

Sizewise Studio works to the creative standards of London agencies – without the nonsense or the inflated prices. Every single job, from a small press advert to a full rebranding project, is treated with my full care and attention. Nothing is left to chance, and I provide many extras you won't find elsewhere. Spelling for one! It's amazing how many errors you see on websites and in brochures these days. I'll also provide digital assets from every job for you to use elsewhere – on social media, online, wherever you want. Give us a try, you won't be disappointed.
