We did our research and felt Sit Means Sit was the best place for our boy Tracker an 18-month-old Belgian Malinois. Tracker, while a very smart boy he is also very stubborn at times and does what Tracker wants. Our concerns were having Tracker come when called, holding sit, heeling and some aggression toward males. We had a personal consultation with Sit Means Sit Owner Kris McKenzie who listened to our concern and assured us those behaviors would be addressed through their training program. We opted for the 15-day Board & Train and are happy with the results. Tracker is a part of our family and we wouldn't just leave him with anyone, but he was well taken care of throughout his training by the caring and loving staff. During Trackers training we received pictures & videos, he was happy and engaged! We thank the entire staff for their work with Tracker, he is truly better behaved and that makes for a great relationship for us all.Of course we all must remember training isn't over for Tracker or us, Sit Means Sit gave us a great foundation to build upon and it's great knowing if we have questions or concerns the answer is a phone call away as well as weekly Group training that we can choose to attend. If you're looking for Dog Training, look no further than the professional dog training at Sit Means Sit Tampa! More...

I can't say enough good things about SMS! Everyone there is amazing. I am especially grateful for Olivia. Having a dog with aggressive tendencies can be scary. Though he's always been fabulous with me, I can't say the same when it comes to other people. It's always been disheartening to me that not everyone gets to see the amazing dog he has the potential to be. Bandit has shown kennel aggression, territorial aggression, and reactivity to other dogs (Animals in general) since he was a puppy. He's now three, and I had just given up hope that it would ever improve. Until we found SMS! Though his aggression will never go away, we are learning how to safely manage it. Olivia has been fantastic with my family, and Bandit. Bandit adores her, and so do we! She answers all our questions, and calms any fears. Though we have a lot of work still to do, I can already see so much improvement. Thank you Olivia, and everyone at Sit Means Sit! ❤️ More...

I am also please with her trainers Gilbert and Shea and their relationship with my dog. My husband and I have 5 dogs. At the time we put 4 through the program because we did not have the 5th one. My oldest dog is 12 years old with no training. I soon got 2 more dachshunds and then a German Shepherd. Being that the 3 dachshunds had no training, we knew it was irresponsible on our part to have a bigger dog that was untrained. When I dropped off my first two (German Shepherd 6 mo. & dachshund 1 yr) I told Ryan, good luck! LOL They are very energetic since they are puppies and the GS was already taking in bad habits from the little ones. Always barking, was getting on top of our counters, very reactive. Typical dog stuff. After a couple days we received videos of them walking by other dogs and no barking! I was witnessing a miracle! After 2 weeks we got them back and we saw a MAJOR IMPROVEMENT. Dogs are dogs, so of course they are still a little reactive and bark, but it's much much much MUCH EASIER to stop it! No more haggling. I say quiet and they're quiet! Especially with as many dogs as we have, we had no idea how to train them all at once. Then they took in the other two dachshunds. The 12 year old and the 5 year old who are the most spoiled. To my surprise they were very disciplined the first couple of days! The little ones always pulled on the leash and was starting to hurt my shoulder. Not anymore!! They all walk beside me with no tugging. So now my husband walks the GS while I walk the 3 dachshunds. And yes they are actually pretty good at walking all together. IT IS POSSIBLE!Now that we have another puppy, a GSD Shar Pei mix, we have him into training too. Since the other dogs are into their routine, he falls into place. We also got him a place mat, and an ecollar. Not only does this program know how to train your dog, they are also very passionate and loving about it. You can tell they love your dog like it was their own. They are also very knowledgeable about the raw food diet. I highly suggest talking to them about it. I want to say a huge thank you to Jaden and Sam too who helped make this possible! Also, being that this is basically a franchise for dog training, it was a HUGE PLUS for being in a military family. Training is every week for the lifetime of the dog, so your dog can interact with other dogs that have been through the same program. My husband and I are moving across the country due to military orders, and we don't have to worry about the dogs not socializing with other trained dogs. They have someone out there too! I hope they are just as great as Ryan, Sam, and Jaden! We are truly going to miss this little family! More...

