I hired the owner, Crawford, on short notice for a kid's cast party at my daughter's school in Montrose. It was a risk because there was no time to vet him or check his reviews. Â Well, the gamble paid off!!! Â He was prompt, professional, respectful and kind to the kids. Â His music choices were spot-on, but he also took requests. Â He also came with some lighting and a wireless mic for singing along! Â The lighting was a definite plus because there were few decorations, so we were able to turn the lights down and have a little light show, and no one was the wiser! Â I can't express what a great time the kids had!! Â If you need just a good, basic DJ at a reasonable price, I highly recommend Silver Star. More...

Silver Star provided a photo booth in my home for my daughter's birthday party. I booked last minute and Crawford was extremely responsive and quick with responses as well. He showed up early and stay late. He created a custom background and let me modify. Very easy to work with with. The pictures were a huge hit with my daughter and her friends. These guys did a great job DJ'ing our wedding. The flexibility provided by this vendor was the best attribute for us. We had many last minute schedule changes and they were always very gracious and accommodating.

Weddings are about merging families together in an event that will bring joy for all the years to follow. Silver Star Entertainment DJ services were absolutely awesome and provided the ambiance that ensured we had the night to remember forever. Some miscommunication with the venue and weather mishap changed plans only hours before the event and Crawford was able to ensure everything went smoothly with a lively vibe. His fun lights made it a true dance floor and he was even able to take song requests on spot while ensuring our personal requests were met. I am stationed in the military outside of Texas therefore all prior coordination was via phone and email. He was excellent in responding back to all my questions promptly making me feel at ease through the entire process. My husband and I were very pleased with his flexibility and excellent compilation of music keeping everyone on the dance floor. What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
Read the crowd, play the music they are "in to" at the moment. Don't get stuck on one type of music all night mix it up a little, but concentrate on what the guests are responding to, not what I want to hear. We realize this is not our party it's yours, no two crowds are the same, play to their desires, and to the desires of the people who hired us. Use the microphone to inspire participation and give needed information.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
We are very interactive with your guests, we take requests and have a HUGE library of songs and the ability if needed to play music directly from your device ( phone) if need be. If we have a good cellular signal or wi-fi, we can play any song available online ( which is almost any song ever recorded). Our DJs/Hosts can be very active on the microphone if you desire, or we can simply be a live jukebox. We firmly believe this is YOUR event, and we will do it YOUR way.
What makes photo booths such a great alternative to traditional photographers?
Guests get to take a souvenir home with them, each print is customized to your event,

Too many to mention, silly hats, crazy glasses, feather boas, leis, tierras and masks are among the many props provided.