Long overdue review! We rescued our little blue nose pitbull from the shelter in Martinez CA in 2017. He was a timid 5-6 year old boy who was clearly mistreated by his previous owners and as a result of that very nervous around men and would get fearful and nip out of fear. Ryan first boarded Xander for 5 days to get a sense how he is and the type of personality he has to prepare him for group training sessions. With about 6 months of group training as well as plenty of socializing, I can say that Xanders results are like night and day. Today he is more submissive and allows for a proper Introduction between himself and men whom he doesnt know. Thank you Ryan and team for all of your hard work! More...

Cole and the team at Sit Means Sit have completely changed my family’s life! Our pup Ace (100lb, 1 y/o, crazy energetic lab mix) has total impulse control and manners now, while STILL being fun and loving. He used to drag me on walks, to the point where it felt unsafe if he were to catch an eye on something and I wasn’t in full tug of war mode. This program has also transformed his anxiety! I can’t thank SMS enough for everything they’ve done. I went from being a total skeptic to not being able to imagine life without the Day Train program! If you are in search of something that WILL produce results this is the place to go - they treat your dog like their own. Daycare is pretty awesome too! More...

I was walking my dog daily with stress and apprehension...trying to avoid crossing paths with other dogs, their owners, pedestrians (even school kids waiting at bus stops) and bicyclists as my dog would lunge and bark looking crazily aggressive. Very glad I found Ryan and his team. My goldendoodle used to be super friendly, but developed aggressive behaviors towards other dogs after a few biting accidents. I was very sad and felt very sorry for him as we could on longer take him to dog parks and off-leash areas for fun.We came to Ryan ~half year ago and did the board and train for 3 weeks.  I was a bit skeptical about e-collar training like most of people. However, I do think with professionals like Ryan to guide you, it could be a very effective tool for training. I like the fact that the group classes afterwards are free life-time long. The group classes are super fun for both dog and human, and work the dog's brain and sharpens their focus at the same time. Moreover, with Ryan and team's supervision, it creates a very safe environment for your dog to interact with other dogs. My dog loves to play with other dogs and never showed any aggression during the free play time in class (to my big big surprise...).And I think my dog is regaining his confidence more and more when around other dogs after these couple months of work. But it definitely still requires ongoing effort. And I am glad Ryan is on my side to help me with all the questions I have. More...

Sit Means Sit in OKC has done a tremendous job with our rambunctious Chocolate Labrador Retriever.  After dragging my wife across the golf course one evening while on a walk, my wife found Sit Means Sit.  We enrolled Rufus James and on Day #1 with Torric and Kayli, there was a big, noticeable positive change in Rufus James' behavior.  We have finished the initial training and continue to work Rufus James at home and bring him back for follow up reinforcement training.  Although Rufus James still gets overly excited when he meets another dog during walks, he is not dragging my wife across the ground anymore.  He is such a different dog now, listening to commands and able to be "Placed" and remaining in "Place" for extended periods, like dinner time.  We will continue our relationship with Kayli and Torric, as we continue the journey with our "Lovable Knucklehead", Mr Rufus James ! At first glance, this training seems expensive however, now that I have had my two older dogs go through, I can tell you it is worth every penny and my husband and I have vowed that any future canines that come into our life will be immediately signed up. My husband and I both came into our relationship with dogs. And they immediately got into scraps that ended in both of us getting bit trying to separate them. For the last three years we have done everything to keep them apart: let them out at separate times, kept their kennels apart, have never been able to walk them at the same time, etc. PAIN IN THE BUTT. We ran into the Sit Means Sit booth at the fair and, after talking with them, decided it was worth a shot to bring some normalcy into our doggy lives and be able to enjoy our dogs instead of being constantly fearful of them coming in contact (and teach my GSD to learn some impulse control when it came to other dogs). After ONE lesson, not only could I have them in the same room but they both obeyed and acted like polite dogs! After two lessons we can walk them together and they both heel and respond to our cues! Now here is the best part of this training. We have very busy lives. We drop the dogs off and they, one-on-one, work with them all day until we come to get them in the afternoon. We spend about 45 minutes learning how to follow up. And it’s easy, the follow up fits right into what we already do every day now with less stress! I have already signed my GSD up for Frequent Fido where she gets a day a month of training for the rest of her life and they do all the work, correcting whatever we have issues with or learning new skills. This training was priceless for us and we HIGHLY recommend it. At the location we go to in Edmond, the trainers are also just fantastic! More...
